civs spawn too close

The maps look great, but a problem i do have is that 1 civ or more spawns too close to me all the time when i play on detailed maps, even on a huge map with only eight civs, 1 civ or more still spawns too close to me when i tested it. pls fix :(

Completed my first game with this mod, looks fantastic! However, I have a slight issue...there wasn't a single off-shore oil resource on the entire map. It might have just been a quirk for my specific map, but has anyone else had this happen? It seems like a strange thing to have absolutely no off-shore oil hexes.

Hey there, I love the mod :) I know you haven't updated it in a long while (simply because it still works, which is great!) but could I request compatibility with a mod? I've trying asking it on their side but they'd rather not change your map generation "without permission" and recommended I asked it here instead... The mod is the Wide River mod and it would be very nice if, when both mods are active (yours and that one) the wide rivers would generate on your "Detailed" maps!

Thank you very much for the attention and, if not possible, that's ok - I'll understand :) It was worth a shot anyway tho!

I am experiencing and issue where desert flood plains tiles won't take dams at all. Removing this mod fixed the issue.

Does this map work on linux?

All the other earth maps/map scripts don't or are based on Gegemon's work which also doesn't support linux, even after manually renaming everything.

This mod seems broken, I too am experiencing the problem @mjychabaud22 mentions with all the city states nearby.
I am playing on a "gigantic" map (larger map sizes mod) with only 10 city states and there are 7 city states within 20 tiles of me

While I love what the mod does visually for map generation, I've one major gripe: dam placement is highly unreliable. I really enjoy planning out my cities as soon as I settle them, using the map tacks to plan out my districts. But when I finally research the Buttress tech I find many of my dam plots are invalid for no apparent reason. Some rivers allow dams as normal, while others are totally borked. My suspicion is that the map generator is adding rivers and/or floodplains that the game doesn't recognize as valid dam tiles, but to the mod's credit everything looks so seamless you can't even tell until you try and place one. No idea if this is true, if this is an issue others have, and if there's a "fix" -- other than simply disabling the mod in the first place.

While I love the mod, recently it seems to want to put every single city state next to me-to the point that I can capture 5 settlers in a few turns. It seems to have been the Vietnam and Kublai Khan update that caused the problem.

The mod seems to be working fine. Although I think I had some issues with Pangea detailed, but I haven't looked into it much. Every time I try Pangea detailed it crashes before starting a new map.

Is there a bug that prevents construction of a Dam next to a City Center hex? I have 2 desert floodplains on a Small Continents - Detailed map, both adjacent to a costal city, each of which othewise have 2 hex sides on the same river with no resources or improvements on them and the production que reports "no suitable location to zone this district". I've built Dam for 2 other cities on this map, though neither are immediatly adjacent to the City Center hex.

There once was a mod - no longer compatible with current game version - that allowed rainforest to spawn on grassland tiles AS WELL, just as they do on plains in vanilla. It felt more realistic and fair I guess. If that's gonna change, please consider that option.

I think it would look better if you could make rainforest appear on grassland instead of plains, for several reasons. Green is a nicer background for jungle and looks more "wet". It would also remove much of the rainforest adjacent to deserts. To compensate for the lost production they can give +1 production instead of food.

I launched a new game today and did not noticed any problem so far.
By the way, the more the game is updated, the less one gets problems since there is less and less code modifications. I have 90+ mods and saw nothing to complain about with the last update.

@Wilson Fletcher I can confirm that it works with wetlands. Been using both mods for awhile now. I think the author of Wetlands said that it should work with any map script.

@Mockingcrow i looked in the mod files and i don't seem to see anything indicating that it requires new natural wonders to be listed, all scripts contain "include 'NaturalWonderGenerator'" which seems to indicate it's just using the base game's wonder generator

I don't understand why Desert Floodplains don't Flood? It really hurts not having them Flood to increase their yields to make up for the rest of the awful Desert tiles. Egypt especially is intended to live in the Desert Floodplains and gets immunity to the damage of these Floods, but if they never Flood, then it really hurts Egypt (and other Great Bath strategies).

Unfortunately, since this mod hasn't been updated since March 2019, it doesn't include the various new natural wonders, as I believe they have to manually add the wonder to the "possible" list.

If the wonder is newer than March 2019, than its not going to be in the map script for possibly generating it.

I've tried generating a lot of different maps with this mod, and it seems like The Bermuda Triangle natural wonder isn't appearing in any of them. I'm not sure if that's an issue with this mod or with the base game, but it might be worth looking into.

How can one get some polar land? I've seen some only with Island Regions - Detailed. I'd like to have all seven detailed maps to do the same. Can anyone please help? Without a few cities near the poles most high latitude oceans feel rather barren don't them?
