I found out that the Colony Deed doesn't recognise the protectorate hatch and doors as actual doors and refuses to spawn tenants
Million Sep 29, 2024 @ 1:42pm
Why would you not add any pictures of the actual ship to the page!!!
Humm-Bird Aug 12, 2024 @ 9:00am
Can we get a map of the ship on the workshop page?
Rivet Apr 7, 2023 @ 9:54am
Also ended up making a fixed version of this ship Here , and a fixed version of the ship walls/parts Here!
Rivet Apr 7, 2023 @ 8:37am
Hey, just for anyone interested, I put together a patch for Fragments of Ruin (mostly just for me) then realised I should probably put it on the workshop!
Link!
Darth Kathn Dec 4, 2022 @ 8:43am
hey can you make it work with the Reilith race mod?
Cola Nov 21, 2021 @ 7:32pm
I swear there was an unlocker mod for Felin at some point - what happened to it?
Dr_Shadox Aug 24, 2021 @ 3:06pm
no pictures ?
FluffyXai Feb 26, 2020 @ 10:00am
Oh no my fuel hatch has turned into a red void of evil! https://gyazo.com/68510a07a6c2b32dc7b5c7ab44794d7c
Immirik  [author] Jan 24, 2020 @ 6:59am
Sure thing! Will do an unlocker for them when I'm able to ^^
astarion's juice box Jan 18, 2020 @ 1:13am
Could you perhaps patch this to be available for Fragments of Ruin?
FluffyXai Jan 12, 2020 @ 5:09pm
Thank you for hard work Immirik!
HLFlare Jan 1, 2020 @ 5:19pm
I love you. :winter2019happybulb:

UPDATE: So, this mod had a few issues in it, and I finally got around fixing. Mainly:

- There's now patches for unlocking the ship for different species: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1954715280 . Currently supports vanilla species, Avali, Felin and Lamia, but more can be added by request eventually.

- A conflict with Frackin' Universe objects (namely, storage locker and fuel hatch) was fixed. HOWEVER, that required me to create new versions of those two objects with unique internal names. I have changed the original ones to indicate that if you have these objects in your world, it's hightly recommended that you throw them away as soon as possible and spawn the new version, since the old ones will be deleted at a later update. The admin commands are:

/spawnitem imm_protectoratestoragelocker
/spawnitem imm_protectoratefuelhatch

I hope this deals with most of the problems there've been with this mod, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Maybe this would be good for Artificial Intelligence Race as well.
Just think that one needs either a HoloShip or this.

But Fantastic ship! <3
Xean Sep 4, 2019 @ 7:30pm
Is it possible to get this to play nice with human protectorate ship? If not, what protectorate ship mods DOES it work with?
Harstargri Aug 19, 2019 @ 7:44pm
Tried everything, doesn't work for me. Maybe it isn't supposed to work for human Protectorate Ship? In the description Argonian is mentioned.
FluffyXai Jul 27, 2019 @ 6:43am
@Immirik I'll try it tonight. Though if it doesn't work I can always take the ships folder and just replace the one in the lamia folder since I have that manually downloaded now
MegaMato Jul 26, 2019 @ 10:01pm
I can't express enough how much I appreciate that you are interested in helping with this mystery. I am very impressed with your work with the Better Ships series.
MegaMato Jul 26, 2019 @ 9:59pm
I'll post all the info I have soon. I'm really sick and I can't think. I tried unpacking the Ruin race assets and that still didn't work. I have triple checked that the reference name is fragmentedruin and it has no underscores or something else. My config.patch file is the same as the one in the instructions including the priority - 1000. But with fragmentedruin swapped in. Maybe it needs to be alphabetical and fragment needs to be above human.
Immirik  [author] Jul 26, 2019 @ 5:58pm
@Caljar22 - oh wait, it's the fragmented ruin, right? mmmmm... could you show me the contents of your universe_server.config.patch file?
Immirik  [author] Jul 26, 2019 @ 5:57pm
@Xai - Ah! Try making a folder there, and put them inside it. You can call it whatever you'd like, as long as they're inside that folder, it should start working ^^

