reminds of other mod that would randomly generate countries on the map, but they would still have culture and religion that is common on the continent they spawn at. So Europe can have like asiasn countries, but they would be still catholic! It was so cool, Awesome mod.

zenavine Nov 9, 2018 @ 7:55pm

How can something be so wrong and yet so right at the same time? How?

>africa and middle east in Europe

accurate
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 7, 2018 @ 12:42pm
Lol thanks, I just thought they looked good there.
Trade nodes themselves were not changed; however, base production and trade centers were slightly changed. Even without end nodes, with the mod you should be able to collect a good trade income (especially if you get the extra merchants and trade power from colonies)
Kevalan Nov 7, 2018 @ 7:30am
Are the trade nodes changed at all? My biggest complaint about EU4 is that when playing out of europe, trade can't be as powerful because you have no end nodes. I really think they should find a way to dynamically change trade nodes during the game.

Lol thanks guys

I believe this should work with no DLCs. However, I personally run Conquest of Paradise and El Dorado and have experienced no issues.

What DLCs does this mod assume you have?
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 5, 2018 @ 1:21pm
Thanks haha
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 5, 2018 @ 1:21pm
Thank you for explaining that haha, I usually stay in Europe and the Near East or just colonize the Americas, so I've never really noticed lol. I wanted specific nations to be able to form in these regions though, so I made them colonial regions. It may hurt your power base since you don't directly own the provinces but I just prefer having them as actual nations forming. It is fun to convert to Vic2 and see the true character of these seemingly familiar nations, too.

Tom ♛ Nov 4, 2018 @ 5:19pm
trade companies don't "form", they are simply provinces owned by, usually, europeans that are powerhouses for moving trade goods and money from asia, to india, to africa, to europe.

historically, it's because the ottomemes blocked trade from going through the mediterranean, and so the europoors had to find other routes to get filthy rich.
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 4, 2018 @ 2:30pm
As odd as it sounds, trade usually ends up very similar to the normal game, although obviously the African trade nodes are richer
NPearce Nov 4, 2018 @ 12:30pm
Seems cool although i think the trade routes would need to be changed. Ill still give it a try. Mamlucks look fun.
_Governor_Vanskoff_ Nov 4, 2018 @ 11:35am
Lol, I'll try this
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 4, 2018 @ 11:08am
Should work fine. Try disabling DLC/other mods/ redownloading the mod.
thunderbolt Nov 4, 2018 @ 11:02am
love idea but dosn't work for me
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 4, 2018 @ 8:55am
I am terribly sorry to anyone who likes to play as the daimyos... So I found the event that controls the daimyo shogun takeover, however in the part that has the trigger for Kyoto to be the capital, there is a comment that claims Kyoto is hardcoded as being the capital, and changing that trigger would essentially screw things up, possibly causing a crash
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 4, 2018 @ 8:49am
I was considering turning them into trade companies as well, however I ultimately decided against it because a) trade companies never seem to do anything or even form in my games and b) I wanted to see how New World nations would form (I plan on converting to Vic2 after most eu4 games)
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 4, 2018 @ 8:34am
I'll see if I can fix that, that seems sufficiently game-breaking, should be easy enough to fix.
herpaderp Nov 3, 2018 @ 10:51pm
Sorry to say, but right now, Japan is completely broken if you play as a Daimyo. If you annex Ashikaga, you do not become the Shogun. Instead, the game glitches out and keeps you as a Daimyo while the rest of the Daimyos will become your daimyo vassals, but only as long as you don't load a save. Could you switch the Shogunate events to check for Ashikaga's new capital instead of Kyoto?
Tom ♛ Nov 3, 2018 @ 10:40pm
Regarding the colonial regions, maybe some of them should actually be turned into trade company regions, more specifically the Americas and Western Europe.
We Do Not Sow Nov 3, 2018 @ 9:50pm
Putin khuylo
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 3, 2018 @ 3:43pm
I'm not entirely sure off the top of my head; if it is specific province-based, probably not; if country-based, yes. And that should be true for most other events. Even if it doesn't, I have noticed in most of my test games that Italy is either unified, or conquered by the Ottomans or Hungarians.
Phern Nov 3, 2018 @ 2:22pm
Does the Shadow Kingdom event still trigger for the Italian nations?
e.viperidae Nov 3, 2018 @ 1:56pm
When is Papa Paintbrush going to get this mod
menel Nov 3, 2018 @ 12:16pm
interesting mod
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 3, 2018 @ 9:37am
As for the colonial regions, I do realize that they are quite huge haha. Manchuria, Korea, Burma, Japan, Caucasus, Anatolia, Mashriq, and Tibet are normal sized in reality, but I may break up China, Siberia, and Central Asia. My hopes however are that many different nations colonize these regions (or they may not be colonized at all in EU4's timeframe).
Concerning DLC, I just run Conquest of Paradise and El Dorado with no other mods on the latest version. I'm sorry if it isn't working... it should work without any DLC, too.
Also yes I am "wild" haha. Thanks, chief.
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 3, 2018 @ 9:37am
Also, I really wanted to put England on Madagascar, but I kept a certain scale to keep the nations somewhat balanced (although even this is off!), and with the scale they wouldn't fit on Madagascar. As such, I slightly buffed their development and gave them a fortress on their border with France, which I believe is also a river crossing (Orange/Limpopo?). However, I did place Scotland and the Irish nations on Madagascar for that purpose.
In my current England game, I have found that England's Navy is still very important when protecting them: blockading, moving troops to colonies (both to the East and West), and protecting trade in Cape. I took out France early, allying myself with Castile and Portugal to severely cripple them early on, then finish them off later.
Vladimir Putin  [author] Nov 3, 2018 @ 9:36am
Thanks for the feedback everybody!
As for the missions, I don't plan on fixing them, since most of them are still functional, just in a different way (for example, in England's, if they conquer a certain amount of land or something, they get a claim on the Bengal area, which would still make sense, since they can take out the Andean nations which are now there). Obviously, some of them are broken, and I apologize for that, I just don't think it would be worth it to replace them all and I don't have much experience with the new mission system. Maybe in the future.

Lucky Kim Nov 3, 2018 @ 8:19am
england shoul def be on madagascar so they can be an island nation protected by their navy
