update please
WordByrd Sep 24, 2020 @ 2:12am
thanks for the reply! that cleared things up
dninemfive  [author] Sep 23, 2020 @ 1:03pm
@WordByrd Sorry for the long delay - I must've missed this comment. This mod is included with EPOE Forked; you don't need it on its own.
WordByrd Jul 19, 2020 @ 5:49am
from reading the descriptions and comments, it sounds like this mod works just fine for 1.1 as long as the EPOE forked version is used, but my game still flags it as being made for an incorrect version. so just to confirm, this works fine with 1.1 when using EPOE forked?
Syroth May 28, 2020 @ 11:50pm
Odd, i used it constantly no issue, couple hundred mods. Fair enough tho
dninemfive  [author] Mar 10, 2020 @ 9:27am
@Syroth EPOE Forked was created before 1.1 came out because the author of the original had disappeared and the internal code created a ton of incompatibilities for no reason.
Syroth Mar 10, 2020 @ 5:05am
+1 for original. Dunno why everyone wanted to fork it so quick. learn patience.
dninemfive  [author] Feb 28, 2020 @ 11:39pm
@ZJK No, and it won't be. Use the forked version.
ZJK Feb 28, 2020 @ 11:37pm
The original EPOE has been updated to 1.1 This mod is up to date with that one?
dninemfive  [author] Dec 23, 2019 @ 11:41am
@Aurani Feel free to include this mod in yours, with credit, and make whatever changes you want. I'm actually working on an EPOE fork as well.
Aurani Dec 23, 2019 @ 2:05am
A friend and I are currently making a fixed version of EPOE to fix the efficiency of those parts, that way your mod would be in-line with a proper version.
dninemfive  [author] Dec 23, 2019 @ 2:00am
@Aurani I know this is incorrect; I intentionally tried to keep them consistent with EPOE.
Aurani Dec 23, 2019 @ 1:41am
Hello, I want to point out that you shouldn't add manipulation bonuses for fingers and toes, modify the "partEfficiency" to be 1.15 for both instead, the way Ykara made their prosthetics in EPOE also uses this incorrect method.
Bob Calistan Oct 24, 2019 @ 6:24pm
Yeah, I researched both Tissue printer and Brain surgery and the option to mend brain scars doesn't seem to be there anymore. Guess I'll have brain dead colonists yet. All I can think is that the main mod might've added it back at some point and got rid of that feature.
TheSpookiestSkeleton Sep 28, 2019 @ 1:05pm
I think prosthetic fingers could work because you could use the other hand to adjust them to grip things, not very quick to do but still possible
dninemfive  [author] Jul 22, 2019 @ 8:49am
@RyansPlace I've noticed that, but I get the problem with EPOE too. I'll look into it.
RyansPlace Jul 22, 2019 @ 7:38am
Think this is a bug..

Attempts to heal gunshot wounds (scars on human) results in 'need material' message.

Healing a gunshot requires 1x glitterworld medicine and 1x synthetic skin. I have an abundance of each in unrestricted stockpiles. I'm not running conflicting mods and this mod is my only EPOE expansion/patch.
dninemfive  [author] Jun 4, 2019 @ 10:49am
@__ I never disabled that, so you should be able to. Are they humans or from a race mod?
__ Jun 4, 2019 @ 10:21am
Two of my pawns have mangled brain scars but the synthetic skin doesn't give an option to fix them in the health tab. Do they still have that ability?
dninemfive  [author] May 30, 2019 @ 4:02pm
@RankLord123 Yes.
RankLord123 May 30, 2019 @ 11:30am
@dninemfive thanks. so u can pick which scar?
dninemfive  [author] May 30, 2019 @ 10:50am
@RankLord123 It's used to remove scars. You make a "Mend <injury>" bill and then the scar is removed.
RankLord123 May 30, 2019 @ 10:43am
can u explain the synthetic skin a bit more?
Blauwe vogel May 19, 2019 @ 9:24am
Your welcome (: and tnx for taking the time.
dninemfive  [author] May 19, 2019 @ 9:20am
Alright, that's interesting. I'll look into it, but I'm not sure how helpful it'll be. Thanks for reporting the issue.
Blauwe vogel May 19, 2019 @ 9:10am
As far as I can see, im having trouble with some other items from EPOE aswell, namely : simple rib and replacement radius from the simple table.
bionic toe and finger + replacement spine from the advanced table.
+ the two mentioned earlier. Other workbenches/mods don't give any trouble
Im using bionic icons mod for visuals, maybe thats interfering and im using dubs mint menus
dninemfive  [author] May 19, 2019 @ 9:00am
That's interesting. Do you have any mods which affect crafting menus? Is this problem only with items from this mod or does it also happen with other EPOE items or items in general?
Blauwe vogel May 19, 2019 @ 8:41am
no i mean the emblem in the crafting menu is an actual red cross. If i put an order for either the skin or the replacement, it takes the ingredients towards the table, then it will just watch the table for a second and do something else or reorganize the three ingredients.

