This does still work from what I can tell, just keep in mind to unlock the required tech first.

The only reason I care about the removal of encourage planetary growth is because I found this mod a month or so ago. Never used it because of the annoying micro before that. Now I am sad that it is gone.

As of 2.7: "Encourage Planetary Growth decision has been removed from the game" so this is no longer necessary.
Thank you for maintaining this mod until now.

Great mod for it's micro saving convenience.

Though from both a game play mechanics balance, and semi realism; I would prefer if it was not possible to initially encourage growth without the 1k upfront investment. Imagine food aid in a famine crisis, where a truck turns up to a village of a few thousand with a single 10kg sack of grain. "Don't worry more is on the way, we got you covered" as they turn away and shrug, thinking reserves are tight.

I haven't looked at the implementation, but it would be nice if once the normal 1k is supplied, then the option to maintain growth with the 8.3 food usage per month is available at any time before it runs out.
a) Start game balance isn't effected compared to the default game mechanics
b) Convenience is still implemented

I hope that you take this a positive feedback, and merely a suggestion.

Keep up the good work!

@Ala Netra Yes, the mod is save-file compatible.

save file compatible?

Omg, you're my new God. Thanks for this mod!

Having interacted with them in the past, that's a little difficult, but I understand. Thanks for the response.
Sayle  [author] Apr 14, 2020 @ 6:30am
@Kreldin Foxclaw The mod only makes vanilla decisions permanent. It doesn't alter them. So lithoids don't get a growth edict option. Take it up with Paradox.
Kreldin Starfeather Apr 13, 2020 @ 8:40pm
Is there any chance this mod will ever work for lithoids, letting them eat extra minerals for a pop growth speed boost? They need it more than almost any other race. I read back a little and saw you disabled it for lithoids because it was consuming food, but they desperately need a mineral eating version.

I mostly asked because I couldn't find it and I'm not sure if it's the same for edicts. First time modding and I'm still trying to figure out what each bit of info means 😅
Sayle  [author] Mar 27, 2020 @ 10:11am
I mean you can look for yourself in the files. The same way all permanent modifiers get implemented.
Kane6032 Mar 27, 2020 @ 9:50am
When changing the duration from months to forever, what length value did you use in the code or did you just remove the "length = some number" from the text file?
Sayle  [author] Mar 27, 2020 @ 7:26am
@Sterling Archer it works for everybody it works for in vanilla. Assimilators not included.
