I sent an email to you via your GitHub logon, but decided to post here too. This post can be deleted if you prefer.

I don't think you will mind, but I've create a custom race in Stellaris and have uploaded it to the Steam Workshop called Tholian Assembly.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2816871755

In the Steam Workshop description for it, I list you as inspiring the creation of the mod, and share links to your aaronfranke's Star Trek empires (Achievement compatible) mod collection.

https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1648311001

I don't think it should be a problem, but wanted to give you the courtesy of being notified beforehand. Thanks for listening and for creating the Star Trek empires mod collection!

@aaronfranke Cancel my last, it was due to some other mod I was using. I uninstalled all my mods, resource checked my Stellaris install via Steam, and the problem is gone.

@aaronfranke I've been using this mod in the past, but it seems to have an issue with the new Overlord (Stellaris v3.4.2) DLC. The body of the Vulcans seems distorted now. I'll try reloading the mod to see if that solves the problem.

@seandibble11 Yes, probably soon considering I have a lot of free time due to coronavirus. The last time I tried updating I ran into issues but I'll try again soon.
Dibby11 Mar 17, 2020 @ 9:34pm
Is there any chance of this being updated to 2.6?
aaronfranke  [author] Oct 23, 2019 @ 5:43pm
@Pranzarus I used this mod as a test bench to try and update my mods to Stellaris 2.4, but to this day I'm stuck being unable to get it updated. Thank you for letting me know it doesn't work for you, I knew it didn't work for me but it's good to know I'm not crazy. Since I'm not planning on retrying updating it anytime soon I reverted it, so it should work just as well as the Romulan/Klingon mods now.
Pranzarus Oct 23, 2019 @ 4:53pm
The Romulan and Klingon mods you made work fine for me, but for some reason this one won't show up on the list. Any ideas?
Enlonwhite Dec 11, 2018 @ 11:30pm
With the new changes in this 2.3 update, your vulcans are looking a bit more vulcan then mine, so I have changed mine to be like 90% yours.
Enlonwhite Dec 11, 2018 @ 6:16pm
Inward perfection is a civic that basicily makes you pro Isolationist. But you have to be xenophobic and pacifist to get that. ( AND you cannot remove it now after game start...goodbye my fallen empire build).
aaronfranke  [author] Dec 11, 2018 @ 5:28pm
The Gamma Quadrant's Changeling Dominion has been known to uplift species (Vorta and Jem Hadar) but they're not Xenophile. They're Authoritarian Materialist Militarist.

Xindi were afraid of Humans but they co-exist as 5 species on one planet, they're likely Xenophile because of the exposure effect, but I doubt they could easily be modeled in Stellaris without heavy modding.

Denobulans would be Fanatic Xenophile but they are not at all fleshed out in Star Trek. The only ones we ever see are Dr. Phlox and his wives. We have no clue how their government or other traits or anything else is. Similarly, Ocampa and Talaxians only have one member we ever see (and Ocampans are extinct AFAWK).

Trills could be Xenophile, they're somewhat fleshed out, but still only one common character (Dax).
aaronfranke  [author] Dec 11, 2018 @ 5:28pm
Cardassians are definitely Xenophobe Authoritarian.

Ferengi are Xenophobe and Pacifist. Perhaps Megacorp is best for them.

Breen are the "mysterious" isolationist race, definitely Xenophobe, I don't think that Stellaris allows modeling isolationist outside of Fallen Empires.

Kazon are a copy-paste of Klingons, definitely Xenophobe. I could probably model them easily in Stellaris but it would basically be the same as Klingons, so it's not too interesting to do.
aaronfranke  [author] Dec 11, 2018 @ 5:27pm
@Sandwich Predator, the Borg are best suited as Hive Mind Gestalt Consciousness (requires Utopia DLC).

@Elonwhite Most Xenophile races near the Federation would probably join the Federation, so we don't see them fleshed out as their own race. But most of the Federation members are small, it doesn't seem they've ever fleshed out any other significant members other than Vulcans and Andorians as being advanced space empires. http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Federation_members

Possible federation candidates for being a species in Stellaris:

* Risians: Definitely Xenophile, but not a big empire or anything. Also, very similar to Humans...

* Betazoids: They look down at other races for not being telepathic but they might be xenophile. Also not a big empire AFAIK.

* Rigellians maybe, but not very fleshed out in Star Trek.

