@Whyte I don't believe i've edited or revamped the NIs of Scotland. And, it probably works with Idea Variation, but if IV changes the national ideas of certain nations, it probably is *not* compatible then.

@Red Panda Not likely. I'm busy with my own matters both in my regular life and with regards to things for NIE and my other mod, Formables Extended. If someone else wants to develop a comp patch for NIE and EE, that's perfectly fine, but it isn't going to come from me.

@Red Panda I agree it would, but i don't work with the developers of EE anymore. This mod has been officially independent in terms of development since May of 2022 and just like the developers over at EE, there is no real need to make our respective mods compatible with others.

Will there be an update of the Timurid national ideas? Given the new mission tree, it becomes interesting to refrain from changing into Persia or the Mughals, so that we could make Timurids great again XD

@alexbrosto As for Bosnia, i did not touch Bosnia's NIs at all. It merely needs updating to what is the current vanilla set, which means i need to change Bosnia's old +1 Leader Without Upkeep to +10% National Manpower.

@alexbrosto I think my revamp of Kongo's NIs are actually on par with the vanilla NI set for Kongo, it just pushes in different areas. With the revamp in National Ideas Extended, Kongo loses stuff like +5% Discipline, -10% Mil Tech Cost, and -20% Land Attrition; instead i chose to focus more on quantity since that is what i garnered from reading about Kongo's history: -20% Infantry Cost, +20% Land Forcelimit, -1% Yearly Army Tradition Decay, and +20% Manpower in Culture Group Provinces. There is all that alongside me giving a similar economic focus as the vanilla set, like the same amount of trade efficiency, exchanging +10% Provincial Trade Power for +15% Global Trade Power, and exchanging +10% Production Efficiency for +10% Tax Modifier. It is not all 1-to-1, i know that, but i do not think i underpowered Kongo at all.

The Congo Ideas are worse now then ever. What was the idea behind this?
They are pretty interessting from a Roleplay perspective but make them useless as a former actually strong Nation.
And what was the Idea behind nerfing Bosnian Ideas? They got changed to not only have Legitimacy but actually have:
- Nobility Loyalty +7.5%.
- National Manpower +11%.

Things are looking set for NIE to be updated sometime in the next 24 hours! Tried to make sure there were no errors with mission trees requiring certain national ideas from vanilla ("has_idea = national_idea_x") so i'm hoping everything goes well.

There is also an issue with the Venetian mission "Standardize Relationi". It again requires an idea in the Venetian Tree. Haven't spotted others though.

I want to clarify my last message about the French mission tree bug, the bug in the French missions should be due to a mission requiring an idea from the Revolutionary France idea set (I recall the mission is called something like "Bank of France")

@dbsadrian99 Thank you for letting me know, i'll fix them in the next NIE update! Personally not a fan of Paradox adding in requirements of unlocking a certain national idea into random mission trees because it just makes things needlessly complicated on our (the modders) part.

There are issues with the French and Venetian mission trees which require certain national ideas as its prerequisites and therefore causing crashes. It's a similar problem to Byzantium and Ming.

@MeteorJunk Picking and choosing which exact national ideas you get in each specific slot during a campaign is something beyond my capabilities, sorry. As for Latgalia, it does appear that Latgalia never had its vanilla ideas from Paradox put into NIE's files which is something that was unintended; the result is Latgalia currently gets the very basic "National Ideas" set which is terrible stats-wise.

I'll push through a quick fix that will enable Latgalia's vanilla set within NIE within the next few hours.

I like the mod but Spain and portugal can colonize 80 percent of the entire new world in a matter of a century with their colonial ideas... wish you could like, pick and choose which national ideas are injected, since some are very op while other's are utter garbage in comparison to Paradox ideas. For example, this mods Latgalia neuters the nation so badly I don't think someone would even want them as a vassal.

@Reaper Tyson That's because i had to put a very slightly edited version of the vanilla Byzantium missions into NIE. You see, one of Byzantium's missions originally has a requirement that says like "Has [insert national idea name here]" and it names a national idea from the vanilla Byzantium NIs; so if you were to mouse over the requirements of Byzantium with NIE enabled at that time, the game would crash immediately.

I solved this by just editing that mission requirement for Byzantium to not look for a specific national idea, put the file into NIE, and thus it no longer crashes and works just fine. It does mean though, that NIE is less compatible with Europa Expanded, that I can't help with.

Hey, small nit pick when playing Byzantium with Europa Expanded/Missions Expanded enabled. Their tree gets a little funky and the missions get sorted out of wack, every other nation in the mod seems to work just fine though. I know its not really your fault that it doesn't work with other mods, just thought i should let you know!

Something in the mod is reverting Korea's National ideas to the pre-Domination idea set so Korea doesn't get access to its special naval units.

Hey i've been using your mod for a while and although i do enjoy it, i do noless have a problem.
Some nations (like Adal) have this weird bug where they will have multiple national ideas all mashed into one, same thing with the mughals.
Could you pls fix this bug

@penisS The Angevin set is already revamped via taking the set i made for the Angevin tag in FE and importing that to this mod. Did you check to see that you're getting the changed national idea set for Angevin?

@dbsadrian99 I had no idea that Ming had a mission that required you hitting a certain specific National Idea from its vanilla set; Lan Xang had something like that originally and it'd crash whenever i moused over the mission. I'll rectify it in a bit, so no need to worry. I'll try to have it done by this weekend.

As for a new national idea set for Japan, i've been told repeatedly by others that it's fine as is. I certainly can revamp it, though i'd need to investigate more to see if it truly does need a revamp like how i revamped the Ashikaga national ideas.

The game crashes when playing as Ming if the cursor hovers over the "single whip law" mission. I suspect it may be due to Ming missing its national focus of the same name, as when I tried deleting the requirement for the said national focus in the mission, the game works perfectly.

Btw, Japan needs some love given the recent updates - wonder if you might make a new national idea tree for Japan?

@wolf_brother What's wrong with the mod so far? It should still be fully compatible with the latest patch, even if it says it isn't. The last update was a small bug fixing patch so nothing serious of note was changed, as far as i know at least. If NIE is broken in some way in-game, let me know so i can investigate further.