I cant actually craft them, i know when something is forbidden or not...
dninemfive  [author] May 17, 2019 @ 10:06am
Sounds like you made the item forbidden. Click it and then click the red x on the UI to allow it to be used.
Blauwe vogel May 17, 2019 @ 9:30am
cant seem to craft skin and torso replacement, it takes the item to printer, watches them and then puts them on again. Also, there is a red cross instead of an icon.
Bananabob Feb 8, 2019 @ 5:53pm
ohhh i thought it was supposed to be bionic skin my bad
dninemfive  [author] Feb 7, 2019 @ 6:27pm
@Bananabob The two options are meant to be a normal and a bulk recipe iirc, but I'll check it out (it might've been readded to EPOE, for example). Also, synthetic skin doesn't give a hediff - it removes the "scar" hediff for a particular body part. You won't be able to install it on unscarred pawns.

@MadPixie :) Was this the problem you reported?
Bananabob Feb 6, 2019 @ 10:03pm
two options*
Bananabob Feb 6, 2019 @ 9:12pm
it gives me to options to make synthetic skin and both options produce the same thing and on top of that i cant install it on anyone. Its not even a givable hediff if you turn on development mode
Logiwonk Feb 3, 2019 @ 1:52pm
My 3 fingered colonists thank you.
Kelowna Feb 1, 2019 @ 7:00pm
@dninemfive Yes.
MadPixie :) Feb 1, 2019 @ 3:56am
First off, love the extension, but I can't seem to operate the synthetic skin on
dninemfive  [author] Jan 30, 2019 @ 9:07pm
@Kelowna Scyther blade issue? You mean the fact that they were removed, right?
Kelowna Jan 30, 2019 @ 8:37pm
Can you help fix the whole syther blade issue?
dninemfive  [author] Nov 25, 2018 @ 7:28am
@CasualAddict Sorry, I forgot to update the mod description. That patch was removed due to the way the game handles the method used to define where reproductive organs are craftable. As you said, they can be crafted at the fabrication bench like usual.
CasualAddict Nov 23, 2018 @ 10:46pm
EDIT* I see them at the fabrication bench now, not sure if that is this mod or not, figured its worth mentioning. **

So I have both The Birds and the Bees and EPOE, and i've had little luck finding a mod that lets me craft reproductive organs. Reading this one it says they were moved to the Bionic Workbench, but i'm not seeing it in my bills, did i perhaps miss something, or are they no longer craftable?
dninemfive  [author] Nov 8, 2018 @ 6:35pm
@Glyan If you or someone else wants to translate it, sure, but I don't speak Chinese and everyone I know who does only knows Simplified.
Side1iner Nov 8, 2018 @ 11:07am
This is a godsend. Finally, I can replace a bitten off middle toe, without needing a whole foot or leg. Thanks, dninefive!
Gliyan Nov 8, 2018 @ 7:35am
Thanks fixed it, Can add Traditional Chinese?
Kontaro Nov 6, 2018 @ 11:20pm
ok, thanks!
dninemfive  [author] Nov 6, 2018 @ 11:09pm
@Kontaro Oops. My patch accidentally added the toe recipe twice. I just fixed it, uploading now.
Kontaro Nov 6, 2018 @ 11:00pm
So, I was playing Recently, and for some reason, I noticed I could make 2 different bionic toes, but no bionic fingers/thumbs....
dninemfive  [author] Nov 6, 2018 @ 4:57pm
@ZJK Sure, I'll add it to my list alongside replacement tibias, but I have other priorities at the moment. As for mitigating dementia/alzheimers, I'll consider it, but it'd disincentivize the more interesting fixes in EPOE (that is, replacing their brain with an AI Core). I believe you can fix those diseases with a healing mechanite or, with this mod, destroying their brain and repairing it with synthetic skin (an admitted bug which remains in the mod AFAIK).
ZJK Nov 6, 2018 @ 12:52pm
Any interest in adding in a bionic pelvis and a way to midigate dementia/alzhemiers?
dninemfive  [author] Nov 5, 2018 @ 4:16pm
@Charon Looks like an error with how I modified The Birds and the Bees. I've disabled that functionality for the time being.
