Hey Д0БР0 0М3РЛ0. Yeah I had to clean up, and this was one of the things I removed. I have changed the description. You can still just follow the guide to edit subbed things https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=620801&gonew=1#UNREAD
That should help you get you able to import it in the editor. I cannot help you if you are stuck though, as I have have not mopped for a very long time. You should join the Discord server https://discord.gg/CYGhCTp where there still is lots of modders/mappers who help each other.

Thanks. Glad you like it. Remember I did only make some of it :). How I make the upper floor I say in the Description ;). This was really not my idea either I just copied the idea from modder Edberg. :

"Do notice that to make the 2. floor of the inn work as it does, I have made a copy OF THE ENTIRE CITY and you get moved there when going to the 2. floor. I was going to use this area to make 2. floor in the other houses too and make the area mostly scenery (as you cant walk there anyway and its all for show), but I never got around to do that."

Notice that because of that a player standing outside would never see what happens inside and visa versa, as they are actually in the same area. And changes made by a player or GM inside would not be visible when walking outside, and visa versa.

If you are modding, I strongly recommend becomming a part of the Discord community. Its still going strong. Wonderful helpfull people. I dont make maps anymore though.

AMAZING THANK YOU!! Getting into modding myself. I cannot for the life of me figure out how you did the multiple floors for buildings. Specifically, I can't figure out how to do the upstairs and can't find anything online about it. Anyway, great mod!

I dont know what happens. I havde made no changes on this for over a year, actually I have not not made any maps for over a year too. I dont have the editor installed anymore. Maybe try asking in the Discord channel I send you a link to.

Hi again Tiqon, i am trying to load the mod into my already created campaign and i cant, it said that some files r broken and wont be able to load in a Multiplayer game. It's sad because i was so hiped when i saw the city map!

@Tiqon Its still one of the best town maps. Its so sad that Larian didnt make more detailed diffrent maps for this game. Hope they will not drop that feature in their future games. I like to RP here)

Yeah I know that when they add the gift bags things broke. I left the game a while ago, because of the constant stuff the broken in GM mode. And just to make it clear; I cant take much credit for this map, I added a little, but someone else made the most (its in the description ;)).

@Tiqon SORRY. It was not you. Just Larian broke their game just a little bit after gift bags update and thats why we cant play normally, but somehow when I off your mod, it give us 1 normal play. SORRY AGAIN - YOUR MOD IS COOL! We were happy playing there in your RP =)

@Tiqon I dont know why, but in my DE campagin your mod ruin some mod's maps after loading the save as well as he ruin himself. Can you fix that? I dont whats the reason for this strange error. It could appear and could not

This Map is a Perfect "First City" for a Campaign. Or a Descent Final Area for a Campaign. Yet still undecided which it should be. But you hopefully do not mind if I use this City in an Attempt to create a Solo Campaign (or for Online Coop if possible) That is NOT meant to be played via GM mode.

Its pretty easy to upgrade to DE, if you find a classic map(when no custom elements have been added to the map, and the original ones has not, as I used this method to edit it to my versions).

Use this to extract it http://larian.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=620801&gonew=1#UNREAD

Then when you have the classic version in a project state, import it into the DE version.

Try asking on the official forum or even better on the Discord server under modding. ;).

Also for some bizzare reason this did not show up as part of the other DE mods in any of the searches, so I completly missed the version when I couldn't find it and assumed it just wasn't out for DE. My pretty unlucky bad, but something odd is up though with it not showing up

Nah Nah I wasn't talking about yours. Just me and my friend not wanting to mod for the workshop DE. This is very much my favorite map, become a huge war size battlefield/seige near the end of about 2 of my GM campigns. And that was the orginal "as is" version. But even those are still just played with my private friends.

Concerning Modding etiquette; I have updated all my maps, but I think its fair game if you have tried to reach out to the original modder first. Beside... its been more than half a year since DE release.... If the original modder wanted to update, he/she probably have done it by now. mentioning the original modder is always the least one can do.

So...DE? None of the versons of this map have been updated by anyone. My friend and I are figuring out how you Update classic mods for DE. But we're not looking to be full on modders and upload them for others (Plenty of "modding etiquette" involved)

I dont believe you will get Larian to add these monster and npcs as some of them lack animations (like the goblins), but there are mods out there that add some of the missing (in GM) monster/npcs. It pretty easy to add them in a mod in the editor. Also, if they were to add them, they would have done so a looong time ago I think :). There are still other more annoing bugs to kill in GM mode atm. I think the reason they have limited the amount of npcs and monster are resources (making GM mode slow to load. You will see what I mean when you are using many mods...).

I have found out why they are there... at least the one you mentioned to start with. I tried using the map in GM mode and did not notice any npc that should not be there. I did not look that hard though.

