I got an unintended solution:

After I got the companion cube to the button on the other side, I came back and, while on the corridor where the lightbridge can be turned on and off, I jumped over my companion cube
to get height. I aimed on the other, activated, bridge, still from the corridor, jumped and shoot the portal to be glitched up to the bridge. I passed trough the portal and grabed the normal cube

That was nice. Cool stuff :]

Well, I think it skips a couple of steps since I'm not sure if I actually got the second cube as intended. I'll replay it and see what I find.

Nah, but honestly, minor things.

Is it intended to stand on the cube and jump from there and catch yourself with the light bridge? Because it's something you can do.

I'm a bit worried about how getting the second cube is a bit reliant on luck and flibsy due to portal 2 mechanics, but I can't think of an easy fix from the top of my head, and hey I got it on my second attempt so I guess it's all good :D

You can get the first cube across by entering the orange portal and crossing the hard light bridge. You can repeat the steps with the second cube.

It's such a complex move that I honestly think nobody will try it. Besides, I'm not sure how that helps you with getting the cube across.

There is a bit of an exploit you can perform by jumping through a portal placed in the button 'closet' and placing a portal as you are jumping through it in such a way that you stand on the edge of the portal and can then jump onto... You know what? It's too hard to explain, so most people probably won't try that. I'll include a screenshot or two, anyway.
