please decide which face style you're going to go for BEFORE spriting them, because the final product looks like it's searching for a middle ground, but just can't find it.
aside from that, the custom sprites are pretty decent. the props are recognizable, for the most part. however, this level REALLY needs to make better use of custom weapons. the color choice is... well, to put it bluntly, awful. again, it's searching for a middle ground but failing spectacularly.
+1 for the Thanos cameo.
Most of what you mentioned were flaws I could kind of sense but ended up seeing through because I had no one to test the level. Yes, the cutscenes in the intro can get annoying and I admit I went full random with the tiles. The weapons are the same out of sheer lack of imagination, and the face sprites are old and could've been remade. The lack of a zoom option in the editor didn't really help with level design, either.
Anyway, this was supposed to serve more as a showcase for all the sprites, so I'm glad you liked the rest.
