@Brakernac : i think it does : i just had an issue with another one that touch the eocnomy Populated Cities : this one is broken and deletes all weapon shops from the holy nation

Buenaas, me encanta el concepto. Lo probé y me gustó. El único problema que encontré fue que el equipo de calidad Obra Maestra (que solo aparece en ciertas tiendas y, que yo sepa, es finito; quizá me equivoque) también lo recogen los PNJ y se pierden quién sabe dónde.

Heeey, love the concept, I've tryed it and like it. Only problem I find was that the Masterwork quality gear (that only appears in certain shops and are finite as far as I know; maybe I'm wrong) get picked up by NPCs too and get lost who knows where.

@LuigitheMan20 You typically only need to import once. You should import after installing some mods (not all require an import), and as save maintenance to prevent and fix some corruption.

I've been using this mod to build a trade empire - especially recently - but after seeing people I hired previously come back to the same spots, I gotta ask: do I gotta import the save every time I boot the save back up or is it a one and done thing?

I want to add this mod, but I wonder if it is compatible with NPCs enjoy more shopping or not, because that one with the Great Rich Men events is doing just fine for me, but an additional mod could come in handy.

@Jango I don't believe so. The OCS creator said that it "allows you to automate mod creation and query data" and "you're still limited by what the data files can do". I believe the OCS is more a tool to make other tools for modding.

Without the ability to recompile Kenshi itself I don't believe actual functions can be created or edited.

I'm aiming to make a reworked shopping economy mod, from scratch. It should be usable but won't be perfect because the wages and shopping system was never fully developed in Kenshi otherwise this mod would already work just fine.

@ourbravestboy No problem. The issue with selling weapons/armour is also that even if npcs are set to buy them, they take up a lot of inventory space and once an NPCs inventory is full they will be unable to buy anything.

The only NPCs who should really be buying weapons are travelling merchants or wanderers as they spawn in with free inventory space and the NPC despawns when they or you leave the area.

But not every town that you can buy property in has random travelling merchant spawns in their region, and most of those that do have very low spawn rates for merchants.

Reloading the game, or leaving a town till it unloads from memory and then going back does not reset or trigger NPCs' wages. Once they spend their initial wage it's gone.

As best I can tell, the min/max money stats don't do anything either. I've also learned that the AI Goals "weight" stat actually appears to be more like a "priority" stat. That is: the lower the value, the more likely they'll take the action. So with the Shopping action set to 50, they're less likely to try shopping unless they have nothing else to do. It's why bar squads with the "hang out in a bar" package rarely leave the bar to buy things or walk around town.

Ok I've done a lot of testing, and unfortunately it seems that the "wages" value only determines how much money an NPC starts with. It no longer gives daily wages, if it ever did.
This is why people in town are eventually unable to buy things from anyone including you.

If you build your own town, you'll get caravans that come through to buy things from you. When they spawn they get their initial wages so they have money to spend. This is why it seems like NPCs sometimes have money, sometimes don't, and that the shop in your own town sells things while the shop in an NPC town doesn't.

There's an error in this mod. One of the dummy items used to create AI shopping lists, "_dummyitem_robokits" is set to use the ITEM_MEDRIGGING item function instead of ITEM_ROBOTREPAIR. This means any AI set to buy skeleton repair kits of either variety is set to buy splints instead.
It's an easy fix if you just correct that value.

The mod is great. However it reverts all character names back to vanilla, breaking every mod that renames characters.

You my consider putting it First at your load order to avoid breaking names.

@A_Trashcan One of problems with these mods is that the buyers don't seem to consume many of the items, so after they buy a few things, they don't have inventory space to buy more. I don't know if that is fixable or not. The Food For Everyone mod would help that for food items I suspect. The only way to solve it, I believe is to import frequently.

Had issues with hive caravans and traders guild caravans getting looped in New Kralia and running back and forth between the watch tower and the outpost (storm house). They would never leave. Please investigate.

Anyone know why this mod seems to lose steam?

Worked perfectly when I imported the game, but after a while it seemed like everyone's money ran out and no one was buying. I literally let the game run for like 3 hours with no buys.

I saved and imported again, suddenly it was going gang busters again.

Any thoughts?

I saw this happen in shark by mercenaries and swampers, could be one of the causes of constant warfare. How did you fix it?

ive used this mod for about 700 hours and played without it i can no longer play with out this mod i love it keep up the good work the only down side is sometimes i see a character buy like the starving bandits weapon and will have three of them equipped and some times leave them with no room to buy stuff other than that i give this mod a 9/10 im usually to lazy to give feed back but this mod is worth it.

Once again, guys, you need to import your game after mod installation or start a new one.

I have different problem: after some time whole city is out of money. Does NPC restock their money or once I've cleared them out I can close my shop because Ill never be able to sell anything there again?

The mod doesnt work, i am using it and one friend mine... We didnt see any results, if someone can help me nice, but I put like 5 shops in lots of cities, none of them give me any money and i have a big variety of products to sell

Maby add a pawn option so personal stores can buy items off travelers at largly reduced prices and sell. People could run by there shops and see if they "fished" anything interesting. The bought items could then be sold at full price kinda implicatating pawn style shop.

Mod is definitely working. Maybe even too well, cause it feels like everyone in my town ready to buy whatever I put there for any price. Caravaneers and nobles basically can buy everything in shop if you're lucky.

When a squad comes to me from "Shoping tempest", they simply shout "it's time to party",and immediately they run back to the wasteland from where they came. The base is public, the gates are open. What is the problem?
