WHilst this mod is a cool idea, it messes with the balance pretty bad. Two identical weapons, one with hacker animations and one with katana animations will lead to the hacker animated weapon winning almost every time.

Your argument is completely flawed. The idea itself is important, but turning an idea into a real, functioning mod requires tremendous effort, time, and skill. That effort should not be ignored or dismissed.

Just because a mod is made available to others does not mean the creator's ownership disappears. The creator’s credit must always be respected. To say that an idea belongs to everyone the moment it is realized is to deny the value of creation itself.

If you truly believe that ideas become public property once they are realized, then you do not understand the meaning of effort, dedication, or creative work.

@Lupo Ive been looking to at the same problem. From a reddit post I found it may be that unique skeleton characters like Burn, Agnu and such are not considered normal skeletons and arn't given the animations. I had to disable all combat mods so Burn could swing his giant 2x4 normally. The solution would be that each unique skeleton needs a patch. Im not sure how to do that.

If all skeletons are having that same problem for you then its something else.

Dosn't work for Skeletons, idk why but Burn don't have animations for Heavy Weapons or Hacker Class weapons. Ty for help in advance

This video is hard to follow, but you're supposed to change the name of the mod file in "steamapps>common>Kenshi>mods" to match what it is in "steamapps>workshop"

Mod not working: After installing, there is no damage from Martial arts, not 0 damage, just nothing. No other mods, clean install (i just subscribed to the mod, if there is something more you gotta do please update install instructions to step by step the process.

Too strong a focus on the katana. Other weapon types, on the other hand, do less damage in terms of animation. Unbalanced.

Finally, found the reason why my characters were just twitching or doing 2-3 combat animations on all weapons. It's because of the MEGA All-In-One Compatibility Pack/MEGA Pathfinding mod, don't use both(no idea which one cause it, i'm a noob at mods). Just in case anyone have the same problems as me. If it wasn't the cause on your game, then try looking for mods you installed that affects combat animations or anything that affects visual movements of characters. Hopefully this helps, I'm fairly new and this mod is exquisitely good! Big salute to the author, :steamhappy:

Hi. I've had a request to make a patch for my Main Character Mod for your combat animations. After checking your mod to see what this would entail I saw your animations were all marked "do not merge". I believe I would need to work from a copy of yours and merge my stuff in, rename patch, ect.
Do I have permission?
Alternatively if not, would you consider patching? (my new races use base vanilla models of the original races)

I absolutely love this mod and the available animations increasing as skill level does is SUCH a good touch.

Fighting the UC in my current save and it's an absolute treat to see the back and forth katana fights.

Just thought I'd throw in a comment because yeah it absolutely works.

Well, me too have a problem. Everyone is using 2-3 standart animations on every weapon. I don't have races mods or other combat animation mods. Maybe there is something with install order, idk.

It still has 265,388 users as of right now.
If this mod is broken, this large number of people will not shut up!
So it is obvious that the mod is working properly and is not broken, especially when you look at the lack of fuss about it.
But if someone were to make an accusation like "this mod literally breaks the game", I think anyone would be offended.

One, the mod works fine, as I have said before.
Two, a lot of people are saying it doesn't work without proper verification.
Three, as I've said before, I've told you over and over again to write down the situation in detail.

Four, the mod is now impossible to support thanks to those fuckers who merged the MCA without permission and so on.

Five, this mod works correctly if installed correctly. If you say that it doesn't work in a completely vanilla state, we will deal with it.

Q: For vanilla races (I'll just ignore modded races), is More Combat Animation compatible with More Combat Stance MIABC+ ? Don't both of these mods overwrite the bones (mesh skeleton) in vanilla races?
