I want to play it at the YnAEMP map!!!!!!
Faysal Mar 3, 2016 @ 12:02pm
Venezuela would be a real good one for the YnAEMP map, cause its a large swath of empty space now!
DJSHenninger  [author] Mar 3, 2016 @ 7:59am
Yes it should, but this is rather outdated compared to my newer civ mods. Also, there's another Argentina under Eva Péron by another author. I have plans to update this mod, but it's not a high priority.
E-Pengüin Mar 3, 2016 @ 3:32am
Yay, finally someone makes a mod about argentina.
Does it work with another civilizations mods?
JEELEN Jul 13, 2015 @ 8:28am
@Faysal I've had the same problem with certain custom civs (showing up first, but not later). Try clearing cache is the best I know.
Faysal Feb 21, 2015 @ 9:35am
Fixed :)

Argentine starts right where Buenos Aires is, and I love it!

Very nice civ, thnx!!!
DJSHenninger  [author] Feb 20, 2015 @ 1:58pm
I don't think you're even supposed to use the map like that. But you should ask at the YnAEMP mod and not here.
Faysal Feb 20, 2015 @ 12:47pm
This civ shows in the select screen (without loading a scenario map), but when I load the YnAEMP map and get to the advanced screen, I cant choose it between all civs. I used to be able to though.

Any ideas?

Ah ok... cant wait to see it implemented!

Its an AWSOME mod, really cool, thnx for making it.

It would fill up the south of South America very nicely!

@LB43 Yes, they should be. The same colors as seen in the icon.
Vasquez11C Mar 16, 2014 @ 8:06pm
What color are the units on the map? Are they the same shade of blue?
Zephtion Feb 23, 2014 @ 3:24pm
I'd make some suggestions based on the fact that i'm argentine:

I guess MEAT would be a more representative luxury resource than mate. Not everyone in the world likes mate, and it's at the same time a shared custom with other countries such as paraguay or uruguay, even some arabic countries. The CARNE however, that really is unique.

And as for the unique boost, Pais Cerealero would be nice. Greater food production per city but slower growth rate. Means they will never starve but surely grow at a much slower pace (remember, we got a large country but very few people in it!)

San Martin and not Peron?
[TAG]Alblaka Sep 30, 2013 @ 1:57am
Comes probably down to playstyle, but I rarely build Trade Posts. Usually prefer farms to ensure a high population growth + science buildings to produce mass science. Usually build tradeposts on unproductive or puppet citys, though.

And I was recommending the +2 on plantations/quarries additionally to the +1 on trade posts.

Albeit you seem to be right, gaining multiple instances of a unique luxury good IS pretty powerful (had a recent game where I early on conquered my continent (Keshik's ftw) and had the complete monopoly on 5 luxury goods with 4-6 multiples each. Dominated the trade).
Probably the nation kit as whole isn't exactly underpowered.

Thanks for the input, will keep UB's and UA's in mind the next time I judge a nation.
DJSHenninger  [author] Sep 29, 2013 @ 9:09am
@Alblaka After you can build trading posts, they may become very common, though it depends on your playstyle. Also, you should consider the civ in its entirety. The UB gives you a free unique luxury, which is a powerful effect.
You mean +2 on plantations and quarries and +1 on trading posts or just plantations and quarries? The latter would be even more lackluster, since quarries aren't common either :P
[TAG]Alblaka Sep 29, 2013 @ 9:04am
I can't but think that the UA is somewhat lackluster. Sure, a free scientist isn't bad... but Plantages aren't that common and you can't build trade posts early on (where the +1 research would matter the most).
How about making it +2 on Plantages and +1 or 2 on Quarrys? (as mines and farms obviously are too common).
DJSHenninger  [author] Aug 8, 2013 @ 12:51am
hah, totally not, Babylon has a defensive style with their extra strong walls and effective bowmen. Their trait also gives you Great Scientists 50% faster starting from writing, while this trait only gives you a single scientist when discovering education. Not to mention that there are two traits as well as a unique luxury resource ;p
Lord Bucket Aug 7, 2013 @ 11:36pm
Isn't this exactly like Babylon?
DJSHenninger  [author] Aug 5, 2013 @ 7:25am
@wladyman Hi, I do not have this bug. I sometimes get this bug out of nowhere (mods or not), which is obviously really annoying. Anyway, try to activate only this mod and see what happens. Also, if you start in the Renaissance era, do you still get this bug? Also, did you get this bug only once or multiple times?
Stygimoloch Aug 5, 2013 @ 7:02am
Is anyone else getting that bug in which you're stuck on 'choose production' in all of your cities after researching education and getting your free GS?
DJSHenninger  [author] Jul 31, 2013 @ 2:00am
Oh yes, damn, I forgot that they added Buenos Aires as a City State in BNW. I'll update it.
Vie S Jul 30, 2013 @ 5:03pm
Suggestion:
Since BNW added Buenos Aires as a City-State, I'd recommend removing it from the list of City-States when this mod is loaded (and possibly replace it with something else). With this mod active, it is possible for both the Argentine Capital of Buenos Aires and the City-State of Buenos Aires to exist on the same map. They'll end up being named the same everywhere but the city banner, where the CS has some random name that's never used anywhere else.

Other than that, great mod!
DJSHenninger  [author] Jul 26, 2013 @ 10:01am
Nice, this was one of my first mods ;)
VTShark Jul 26, 2013 @ 9:16am
Been looking forward to an Argentina civ. Can't wait to play it :)
