16 Aug 2025: Played Atlas ~450 hrs through 2020; back now with a modded SP install. My semi-final list: Custom Shipyard, Tame Overhaul, Atlas Shipwright (v0.8), Klinger Additional Ships (Reforged), Klinger Parts V1 & V2, Atlas Beastmaster (v0.11.1), Atlas Architect (v1.3), Rustic Buildings, [SPUK] Advanced Structures, Regenerating Ships (Continued), More Crops, Lanterns & Torches Galore, Eco’s RP Decor (Continued), Atlas Transfer/Pickup Gun, Marvelous Spyglass, Better Kraken, Pirates Roam. Dropped Atlas Uncut (caused checkerboard skin bug; underwear issue wasn’t worth it). Testing revealed [SPUK] Advanced Structures changes the skill tree: most looked fine, but it removes Spear, Waterskin, and Note, which complicates early game and breaks immersion. For now, I’ll skip using it, though I may try modding it later to restore those items.

Hello everyone!
I have the following problem:
I recently noticed some disappearing SPUK storage boxes in my single player where I stored fertilizer, nitro fertilizer and some other items in.
They are just gone - without any notice or notification in the company log.
After reading in this issue I figured that this is probably not a mod, but a game problem since I'm missing a cow and a monkey as well.
But maybe one of you might have a solution or at least a hint for me to hopefully avoid such a problem in the future.
Would be appreaciated.

my issue is the cargo containers you place them down and you walk right through them cant even have acccess to them on the side have to get on to top to access them and when you place them down they set where there suppose to

anyone know how to make the wind tower work, i cant connect the outlet or tubes, i tried all i could imagine. u could make the tower a structure like any other so at least with NoFoundationSupportRequired true we can make it float and have nothing to make collision happen the placement collision option doesnt work at all with it lol other than that works great!

Put out huge storage box and can not delete it. Can not access anything or use unless the version for the ship. How can I remove the items or remove it

Sorry Nyx, the last patch broke it again after I had fix this issue a while back. I don't know why they hate the windtower. I can not give an ETA for the fix, but I am aware of it. If you are able to turn of collusion, you can try if this helps.

I'm still unable to place the wind tubes and the wind outlet. Am I doing something wrong? It tells me that the place is obstructed, but I removed pretty much everything (even walls) within a few block area.

The converter is on top of my list. I hope I have time to make an update when summer is over. Right now I don't have the time to work on the mod.

Any way we could get a BP converter? So I can make the Blueprints I find and convert them to SPUK so I can pick up BP crafted building pieces?

Sorry Joew, i did work days and weeks on a way to change the crafting costs on mod side, but anyway I found had some sort of bug or exploit bound to it. I think this needs first to be fixed on ATLAS side or it would need some extend own system overriding some vanilla functions like the demolisch. I think the second isn't worth is, as we know the underlaying ARK code can work with crafting overrides, so it makes more sense that ATLAS is fixing this in their code. But i have no clue if they have this on their list or are even aware, that the old system used by ARK is broken.

@Harley Quinn i found that the error isn`t your mod or the other mod. It is because i used CraftingOverrides to change the recipe, and this config is broken now =( I removed all overrides and works, but i can not change the recipes =(

It causes me a lot of others troubles too, cause i do not want use gold to craft ships, shipwards and now i can not change recipes.

Is possible you add some ini config or another thing to change the requeriments for craft, please?
As I discorvered this bug happens from months, i do not think devs will fix it soon :P

@TrevorJD You have values for Hypothermic and Hyperthermic insulation in your Inventory. These should change when you go near the tower or turn it on and off.

I discovered the games crashes after i learned the skill Advanced Tools left clicked to use [SPUK] Smithy. It is some incompatible problem with the other mod: Marvelous Spyglass.

I already asked Marvelou's author to take a look, but can you do the same too, please?
I do not know if it`s Marvelous or SPUK problem.
I loved the mods and would like to use both on my server.

