Sorry to keep you all waiting so long. I am checking the maintenance and errors of the mod, and this mod is my first target.
-Fixed a broken TLE weapon appearance probability in the Black Market. (The overall odds should be 100, which I modified too poorly at the time)
Nice mod idea btw and yes 150 intel would be a bit more balanced.
Thank you for your work
Yes. Even if your Avenger's technology does not meet, you can equip advanced TLE weapons through the black market. And can lose it like an alien Hunter weapon- If a soldier with the weapon is left on the battlefield after KIA
I am actually reading the XCOM novel that takes place between both games, and so far nothing indicates option 1 is canon....
In regards to this mod, I am yet to see any weapons in my market. I'll keep trying it every month.
The humans use psionics and new technologies to kick ass. The Elders just don't have the same tactical minds for warfare. Although they are still self proclaimed masters of time and space. So they send a message back through time to not slow play the invasion of Earth. The humans have the genetic traits they've been looking for, and superior minds for war. Don't give XCOM a chance to mount a defense in round 2.
So you have 2 options you can mentally go with.
1) use what the developers said. 95% of the game didnt happen, the commander sucks at his job, you lost the very first base defense mission.
2) All of XCOM happened. However all they did was prevent the Elder's Plan A, and all of the best soldiers (including the psionic chosen one) were on the ship and never came back. Their plan B was an all-out counterattack while XCOM was focused on preventing the apocalypse. The Commander saved the world but lost in doing so.
pick your poison. Like i said, firaxis didn't care about making it fit, so they just wrote off the first game. They CAN fit, easily, but they didn't bother, so you have to have headcanon.
Completely wrong. The canon ending of XCOM 1 is that the aliens invaded XCOM headquaters only a few months after the war began and the commander was captured.
I understood it was a continuation, and that the victory of XCOM 1 was only a defeat on a scouting force. The full invasion came later...
I kinda had Shen Sr. give a reason for all my LW1 MEC Troopers as being part of a last-dtich "Cyber Corps Initiative" that was done alongside/derived from the SPARK program... just means the XCOM 2 MEC Troopers (and Musashi's Augments) is Lily finally getting around to what her Dad meant to do.
With this, you can gather dupes yes?
Lore-wise, at the conclusion of XCOM 1 we had laser and plasma weapons. So it makes sense that after the fall, we lost the ability to manufacture them again large scale, so some weapons survived from that time and made it to the black market.
Also seems really useful if you're playing with other mods that increase the difficulty a lot.
