New version?
Stallion Jul 11, 2020 @ 12:32am
You shouldn't say that something is a 'patch' without explicitly explaining what the 'patch' actually changes/does.

If it really is, then it's probably better supported than this. I put in the minimum amount of effort to get it working for 1.0, and haven't actually played since 1.1, so there's still some lingering issues with that update.
Gunseeker Jun 24, 2020 @ 11:06pm
Actually speaking of "Roads of the Rim", I just realized that it *also* is a 1.1 version of "RimRoads", so make of that what you will.
Gunseeker Jun 24, 2020 @ 11:03pm
Oh alright, thanks for clearing that up. I thought this was a patch of "Roads of the Rim" not of "RimRoads"
eagle0600  [author] Jun 24, 2020 @ 10:52pm
It makes it work at all in more recent versions of RimWorld, though not perfectly. The original mod has not been updated and does not work in 1.0 or 1.1.
Gunseeker Jun 24, 2020 @ 10:30pm
I'm a little confused on what this mod does, can you elaborate? The steam page only says that is "is a patch for RimRoads" but what does it actually patch?

Can you dumb this mod down for me? I am slightly drunk so mu brain isnt processing this... Do I create the roads? if so what are the resource reqs. as well as once i build one can i upgrade it or tear the roads down?
ArmoredAmpharos May 22, 2020 @ 3:57pm
the dirt road i am building in a mountain tile isn't showing up at all.
eagle0600  [author] Apr 11, 2020 @ 1:00am
I am not doing more than light maintenance on this mod. I am not its initial designer or creator, and I am not going to create new features or re-implement existing features.
Shark Apr 11, 2020 @ 12:21am
Do you have any intention of turning this mod into a standalone? JecsTools is really, really heavy. I was shocked to see that mod stealing 50-100 ticks. It's kinda big waste.

I'm having the "only build at night" bug. Is there a confirmed fix for this?
eagle0600  [author] Apr 5, 2020 @ 7:43pm
It's linked in "required items" on the right.
HotdogMoisturiser Apr 5, 2020 @ 7:16pm
Cant find Jec's tools 1.1 version so cant get this mod to work
IronWalnut Mar 28, 2020 @ 8:34am
I posted what I think is a fix for the "building at night" problem in the Bug Reports discussion, but I'm not sure if that fix actually works.
Aco Mar 28, 2020 @ 5:19am
Thanks
SoakieCat Mar 24, 2020 @ 9:55pm
I wish original mod creators were faster with updating theirs mod tho, I hate subscribing to other peoples (hotfix)
SoakieCat Mar 24, 2020 @ 9:54pm
I'm pretty sure Jecrell's version didn't make them build it at night, that is a 1.1 version thing for fuck knows what reason
Bitten Apple Mar 17, 2020 @ 8:37pm
Can you please ask the Jecrell why does they build road at night?
eagle0600  [author] Mar 12, 2020 @ 1:58pm
I've created a bug reporting discussion. Please post an error log there and any other information that may be relevant, including your mod list.
ReZpawner Mar 12, 2020 @ 1:39am
Yeah, this mod is a bust. Doesn't actually build any roads.
ReZpawner Mar 12, 2020 @ 1:32am
So, I try to build a highway, but it just takes the resources, opens the progress bar, finishes it, says "a road segment has been completed" and then nothing. No road is being built.Movement difficulty remains the same on the icesheet. 3.5, and no roads at all are shown visually.
White Rabbit Mar 10, 2020 @ 8:51pm
good mod thanks eagle0600 :HappyPCGuest:
eagle0600  [author] Mar 10, 2020 @ 4:12am
I don't know Jecrell wrote the code, I only updated it so it would work for 1.1.
Bitten Apple Mar 10, 2020 @ 3:32am
Thanks to your effort, but why does they build road at night?:steamsad:
eagle0600  [author] Mar 5, 2020 @ 5:00am
You can, but since the system itself is new, it's incompatible with some versions of 1.0 that are still in user.
Tellik Mar 5, 2020 @ 4:05am
Isn't it with the new mod system Rimworld has that you can maintain multiple versions in the same mod? Something about just having a file/folder structure so that the game can identify which version is required and loads that, ignoring the wrong version. Might make version control a bit easier than managing multiple versions of the same mod.

you are a good man
Nikus Mλnn Mar 3, 2020 @ 12:25am
Thank you!
eagle0600  [author] Mar 2, 2020 @ 1:56pm
Done. The Nexus download is in place, both for the most up-to-date and the older version.
eagle0600  [author] Mar 2, 2020 @ 1:34pm
Okay, incoming revert, backup, and re-upload. This is going to be a little bit disruptive to those who already have the new version installed, so I'll try to make it quick.
Nikus Mλnn Mar 2, 2020 @ 11:09am
yes, that would be great
eagle0600  [author] Mar 1, 2020 @ 1:29pm
It will probably only work with 1.1. I don't entirely know what I'm going to do about 1.0, because I'm bad at version control and even if I had the old version, RimWorld won't let me upload old-style mods to the workshop (without a packageId) unless I revert my own copy to 1.0. I could possibly distribute them via another website, such as the Nexus, and provide links. Let me know what you guys think.
Nikus Mλnn Mar 1, 2020 @ 7:12am
does this work with 1.0 now or just 1.1?
Python User Mar 1, 2020 @ 5:48am
I understand. Thanks for your effort anyway
Lord Asriel Aug 11, 2019 @ 10:52am
I think you should actually rename this and remove "hotfix". As an actual case of a user who was trying to figure out how to use this, "hotfix" made me think it needs the previous one. Also, include the original image because a missing one leads someone to believe it is broken.
eagle0600  [author] Jan 16, 2019 @ 6:56pm
This mod made the minimal changes to RimRoads required to simply function in 1.0. I am not intending to take over development of RimRoads, simply to make sure it works as-is.
jessefjxm Jan 16, 2019 @ 6:07pm
Good job! But as a new mod called Road of the Rims also take Jercell's work, I really hope you can join that mod and push it further.