Any chance at a gateway for larger ships? This was something that was once available on a discontinued mod that was quite handy for putting pets away. Thanks love the mod!

Hi Harley, how can I tell if I the windtower is working? I have a crafting toon with all their points in INT, wearing minor +hypertherm cloth armour, a high level parrot and they're still dying of heat whenever a heatwave happens on our Tropical island, while the character is standing directly under the open outlet. Thanks!

ATLAS had a big patch with a long list of bug fixes. I couldn't find anything regarding beds, but maybe it was fixed without noting or it was a sideeffect of another bug. I did see somebody mentioning that they should fix the bed issues, but there was no information what issues exactly. If vanilla beds are working, I would suggest, use them for now at least on ships. If the error happens there someday let me know. I will watch out, if I find more out about bed problems.

I tested out the vanilla beds and did not encounter the same issue. I even had a game crash while transferring grids with vanilla beds, though it did not remove the boat.

To me its a game-breaker, everything else works amazing with the mod and thanks for staying up to date

Please test the vanilla beds, too. Never had reports of something like that and i really don't see why the spuk variants should cause something like that.

@Harley Quinn I had only used the SPUK beds. At times they would need to be picked up and placed back down to be used, while on boats the game would crash out and the boat would be deleted.

Just a quick question to the ones still playing. Has anybody new infos, if the windtower is still not working for breeding? I still have the info everwhere, but I am not sure, if it actually still is the case :D When I did it the animals were not effected by it.

@123 Don't know about the future, but at the moment the dev kit has massive issues, so only emergency support right now, till they fix ist.

@Titaniumhud Is this a new issue after the update or something old? Only the SPUK beds or vanilla, too? I haven't relly changed the beds, so this sounds more like a vanilla problem.

Beds are a big issue on singleplayer. Multiple boats have been deleted when trying to spawn onto them. They also do not correctly track on the main atlas map

Will there be new stuff coming next update. Would love to see a better Stone Gun port that you can snap cannon too since the AA stone GP wall does not.

There will be a fix for that after the holidays. I am afraid I will not manage to do this earlier. Christmas/New Year is a bad spot for such stuff. If I manage to do it earlier, there will be a ping over at the discord, when the update hits.

I am deeply sorry for that. Don't know what Devs where thinking to do such a stupid move right bevore the holidays.

I am having the same issue as stated below, 2 players I know of have been unable to log in since the update, it seems to have something to do with skills. OnRep_UpdateSkills() is at the top of the error report client side indicating something along the lines of what Darcwon is saying

I haven't noticed or heard of any mod issues with this mod and other mods myself, but I do know the Skill issue is present after a lot of testing, it's also been present in other mods as well on the workshop. Hopefully this helps you get it straightened out :)

Any new characters after the patch that didn't learn any skills that were using the removed skills won't have the issue because that skill will not be available for them to learn in the game without admin commands. They can still be learned but only that way.

I've gone through and future proofed all our mods to ensure that they don't use a vanilla skill as a parent and instead use PrimalEngramEntry as the direct parent of the skills I added.

Pre-requesite skills seem to just be ignored in the skill tree for the most part though so that part is something that's easier to identify and fix without a crash.

@Harley Quinn I"m one of the mod authors for Consortium Gaming Mods, I can explain the issue for you. Basically Grapeshot didn't announce this go around cleaning up any skills they had in the vanilla game, but they did delete at last a few. One of which is Weaving for certain. I have not tracked them all down though.

The easiest fix though is to re-parent your skills that are parented to vanilla skills in the devkit to PrimalEngramEntry and fix up the data on them so it matches what they had before.

Basically the server isn't resolving or removing skills that had been removed from the game if a player has them in their saved list of skills, it's sending the entire list without validating them to the client. The client then tries to resolve each skill down to PrimalEngramEntry and when it fails because of a missing Parent skill on the engram it errors out the client and they can't join.
