I dont know if y9ou are still monitoring it, but this mod is kinda good for 2 attacks then its uselss and apparently so everyone else has said the same along the same lines

So I have been playing XCOM recently and I have this mod in (To use it with Rusty's Psionics). I noticed that Wield and swipe go off while i am next to a target tho it very inconsistent(I made sure about the ammo). I am using True Primary secondaries instead of Primary Secondaries as it's require for another mod I use. Could this be the cause of the issue? The melee attacks are linked to the passive for everyone else btw. You have to be NEXT to a target for wield and not move for swipe (Yes I know its a bit weird)

I can't equip this weapon at all and let alone put it as a primary and i have all the mods need to do so. Any help on how to fix this?

Im confused on how this weapon is supposed to work....
It was good with its Wield and Swipe earlier, Now all i see is Only the Ranged shot and Overwatch, no melee option at all?

Can some1 explain how this awesome weapon supposed to work?
Or is it completely fucked? using with RPGO.

Sorry to keep you waiting. It took me too long to get over the horrible nightmare of losing my data due to ransomware.

I'm currently restoring the Glaive mod, and after years of delays, I've come up with a solution that takes into account all of your feedback.

* Added an active skill called 'Glaive Charge' (AP cost 1).
ㄴ All triggered melee attacks until the next player phase activate Swipe (ammo cost +1).
ㄴ Glaive Overwatch changed from Bladestorm attack to regular Overwatch shot.
* The above changes replace the old 'complicated' Wield and Swipe system.

I am currently using the covert infiltration mod but I also tried running this mod without covert filtration and I also had problems with the glaive not appearing both times. I somehow managed to get it to appear when I downloaded the glaive bridge mod for covert inflitration. However I still had the problem of the 1st tier not appearing. I fixed the problem by going in the files and making able them able to be built. Great mod when you can get it to work.

I'm having an issue, my glaive is not appearing on the primary weapon slot, there is anything I can do? I tried to add it to the class file, as the comments say, but it still didnt appear on the primary weapon slot.

This mod makes my game starts 8s later than usual.
Most mods may slow by 2-3s, but 8 is kind of long.
It may not be anything important, but just so you know.

If you're using this mod and can't find the glaive weapon its because its probably not equippable on any of the classes you have as there are only a few classes in the glaive config that are allowed to equip them. You can change that either by adding the class template allowed to use it in the glaive config or adding the allowed weapon in your specified class config itself.

Example 1: Adding allowed class into the glaive class data config

Click glaive mod in AML, click on config, click on drop down tab and open the class data config

[*CLASS NAME HERE* X2SoldierClassTemplate]
+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="glaive")
+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon, WeaponType="glaive")

Example 2: Same as example 1 except you just add it directly in to modded class data

+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="glaive")
+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon, WeaponType="glaive")

Love the idea of this, but how can you make a psionically compatible glowing energy weapon and not let the psionic glowing energy weapon specialists not get a hold of it?
But the sneaky snipers can?

I'm so confused why Reapers are listed as being able to use this and Templars are not. Would love to use it otherwise.

Very interesting idea. There was an ancient Chinese military general named Guan Yu who was armed with this weapon, but it was longer, and it was a long-handled broadsword.

Yeah I didn't realize I had both running at the same time. Once I disabled the old one it worked but now I can't melee with the glaives. Idk what I'm doing wrong anymore lol

Might be because it should now require the TRUE Primary Secondaries mod to allow Primary-slot usage

I don't know if it's due to conflicting mods and I don't use RPGO, but it seems like the mod no longer works like it's supposed to. The ranger class doesn't get the glaive in the primary slot but no matter what I do I also can't give the glaive to any other class through .ini edits. I've used Iridar's configuration mod and that didn't work either.

I don't really know what the problem is since the last time I used this mod it worked perfectly fine.

I have 2500 hours in xcom2. I have never experienced such a confusing weapon. I carry it around of 10 missions now. Still can't understand how it works or what it does. I don't know how it was setup before but boy it's like a mystery now.

That, 'No move to auto swipe' looks like a COWARD.
I think Glaive must be aggressively. So, manual-aim swipe is best.

So, how do I recover "swipe" to before?
Or...can you make some trigger for toggle Auto/Manual?

And...Do you know why Glaive doesn't enable [Melee attachment of Grimy's loot]?
I don't know how to make enable to Glaive.

Ive been a fan of this weapon for over a year now. The new changes are taking some getting used to, but im loving all the work youve put into it. My own personal hiccup with the Glaive is that id rather cut down the range on the shot (not cut it out, only down!) so it suits my personal playstyle a bit. How would i go about doing that for my own playthrough?

So if my soldier has a Glaive as their Primary and they shoot someone within 4 tiles, the enemy gets cut and shot at the same time? Also, does this mean you can just shoot normally with the Glaive now?
