how i can get this mod
Alej  [author] Nov 26, 2016 @ 2:40am
@DRagoneerX: You understood it well, speed is locked by the scenario, if i set it to normal game length then you are locked to normal. You can change it yourself via Worldbuilder, sorry about this, that's not my fault. I should be 4 version of each map with every settings covered but i'm lazy. (and i don't have a PC anymore....)
DragoneerX Oct 27, 2016 @ 6:11am
Started the scenario for asia as Japan, and changed the game length from Epic (default) to Marathon during the game set up, but as it was loading it switched back to Epic, when I noticed, I killede that game, and tried to set it up again, only for it to occur a second time.

I was wondering if this is a bug, or if that's just the only way it can be done when using the scenario option to get true start locations.

Far from explored the whole map yet, but I quite like it. It's been a pain to find a good japan/asia map that isn't too big, or too small.

Seems really strange. Anyone having the same problem? Seems to work right now.
Freddie Queen Nov 10, 2015 @ 12:00pm
hey, your maps dont show up in my list. I have enabled the mod and deleted the cache, but nothing seems to work. Any thoughts?
Dennis[DK] Nov 4, 2015 @ 9:21am
OK, thanks
Alej  [author] Nov 3, 2015 @ 10:02am
@Dennis[DK] you can change that in WorldBuilder, it's easy.
@JP Yeah go ahead
Dennis[DK] Oct 25, 2015 @ 7:57am
I would love if it was possible to choose an other difficulty or game speed, in stead of the locked/fixed choices as it is now.
Chairman Meow (JP) Sep 20, 2015 @ 2:46am
@Alej.

Could I please use your maps to make scenario's to upload to the workshop. Credit will be given to you for the base map

Thanks. Jordan
Alej  [author] Aug 30, 2015 @ 6:39am
Thanks to all of you. I won't support this mod anymore in the future. My next project might interest you though. :p
caramelb Aug 29, 2015 @ 2:52am
There are several restrictions on settlers, i.e. no forming cities on jungle/marsh/desert. And there is no limit on how close cities can be.
cage2004 Aug 13, 2015 @ 3:56am
Great work! But how can I change game speed? Is it possible?
Dittersdorff Sep 4, 2014 @ 9:02am
can you add an earth world map in small size? for those that don't want to wait 30 seconds per turn after industrial age? thanks!
Skelmer Jun 20, 2014 @ 3:28pm
load as a mod for custom starting locations
TommeCheese Jun 10, 2014 @ 11:32pm
I selected "load scenario" before starting game and it still randomized start locations...?
jpinard May 7, 2014 @ 3:38pm
Is there a way to use the super huge map for randomly generated maps?
Krajzen Feb 17, 2014 @ 5:12am
(I mean, I am using them only for myself but I am wondering if I could release modified maps on steam workshop IN THE FUTURE. They are based on your work, as I found your TSL maps as the best ones ;) but have heavily modified terrain, resources and TSL civs)
Krajzen Feb 17, 2014 @ 5:11am
Hi Alej, I am heavily modifying your maps for my personal & private use but I have one 'copyright' question - could I release those maps on my own, obviously with mentioning you and your original modpack? ;)
CGreen34 Feb 16, 2014 @ 8:26am
Ahhh I don't have Babylon...that is why!
CGreen34 Feb 16, 2014 @ 8:23am
So, I really like the maps, but I have a problem with the Africa map/scenario. Player 10 starts our right next to Assyria and there is no set Civ AS player 10. I tried to edit this in the SDK by moving the start location to Ankara's true location (and added the Ottomans), but each time I save the scenario and attempt to play there are no barbarians! Could you fix the starting location of player 10 on the Africa map (and add either the Ottomans or Spain perhaps), or is there a way to edit it properly myself. Thanks for the great maps though!
Gothic Hell Boy Dec 19, 2013 @ 9:14am
What about Rome in Europe?
Alej  [author] Nov 18, 2013 @ 2:18am
Yes, sorry i'll not support that map and any 60*60 map anymore.
I'm focusing on those regional 80*80 maps and the Earth ones. :)
I understand it could be disappointing.
Gink Nov 15, 2013 @ 9:35am
Nice maps! Is the Indian Ocean map gone though???
Alej  [author] Nov 2, 2013 @ 11:41am
Big update. I feel you'll love it.
DanuelManuel Sep 25, 2013 @ 6:06pm
Hey your map is really fun and is very unique, * I love your africa map, I love playing as morocco and doing a reconquista of spain and having to fight off the songhai and zulu hordes.* But my only problem is that the pace can only be standard, I hope that maybe in the future, you could add in epic and marathon, but overall, great mod!
bayoubank Sep 25, 2013 @ 4:43am
The Africa map is great to play, keep up the good work.