* Bajorans are also a small empire AFAIK, they might be Xenophile but they really hate Cardassians.
uuRj Dec 11, 2018 @ 3:36pm
but if you meant other than human.. maybe the Borg lol. Their mission is the same as starfleet "seek out new life and new civilizations....... and assimilate them" 😂
uuRj Dec 11, 2018 @ 3:32pm
@Enlonwhite - yeah, the Humans are def. xenophiles: "our mission is to seek out new life and new civilizaitons" - Starfleet captains
Enlonwhite Dec 5, 2018 @ 8:18am
Are there any Xenophile races then in Star Trek?
Enlonwhite Dec 5, 2018 @ 8:18am
Fair enough, I actually love the input i have seen here, helps me have a fresh view on how they would be in stellaris, I agree that materialist makes sense from there logical view, but I put that etho as they are serious more towards the being a cyborg/machine attitude, due to how stellaris goes about it.
I do agree with the Effincent Bureaucracy as a good choice, I just went a different route on representing them in stellaris then shown here.
Really might be a better choice, but higher leader levels do make them more efficent too in the long run from the bonuses on all levels, as pacifists they get more core planets too.

I guess I failed to see there, starting attitude towards humans and such. So my bad, i was only thinking of the interactions they developed over time to protecting species (as the prime directive was from what I found really inspired and influenced by them in the federation.)
So xenophile may have been a bad choice. Thanks for the input on that.
aaronfranke  [author] Dec 4, 2018 @ 10:04pm
@Elonwhite You say that you'd choose Xenophile for Vulcans, but they have said countless times in Star Trek that they can't stand how badly humans smell, they avoid interacting with aliens whenever possible, and they prefer solitude and being alone.

Why does materialist have to mean robots? I mean, it can, and in Stellaris it does, but Vulcans are incredibly logical and are materialist in every way except for having robots. I see "materialist" as "logical" and "practical".

Meritocracy is a good choice, but I'm not sure if I'd want to replace Efficient Bureaucracy.

Good point about choosing to be slow breeders on purpose. I'll update the description for that, but there's nothing to change in the mod files themselves.
Enlonwhite Dec 4, 2018 @ 4:18pm
And they choose to be slow breeders, in is not that they cant or only breed during Pon farr, they are biologically forced to do so at that time, they can breed whenever they want. At least that is what i have come to learn from further cultural understanding from my research.
but i did choose Slow breeders, and Sedentary, as the two negatives, with
traditonal and Intelligent as the positves, (left the open point for future gen application)
Enlonwhite Dec 4, 2018 @ 4:14pm
Also Oligarchic Government is totall what they have, or at least had before Joining the federation. So in total agreement there. Probably going to try making them Egaltarian, Pacafist, Xenophile next time I play tho due to your points/build.
Enlonwhite Dec 4, 2018 @ 4:11pm
Again, just trying to share my thoughts and maybe hear yours.
but i view Materialist etho as serious ROBO fans/want to be robotic, and Vulcans just do not strike me as such at all.
Also if you really look at it they only joined the Federation out of need/it was a good thing to do.
But mostly out of need due to events that took place. Which is odd, as several other major races do simliar things with allying with the Federation due to major events. (moons blowing up.....)
something seems like its pushing for a Federation to grow....something....seems so odd about how it all works out.
Enlonwhite Dec 4, 2018 @ 4:08pm
I choose Meritocracy for there Equal rights of the people by talent and ability, not from social station or past. (since i did not make them Egaltarians)

I also did Functional Architecture, which made sense
(we both probably had a simliar line of thought as to why.)

I really did want Academic Prilivege or Utopian living standards, so been tempted to change them to either etho to get it. but currently liking a government as F-Xenophile.
Enlonwhite Dec 4, 2018 @ 4:03pm
I do love your take on Vulcans in a way, however I made them also on my game, with NO mods.
-I disagree with Materialist, As much as they view logic, and use it, they are not machine focused.
(hence the intellegent race trait, as a government they are not pro machine synthetic race)

-But they are not religious focused either, in fact I believe that Traditionalist race trait expresses those religious traditional belief's (by essence the UNITY).

-Pacifist is totally them tho, dont know about Fanatic on it, but it is them. They avoid war and only do so when needed, or no choice.
== I choose Fanatic Xenophile, as i have too many governments with Egalitarian in my lists, but choosing egalitarian, and Xenophile whould of been my two other picks.
(I just wanted a Fanatic Xenopile faction.)
