Don't use 2k launcher ever.
I noticed when I had this mod downloaded + the cosmetic mod that needed it whenever I had a soldier upgrade their armor it would default to giving them invisible limbs or defaulting the soldier to say the halo mod armor's.
Very happy with this regardless though, thanks!
I am getting modded voices for new recruits though, I assume that's beyond the scope of the mod? No big deal, just a bit weird hearing Garrus in my first mission. He's got calibrations to be doing.
Is that about right?
I was always annoyed i got some super random soldier with bizzare parts
You probably have some incompatible mod, like Unrestricted Customization.
What you can do is get my Appearance Manager mod and set up some uniforms for your soldiers.
Are you also using Unrestricted Customization?
I have no issues with wonky soldiers, as I can just change them and with a bit of tweaking of the ingame settings I rarely get missing bodyparts.
I sometimes like how a randomly generated soldier looks and just expand on that. But since I cannot change Scientists and Engineers this is something really annoying.
In theory it's possible to make any cosmetic body part available to any unit through config. I don't know if there are any mods that already do that, though.
I'll investigate, thanks.
When you upgrade to predator armor the mod stops working . Until this point it works great. All told it's just a minor inconvenience but I just wanted to throw that out there in the event that this is an easy fix. Either way, thank you very much for the mod and I'll keep using it.
Clean Soldier Generation appears to have at least some effect with Unrestricted Customization, but it no longer reliably delivers on the promise of getting rid of the hodge-podge look.
To best of my knowledge using them together does not cause any major issues like crashes.
I've adjusted the description to be less scary.
I have not bothered doing in-depth testing because I no longer use Unrestricted Customization myself and probably never will, so frankly I don't care how compatible they are.
While using this mod with LWOTC it looked like the haven rebels were not getting random mod pieces i.e. no invisible heads. That being said, I stopped using this mod to see if it was causing crashing issues in my campaign. After Turning off this mod, the haven rebels are appearing with lots of crap and clutter on them.
So, since this mod is incompatible with unrestricted customisation, are there any negative affects if used together such as potential crashing? Cause I do mostly want to use this mod to prevent randoms from becoming a mess.
Right.