-Ores (Gold Rush anyone?)
-Whales
-Fish
-Maybe Pearls

Geography:

-(Duh) Alaska
-Aluetian Islands
-Parts of Canada
-And a chunk of Siberia

Europe is so great! Not too small, not too big. AI build cities in real place, in renaissance centre of continent is occupied. You should add only few changes:
-add Bug river in Poland
-extend the flow of the Odra river
-Move Warsaw to one hex down
-Move Stambul to Ankara place and Constantinople to real place
-Make version without Denmark, Celts and Netherlands

Please, release new version of Europe! Thanks in advance!

Can you create a download link for mac users?
Dark Star Aug 31, 2013 @ 5:12pm
i wish it were possible to combine all of these together for one properly grand scale map, like 700x300. maps get way too crowded way too fast, and it unbalances the entire game. good effort though.
Rabs Warren Aug 29, 2013 @ 11:56am
Yeah I'm having the same problems as elutske...Want to play these maps but whats the point on standard...
Alej  [author] Aug 23, 2013 @ 2:43am
No. I'm not the one to blame. :)
elutske Aug 22, 2013 @ 7:49am
For some reason, when I play your maps with the scenario loaded, it always is standard speed. Even if I select Epic or Marathon in the setup screen, once the game loads it only loads as standard. Is this intentional?
Kinetic Energy Productions Aug 15, 2013 @ 9:53pm
Korea is the most accurate I have ever seen on a map in Civ. Thanks so much! It is often, unfortunately, and overlooked penn. Kamsahamnida, Chingu! Thanks, friend!
Alej  [author] Aug 14, 2013 @ 3:25am
@kingkomodo24: No problem. Huns are on the Asian map because there aren't enough civs to place in it. Furthermore Huns have asiatic roots, and probably are tied to the Xiongnu who invaded China at multiple times in the Ancient ages. But i think i'll make an exception here and add them too on the European map, even if it is already very crowded...

@ManiusPrime: Totally for gameplay reasons. Aztecs want lakes, and there is Laguna de Chapala and Mexico was a lake (Tenochtitlan was built on this lake). Then, about the lake in Montana, the problem is that it isn't in Montana, lol. In fact, i see Old Faithful being in Yellowstone (i'm not an american, i just look at google maps) and so there is Salt Lake (and Bear Lake) just at the south of it. It's a source of fresh water (and food) for the Shoshones.
Manius Julius Prime Aug 13, 2013 @ 9:05pm
America doesn't seem right with a lake near Montana. There isn't a major lake there. Also, Mexico has lakes where there shouldn't be as well. Yes, we know in real life these places have lakes, but looking at the scale of the maps. It doesn't work to through a lake in.
kingkomodo24 Aug 13, 2013 @ 8:16pm
Don't know how to edit comment. Wasn't trying to make that comment seem rude. lol. It's just that I'm a history major, and that kind of thing sticks out like a sore thumb to me. :)
kingkomodo24 Aug 13, 2013 @ 8:15pm
Hey, for more historical sense, the Huns would make more sense on the European map.
Alej  [author] Aug 2, 2013 @ 3:46am
Fix'd
Thanks for the help :)
gunnergoz Aug 1, 2013 @ 9:08pm
Just a head's up that the Europe map for the most part only has 1 iron per deposit on the map, making for a pretty strange game from Classical on... :)
Alej  [author] Aug 1, 2013 @ 9:32am
It is. :)
og binger Aug 1, 2013 @ 9:14am
I just wanted to know how you made this map, because I have one in the SDK that is almost done. I was just wondering if that's how everyone else made their maps.
Alej  [author] Aug 1, 2013 @ 12:17am
Yeah, why?
og binger Jul 31, 2013 @ 5:29pm
Did you make this with the SDK or something?
Alej  [author] Jul 29, 2013 @ 2:40pm
Hehe, thanks. I'm playing on America with the Iroquois right now, and barbarians are the annoying scumbags they should be. I'm having a lot of fun going for new areas full of barbarians to kill (after killing America btw! :D).
Byzantine Bomb Jul 29, 2013 @ 2:07pm
I'm all for some more civ variety. Kono, Khazaria, and TIbet would be awesome!
I've enjoyed your mod good, sir. Warning, playing as Indonesia ain't easy.
Damn you barbarians!
Alej  [author] Jul 29, 2013 @ 7:38am
At the end of the day, i think Firaxis should add some Asian civs like Tibet and Mandchuria. I think we won't ever see a Papuan civ (or an Aboriginee one), but we can dream. It's the same situation with the America map (even if there's a lot less blank space on it), an Inuit civ and/or another Native american one would have been cool. In Africa, we would all love Kongo, Touareg and maybe a Boer one.
Alej  [author] Jul 29, 2013 @ 7:37am
@deka295: copy-paste on your navigator: http://www.pic-upload.de/view-15640085/CivilizationV_DX11-2012-08-17-11-10-58-25.jpg.html
You have to launch it via the MODS section, then click on "Load Scenario" before launching the game.

@Brian JM: WOW at Japan! Who has won? I'm betting on India. What a wonderful end game situation you have. It's exactly why i make those maps.
And yeah, the map could have been more "western" with Persia included, etc. But in fact, it wouldn't have been better, there's too much blank space at the west of the map. And i think there's already alot of emptiness on the map.