I have used some resources from the community for my maps (I only do maps). I THOUGHT it only contained stuff to add to a map, like trees and such. The naugty NPCs comes from these resources. Why they have sneaked by my attention gets pretty DOS2 techincal, so I will spare you the explanation. I'll try to remove all of the added monsters/npcs from my mods (as they does NOT belong there). I can look for custom templates in the editor.Thanks for you the info.

I've done some testing, a few other NPCs have appeared:

In the "Other" tab (just before Exported) two or so things have appeared, with "Ds1" and "Uncategorised" categories, one lacks a model (Astarte) and one looks like a dark elvish person (Atheryon). The "Other" tab is blank in a normal, unmodified game, and unaccessible.

In "Monsters" -> "Uncategorised" there's a bonus monster - Volatile Voidling.
Two more things in Monsters: Distorted Creature - Chronicles
Guardian Sentinel - Chronicles of Divinity

I'm not sure why these have suddenly started to appear, but I've also sent a support ticket either way to DOS2 team to implement all the missing DOS2 NPCs, as I've heard they weren't added due to some power outage or so (for example Goblins are missing, however very lightweight mods that just reference them can add them easily, and the units coming from your map/mod also seem to be part of the original game, just not visible by default in the GM mode).

Ah, now I understand what you mean. That is really strange. I have never made that, and I can see its in some of my mods, but not all. And I never use it on my maps. Its a template that have somehow sneaked inside. I'm currently trying to fnd out in the modding community how it got there (we share lots of stuff). I have updated the mod. Can you have a look if Icara is still lurking around in your menu?

Icara is not a map. It's an NPC included in the mod. I sandboxed it having only Brookcity enabled, and "Icara" NPC was present. Without Brookcity, there was no "Icara" NPC available.

The only map in this mod is a map called "City". So the Icara map must come from another mod you have installed.

Hmm I found a bugged NPC added in the package with the map called "Icara". She is pretty much a master spellcaster without a model and if you press on her invisible/non-existing model and press "Manage" the game crashes. I suggest on removing this particular NPC and re-checking if some weird things aren't floating around, as it might cause issues.

I like the level of detail and the locations in the city, it's a good place for a rest after an adventure, or a mystery adventure.

Hey Azkaosa, The mod is called Brookcity, but the level (map) is called just "city". So look in you levels for a level called "City". Hope that helped :). If not please let me know. If you need some GM advice and such do join the discord channel and look for GM section. There you will find lots of people who will help you :).

sorry im super noob at this stuff. i subscribed to the map in steam and is show brookcity under mods in the game menu but when i open up gm mode and make a scene i cant find it, did i miss a step?

The packs rootfolder is "data" matching the one in your Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\Data folder, where ever you have installed that.

Well, lets put praise where praise i due, I did not do THAT much on this map. It was made by Skumleren at first, and upgraded a lot by Kruge. I just added some more because I, like you, think this map is great. (Do keep an eye on an upcoming map by https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197981314858/myworkshopfiles/?appid=435150 I know he is working on a big city map. And I know this will be great ;)).
I dont KNOW if emotes can effect the performance, but maybe they can. Adding more and more mods overall is probably adding to the effect.
That said, this map is NOT optimized as I said.

Thank you for the reply,Tiqon. Yes i do infact use mods that add emotes among other things, i had no idea emotes were so cpu intensive. I will give it a test with and without the emotes to see if there is a signifigant change. Regardless, the map is stunning and is by far my favorite map ive had the honor of playing on, thank you for all your hard work !

I think maybe the lag comes from my solution with two copies of the city, that was not fully done. It would be a shame I think to add the top floors or even half the city on another map as the players have to be in the same map.
This is strange as I know another modder is making a much bigger city and have added MANY npcs with no apparent lag yet. This map is probably not very optimized.
Do you use many mods? Like emote mods added to the npcs? This could have an effect also.
Regardless, I can see what I can do, but no promises, I did post it as it is, because I dont want to use more time on it. But specific things like this could happen.
Is it possible?, you ask. Sure. Its just a matter of work and compromise (remember players can only be on one map at a time). I could add the raw files to a google drive where we share other stuff. Then you or someone else could have a look.

I have a quick question, Tiqon. Feel free to answer or not. is it possible to get 2 versions of this map? A simple cut of the map, in half, one upper and one lower portion? I love the map so much and you've down outstanding work, but i cant help myself and i wanna place many NPCS in my campaign for this being the main kingdom.

However doing so generates alot of lag, even on my high end PC, likely because of the ammount of detail. So i was wondering if its possible to cut the map in half? Im not sure how to do it myself if it is possible :<

what do you mean empty? The maps are nomally not with npcs and I have not added much in the houses beside what is in https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1398507719 , just the inn and a moneylender and half a clothes shop. So not that much to be honest ;).
