it also changes the stats of some 1h weapons in the games which have stats close to 2h weapons. Yeah it could have been a bug originally in the game, it's not normal that a 1h weapon can do almost as much damage as a 2h weapon, but the fact is that it's a big motivation to use a shield, and shields become very useful in the game when arrmors become less useful...
So if there is not something to make armors more usefull at the same time, it affects balance and makes the game harder. I think I'll stay away from this for now, but the idea is interesting...

I like the range idea, but hate the slowing down of the run speed. It's a world with magic, just say a sorceror did it. Can you split up the mod into sections, weapon/run

it took a few hours but i made a new Weapon Stats mod that works with Synergies, including all custom weapons from Synergies. check it out!

Well, if you make this mod compatible with synergies, i'll DEFINITELY use it, it's just... AWESOME, it brings the game near to the reality.

@Killatomate - Torchlight 2 only uses the first file of each name that it loads and fully ignores the rest. So if your mod is loaded first it ignores any file with the same file names that you use that any other mod would also use, essentially only using your changes if you load before Synergies. Users would have your base damage in Vanilla and could choose between your change for extra challenge within SynergiesMOD or could choose to load SynergiesMOD above yours to maintain Salan's boosted damage (which I think is to help offset the additional mobs + extra difficulty changes that Synergies makes).

What if you load this mod before (or possibly after) Synergies mod? One might override the other... Just sayin'.

i tested this mod with Synergies mod and found several conflicts. The Synergies mod raises DPS and enchantments of weapons by 15%, which is then reverted back to default by this mod. i havent found a way to make the mods compatible yet.

Starting a new character with this + Swordsman class. Question - is this compatible with Synergies & other Synergies compatible mods? Or will I have to alter my load order (thus removing Synergies etc to play with this properly?
