BROOOOO UPDATE THIS BISSHHHHH
Ninja  [author] Mar 19, 2019 @ 3:53am
@SovietCow

Working on it in my spare time, in the process of moving house at the moment but I really want to get this done. Also added some improvements like a folding tail to allow the tail rotor to be placed higher.

Moving all the logic to the new system is taking a while :P

Can you fix it for the new update
Rickert88 Jan 14, 2019 @ 8:40am
thank you and it would be usefull

Drop the pod in the hangar, connect a fueller to the top of the pod and refuel it. As long as they dont move the magnets should be strong enough to pull up and reconnect them. You can always lower the gear to assist the process or create yourself a little pod loader machine.

Update 2.0 is underway, I can maybe include an easier system if its requested.

I may be missing something but how do i refuel the drop pods. thanks

No warnings or anything and not all 3 engines caught fire. Only the 2 on the sides
Ninja  [author] Jan 8, 2019 @ 7:01am
Solti did all three engines catch fire? Each engine is controlled by it's own PID specifically to avoid a triple engine failure. It's possible that the method I'm using to start the PIDs somehow became confused with constant stop starts...
Did you get any overspeed warnings from the Master Caution alarm before hand?
Colt Jan 7, 2019 @ 4:08am
I were just casually flying around and landing at some places but after landing at a place and taking off, My engines caught fire and just turned off.

SoltiColti what do you mean they broke? I'm currently redoing this completely to remove logic and redo with micro controllers. Could you let me know how they broke and what you were doing?

My engines broke mid air

Please rate if you like, it really does help.

Lot's of fixes all round.

Additionally added a cruise mode that uses the engine exhaust to boost your speed to more realistically match the real life speed of the MH-53.

Ton's of other little changes and tweaks.

Update
I have fixed an issue with the autopilot, it should now work correctly and land at the destination.

Fixed a bug being caused by the fuel system, specifically with the drop tanks. Took a while to sort this one.

Updated the paint job with some decals, more to come.

Almost finished work on the Master Caution system.

To do
Finalise the mission that will use this helicopter.
Finalise the weapons system and mine / sub hunting equipment (massive towed sled)
Finalise some of the logic that needs an update.

I am aware at the moment of a lack of working external refuelling. This will be fixed shortly to make it useable with the new update!

As a work around if you drop the external tanks, you can use those fuel ports to fill the internal tanks as they are piped together. You would need to ensure the selector switches for the internal and external tanks are both lit before doing this. The buttons for these are to the left of the pilot seat.

Update time.
Exterior is updated to more closely match the MH-53, as a benefit the on board fuel tanks and water landing capabilities are drastically improved.
The down side is that the game now makes you fill them before you can start so good luck!

Tons of new features, cockpit updated to more closely match the RL cockpit of this beast of a helicopter.

This is a beta release with some logic and changes left to do, most of the systems now function though but everything needs a little polish.

Please rate and let me know if you spot any issues.

New update.

Autopilot added.
Cockpit layout altered slightly to accomodate a future overhaul of the cockpit including pilot controls to match the layout given in the MH-53e pilot handbook. Look for that in the future!

Now 10% Bigger and better!

-Front landing gear is now controllable with A/D when on the ground, this is disabled when the gear is raised. This allows for some really cool looking taxing.
-Rear ramp has been completely altered to encorporate the slider tracks to make loading cargo much easier.
-Cockpit is now completely air tight with a new cockpit door, for those accidental ocean dips.
-Bouyancy of the helicopter drastically increased to keep the engines out of the water, this should allow restarts. Unsure about really high sea's, but then why are you landing a helicopter in rough sea? :P
-Reworked a lot of the logic.
-Wider and longer interior!
-New Cargo winch located very near the centre of mass, can be controlled via the co pilot seat.
-More internal fuel!

///Bug Fix///
Fixed an issue with the Turbine throttles that could cause it to max out the turbines on start or shoot it to the roof of the hangar... That was fun. Big shout out to Slimisjim for his help with that one!

Updated MH-53E Sea Dragon.

Enabled Altitude hold system. This can be set using the panel above the co-pilot.

Started work on the Master Caution system, any major error will produce a Master caution alarm accompanied by the specific alarm. The Master caution can be switched off but will auto clear once all alerts are dealt with.

Altitude warning reworked.

Start of the Bingo fuel system, total fuel of both main tanks and secondary drop tanks calculated. You can set your custom value for when you would like the alert on the overhead console.

Emergency power function. Button to enable is on cockpit back wall, will enable emergency power for upper turbine and side hatches in the event of a water ditch. Can be used to escape or possibly restart upper engine.

Put a temporary fix in place to try and combat the wonky behaviour when maxing throttle. Limited now to 180, seems to be better. Please test and let me know if there are any other bugs.

And please rate.