@caljar22 - Mmmmm what custom race? if it's working for vanilla but not for them, it seems like it could be a path problem. Maybe said race has an internal name or path different from normal
MegaMato Jul 26, 2019 @ 4:24pm
It didn't work for me either. It is embarrassing how hard this is for me. It works for the vanilla races but not the custom ones.
FluffyXai Jul 26, 2019 @ 11:36am
Oh no it didn't work! I don't know if I did it right. I put the "ships" folder and metadate file straight into the mods directory but is that right? https://gyazo.com/3c9dfee738c338054d0856071827ad2f
Immirik  [author] Jul 26, 2019 @ 7:13am
Absolutely! I think I'll make a generic version soon as I try to figure out what might be going wrong, because it seems this second method is surefire as long as the file names match (in the case of the fragmented ruin, it's as simple as changing every mention of "human" or "lamia" into "fragmentedruin", but a few modded races work a bit different. I'll try laying it out as best as possible)
MegaMato Jul 26, 2019 @ 1:28am
Can I rename the files to make it work for Fragmented Ruin? I've been going crazy trying to figure this out.
Immirik  [author] Jul 25, 2019 @ 5:57pm
Try this: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ue77nk8yzeia5j8/AAC75S6oDlO7T0orq4N3PLuHa?dl=0
Download, extract, and put this folder in the Starbound/mods folder. This should enable the ship for the Lamia ^^
Immirik  [author] Jul 25, 2019 @ 5:39pm
Mmmmmmm... well, theoretically, but even if you didn't, the ship images should appear in some way, so it's probably not that problem... idk why my stuff hasn't been working ><"
FluffyXai Jul 25, 2019 @ 3:47pm
@Immirik
Do I have to go onto the planet and delete the ship file or something?
FluffyXai Jul 23, 2019 @ 5:39pm
@Immirik
It didn't work DX
I also tried removing the lamia race mod from my steam subscriptions and instead used the version in the mods folder
FluffyXai Jul 21, 2019 @ 11:39am
@Immirik I will give that a try. Sorry for the late response
Ultimuh Jul 21, 2019 @ 11:27am
Yeah, I didn't test with the other vanilla traces, so it will probably be a good idea to include a fix for those as well, just in case.
Immirik  [author] Jul 21, 2019 @ 11:25am
Glad it worked ^^
Yeah, was thinking about that just now. It's unfortunate the problem itself couldn't be found :( but at least now there's a quick fix available for humans.
Ultimuh Jul 21, 2019 @ 1:23am
Well, it works ans intended now.
That was quite the ordeal.
Edit: Maybe you should put that up somewhere, to make it easier for people to get?
Immirik  [author] Jul 20, 2019 @ 12:53pm
Ok, I'm out of ideas, unfortunately...
As an improvised fix, try downloading this: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3z0n2znadkt3b99/AACbA4Fem4UUiGRcUgwcf_Aca?dl=0

then put that "ships" folder in the Protectorate Ship Enabler folder you created. This should enable it for the human, if it doesn't, then I'm gonna be really bamboozled ><

Hope it helps!
Immirik  [author] Jul 18, 2019 @ 5:16pm
Mmmm no relevant errors, no mods that jump to the eye that would conflict and could be loading afterwards... Ok, try changing the "metadata" file contents with this:

{

"version" : "1.0",
"author" : "You",
"tags" : "Ships",
"description" : "Custom unlocking for the protectorate ship.",
"name" : "Better Ships - Protectorate Ship Unlocker",
"friendlyName" : "BetterShipsProtectorateUnlock",
"includes" : ["BetterShipsProtectorate", "FrackinUniverse", "BetterShipsWalls"],
"priority" : -1000

}

Idk if it'll do much, but try that, then post the starbound.log file after that.
Ultimuh Jul 18, 2019 @ 3:52pm
Just tested without that mod, still vanilla ships.
Ultimuh Jul 18, 2019 @ 3:41pm
I just realized something.. Do you think this mod might be the culprit?
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=849971477
I have a suspicion since I just realized that it repairs the ship you have at start.
Ultimuh Jul 18, 2019 @ 3:39pm
Immirik  [author] Jul 18, 2019 @ 2:37pm
Mmmmm, that'd be unlikely. Because as much as the regular ships change, it doesn't matter since the path for the "universe_server.config" file effectively redirects it to the protectorate ship folder :/

As a last-ditch effort lemme ask you to post the contents of your "starbound.log" file. Maybe I'll figure out what's wrong if there's an error message there, or if something about the load order seems wrong.
Ultimuh Jul 18, 2019 @ 1:50pm
1) Yes 2) As far as I can see, yes. 3) All tiers are just the plain old vanilla Human ships.
I have but one suspicion.. Do you think the regular Better Ships mod could be doing things?
Immirik  [author] Jul 18, 2019 @ 1:24pm
I'm also at a loss, unfortunately... Just for a shotgun approach:
- Both that file and "metadata" (named that, without a file extension) are the only things in their folder, created in the Starbound/mods folder, right?
- You have all the other mods required for this one - Better Ships - Walls, Better Ships - Protectorate Walls, Protectorate Themed Blocks, and Better Ships - Things, right?
- Can you go to a new character and do the commands /admin /spawnitem shipT3 /spawnitem shipT4 /spawnitem shipT5 [...] to check if all tiers of the ship are affected?
Ultimuh Jul 18, 2019 @ 12:51am
Well, then I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
Immirik  [author] Jul 18, 2019 @ 12:50am
Ah, yes ^^ should be exactly "universe_server.config.patch"!
Ultimuh Jul 18, 2019 @ 12:34am
Wait.. Is tit supposed to be called universe_server.config.patch as your guide says?
Or do i leave the "server" part out completely?
Ultimuh Jul 18, 2019 @ 12:33am
Immirik  [author] Jul 17, 2019 @ 11:34pm
Mmmmm if anything, I was having some problems -because- of FU ^^;

just to make it absolutely sure, could you paste the contents of the universe.config.patch file so I can check it?
Ultimuh Jul 17, 2019 @ 11:12pm
Could it be because I'm not using FU?
Ultimuh Jul 17, 2019 @ 10:34pm
Did as you said but.. It didn't seem to help for some reason.
Am I doing something wrong here?
