That's funny because I thought I was using a YNAMP map. I couldn't tell the difference between official maps and custom ones, they all seemed mixed in both tabs on the map selection screen. I am currently playing on a generic map (Shuffle), after disabling all map mods. I was surprised by the number of options that got removed from the Setup screen.

I was using the UC stuff before, but have now added the 6T line and your full playlist, and everything seems to be running smoothly so far. (Including flooding)

Yes, the map has to be designed for it, placing the "Floodplains" *feature* alone won't do anything. YNAMP's Earth maps and most others on the workshop should support it, but the default ones don't.

It looks like you are correct, and I am impressed. I see volcano warnings, but nothing for flooding. I've seen droughts and storms, but no floods. I'm sure I won't be able to just turn on flooding at this point, I guess I'll have to look for another real Earth map.

Are you playing on a premade map that just doesn't support flooding maybe? Do the floodplain tiles have a little icon in the settler lense indicating that a disaster can happen there?

I seem to be unable to place any Dams. I have rivers and floodplains, and no other dams along the rivers. I count nine viable spots with the river running along at least two sides of the hex, but when I try to build a Dam it just says there is nowhere to build one. Multiple rivers and different cities all giving the same problem. I don't have any other mods that should affect dams or rivers in any way (that I know of). Any ideas?

I'm glad to hear that but also really confused, as disabling this seemed to make the rivers spawn again. I suppose I have some more fiddling to do
JNR  [author] May 1, 2023 @ 12:37pm
That's most likely an issue with something else, this mod does not affect map generation or such in any way.

I can't say for certain but after some troubleshooting this seemed to make rivers not spawn at all on saph's atlantic map

That sucks. Thanks for the quick response.
JNR  [author] Jan 24, 2023 @ 10:29am
not possible unfortunately, dam placement is entirely fixed.

Is there a way to make Dams more placeable. I'm from Tennessee and we have a lot of dams in our hills, yet you can't place Dams on anything but floodplains. Since this mod means dams ad fresh water, and hydro electricity is a thing later game, it makes more sense to increase the viability of building dams by just having them require a river.

Is this a plausible mod or addition to this mod??

I seem to be very confused about this mod.

Don't aqueducts already provide fresh water to their cities? Isn't that the point of building them, so that city you built one tile away from a fresh water source lake can access it?

Does this just expand that functionality to dams and canals?

@JNR

JNR, does this mod (UC_FWW_Aqueduct.sql) work for the Bath district?
Acxa2011 Jun 2, 2020 @ 8:22am
Does this modification work with the latest patch?
Stahlseele May 10, 2020 @ 10:07am
Would it be possible to make it so that Aqueducts can be built on canals as they can on mounntains and rivers?

Another good mod, thanks :)

Because Dam is a GS district
Zaimine Zatchet Jan 10, 2020 @ 3:05pm
why does it require gathering storm?
Maladroit Sep 27, 2019 @ 8:08pm
Have you considered making the dam district become a tile which an aqueduct can be placed next to, when there's no river access on that particular side of the dam district? I ask only because of I'm trying to create a single-dam, 3 aqueduct, 3 factory district as seen in the example on this civfanatics guide: https://forums.civfanatics.com/resources/industrial-zone-placement-guide.27669/ and often the river just isn't where you want it to be for completing the setup. Thanks for your great work!

Is it compatible with June patch ?
