From what I understand, and experienced, they still happen, just that for extreme mental breaks to happen, the pawn would need one moodlet that inflicts at least a -20 debuff before they can break into a murderous spree or some other extreme break. Mod options can adjust the threshold, I set mine to -3, -6, and -10 for each severity since the default values felt too op for me

This only affects the settlers or also the rest of the factions because I have a mon that makes them enter berserk with Scaria, does it affect only one or both factions equally?

I don't know if it's because of this mod, but after installing it I noticed that I never got the extreme mental breaks at all, even when my pawn have negative mood and at least one extreme mood debuff.

how does this mod interact with genes may i ask in particular the aggressive ones, do they still occur regardless of the required moodlet being there?

this mod is a genuine game changer. I try to keep my colonists happy 90% of the time, but that ONE NIGHT where I *NEED* some shit done and I force them to cook instead of sleeping because or else everyone would die of malnutrition, they go on a muderous rampage and kill my doctor...

It just feels unfair that they forget how good their life is within one day and it's enough to make them kill someone.

The way a vanilla rimworld pawn's mind works is simultaneously on par with a 19th century writer and the "nothing to lose type" of person. One of my colonists could have their arm shot off with replacement being impossible and get over it within a few days when the pain subsides, but on the other hand would punch high explosive shells because they apparently focus on how ugly kill boxes are instead of gunning down a man hunting pack of rabbits.

For someone creating a mod that tweaks bad moods that isn't already Vanilla? A complete life saver since a lot of my pawns hate each other or are just sad because we lost skeletons in a battle. This mod prevents me using other colonists to leg sweep the pawns having mental breakdowns which is a good thing!:GhostLoveEyes:

The slider can no longer be dragged in mod Settings. All three phases return to zero. The mod worked fine until one day I wanted to reset it.:steamfacepalm:

@Bepiss I also stop[ped having breakdowns by my colonists, prisoners still have them regularly.

Not even traits like pyromaniac work anymore.

Hoping resubbing wiII fix it.
