I really love the design but imo it has no place in beginner dungeons.
The fight has a lot of interesting mechanics and I love how the story is told through it, as well as the journals which you get after you beat each version. Not to mention, the design of each of the minibosses is superb, both visually as well as in the persona their attacks convey, via animation, name and effect.
While she is VERY difficult, especially going in blind, a relatively balanced team will probably not have too much difficulty. One thing that somewhat irks is that a mark is relatively useless against bosses with multiple turns, because it tends to run out before you get the chance to exploit it.
- Hellion, Houndmaster, Highwayman, Vestal, as each of the phases is weak to bleed
- Bounty Hunter, Highwayman, Houndmaster, Vestal, so as to exploit marks to their fullest
- Shieldbreaker, Bounty Hunter, Occultist, Arbalest, in order to debuff and break the high prot of most of the phases and breaking the Husband's guard
or maybe I do mod order wrong, you need to put shared asset on top of banshee mod right?
I've never seen it go into a 40+ turn fight even on my longer attempts. You might be exaggerating. imo each phase is well balanced.
It was still an absolute slaughter. This boss is harder than any vanilla boss, and that doesn't feel right for a randomly appearing curio boss that can be auto-triggered by quirks (which the shambler, notably, cannot).
Some kind of adjustment feels appropriate here. Perhaps mandate an item to activate the boss curio (something common, like food or a torch) because you simply stand no chance at all without a -lot- of prior preparation, and even if you succeed any prior mission objective is likely to have to be abandoned.

Like for 100-150+ weeks Ive never see a graveyard for boss summon or smth. Maybe Im doing smth wrong?
That sounds like a glitch. she should have summoned enemies by then. I've never had that happen the 4 or so times I've fought her.
Don't look at the spoiler if you haven't already encountered it!
The boss actions are so sad that when you kill her you feel good to gave her peace at last.
Shit feels like I'm in the court again, the pain is real. 9/10
Fucking brilliant work.
I mean, you murdered my team - but it was done in such a great way it's got me strategizing about my next encounter with the Banshee.
In terms of mods I do run Marvin's Quirk pack, not sure if that's breaking something. But from what I understand you're supposed to have to use a Shovel on the Curio to spawn the boss, right? Much like the Shambler Altar takes a torch?
This fight's a little too brutal for a forced interaction to trigger on it. A damn good fight, but this is the sort of fight you set out loaded for bear to fight, and ignore if you didn't.
Secondly, holy shit that fight is amazing in every respect. You pick up a lot of her backstory from the abilities used, and the art design is on par with official content and blends in with it perfectly. It's also a brutal fight. Miniboss doesn't do it justice. Gonna be hell to take down on Champion, just going by the Apprentice version.
Word to my fellow players, the champion version of this boss fight can be quite overwhelming.
I was able to beat both the Apprentice and Veteran version with 0 damage and 0 stress at the end of combat.
However, with the same team and same provisions, the champion version left my team with roughly 60-75% health remaining and an enormous 80 Stress on each hero. Maybe it was an unlucky set of stress attacks by the Banshee herself on the Champion version, still, the difference in difficulty was immense.
I had gone against the boss with the "boss quest" mod/option, so I was able to provision fully and go in with a fully healthy team.
Take the Champion version very seriously when you attempt to engage this boss.
