NP, I've added line myself in mod folder and everything looks working so just wanted another 168 good guys and girls who added to favorite list just like I am to have no warnings. You're making Rim a bit more playable)

Has now been updated to ensure compatibility with the latest updates, as well as adding support for Vanilla Expanded Apparel - Accessories belts. Please feel free to let me know if I've missed any belts from the DLC, as I only recently bought them (I live in Australia, so had to buy them before they were taken off Steam for us!).

Pretty sure there's no ranged shield belt included with Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids, but there is one added in Vanilla Apparel Expanded - Accessories. I think that's probably the item KommisarBJ is thinking of.

@KommisarBJ Sorry to hear that! Unfortunately due to the fact that Tynan never added a tag specifically for belts to the game's backend code, I can't automatically patch mods in such a way. However, with the exact name of the mod, I could add its belts for you, just let me know or link it below (above? Steam comments are weird) :winter2019happyyul:

Hello! This doesn't seem to work with Mechanoids' "ranged shield belts". I loaded it after that mod but the belts are still degrading.

@Ranger Dimitri Ideally load it after the mods in question, as any mod that patches another needs to do so after said mod is loaded (dependencies, in a way). It's full well possible you may have something else affecting belts (or apparel in general) that may affect this. If you find any errors, feel free to sling them my way and I'll take a crack at them :)

(Good point btw, I'll add a quick note to the page to ensure people load appropriately!)

Is there anything important about Load order by any chance? I've found that even though I placed it after the mods the belt's it works for are in, for whatever reason it doesn't seem to do anything, belts still degrade over time even though I placed it right after the mods that adds belts. Should I put it towards the bottom of my modlist? You really ought to make sure to point out such things for anyone who uses your Mod, if only because it'd save us the headache of having to resort to trial and error every single time someone finds it to not work as intended. But it's a great mod regardless! Does it affect the balance of the game by making it somewhat easier to not have to worry about replacing belts if they get worn down, yeah. But then again, some of the mods people have come up with make that a minor thing to whine about.

Hi, i don't know if you are still interested in adding patches, but the is this new mod that adds two shield belts Shields, Shields. SHIELDS! . It would be very nice, but not essential. In any case, thanks.

@WhiteWolf it's... rather clear, actually. "Fixes the annoyance that is constant belt degradation for belts you're wearing (but not using!) by removing it entirely."

tl;dr equipped belts won't wear down if you aren't being shot :)

@King Belts that are not currently under fire and hence being "used". Yes, it affects enemies as well, but typically an enemy will die rapidly once spawned on your map tile, so ideally it'd be irrelevant:)

Removes it without any other features. Smokepops will still be consumed and shield belts will still degrade when shot, but otherwise they are zero maintenance :)

so do belts require fuel when using this mod or does it remove the degradation effect without any other features?
