Report a translation problem
Some people report issues ad others got absolutely nothing.
It's difficult to navigate through as I cannot identify a clear issue so I always have to presume it's something not being executed right. Either with conflicting mods, old remnant files, or the need of another mod manager.
I hope you figure it out :)
Do castle mods effect it? Looks super cool and I really want to use it.
Onna bugeisha versions = You can only choose 1.
Same with Samurai Elite.
Load the version you want first and then dragon guard, etc etc. :)
1.The Shogun's Samurai Elite - An elite reskin mod.
2.Armored Onna Bugeisha - TAKEDA Version - A Reskin Standalone Sub Mod
3.Armored Onna Bugeisha - An Elite Reskin Standalone Sub Mod
4.The Shogun's Samurai Elite - TAKEDA version. An Elite Reskin
5.The Dragon Guard of Watatsumi
including 2 mods for you and your friend Erica Estrelina Hill.
They were also told to choose first…. ? :
1.Shogun 2 infantry Samurai + Elite reskin [ Patch-FOS Aizu reskin]
2.All EliteInfantry size to 160+Legendary Building no need resource to build+no build limits
.... you guys give me a headache...
i couldn't find it here in workshop and googling didnt work either.
If vastator adds new units, yes, if it overwrites old ones, no.
However, if you download packfile manager and open up the mod ( follow tutorial on all this at bottom of mod description) you can easily fix this yourself by just deleting entries and saving. Thats literally it.
When you open this mod and scroll down you'll see an entry called "variantmodels" and if you open that you'll see hundreds of entries appear. For each unit in Shogun 2.
if you delete ALL of them, except the generals bodyguard, taisho, etc then that'll do what you wish.
Try it out ! You might pick up a few things yourself and begin a journey of editing / modding :)
I run a variant of this exact mod myself for campaign nigh every playthrough and I dont have any issues on this.
I playtested it thoroughly to make sure it worked fine.
I cannot quite say why you're run into issues. Best I could recommend would be to make absolutely sure there wasn't any mod of any form causing problems.
Other than that I'm afraid I'm at a loss too. It sounds like a Shingen overwrite file causing you problems. Something somehow loading over the shingen variantmodel files I've included in this mod.
But alas, I cannot say for sure naturally.
I wish you a good day. I'm afraid I cannot offer any more advice.
And sure. No problem :)
happy modding !
But outright customizing them from scratch and make new things, I can't help you there Im afraid.
I'm mostly an editor :)
Where he uploaded his mods mainly. he's still there. You can send him a message if you want permissions or such.
And I'm afraid I dont know much about foundational mesh alterations. I only ever made swaps in the files by changing names and such. Moving banners, katanas, etc around.
To give a cavalry a no-dachi I'm going to guess at only. If it was me modding it, I'd imagine I'd need a horse rider using katana cav skeleton. Once I've added that in the unit_stat data files then I'd change the weapon this rider was using No-dachi in a bottom data entry of the packfile manager (I dont recall its name atm but you can find it easily by downloading a "Scabbard" mod from on here.
Only way I'd imagine doing it properly since there is no no-dachi skeleton cav rider

What I meant was = Because these mods overlap in small ways, the one you wish to override primarily, must be loaded last.
So if you wish armored onna + my takeda mod here to work together then load onna bushi first and then takeda. Otherwise other way around.
Sorry for the mix-up. Hope that clears it up.
Also take note, if you use the armored onna bushi mod, make sure you load this mod here first...and then Armored onna after.
have fun :)
For instance, the grand overhaul Im talking about was an edited version I used. My game ran fine without any personal edits made to the overhaul.
Simple stuff such as texture chances, mesh on units. Stats editions. Etc.
Shogun 2 can be extremely case sensitive.
My primary issues that can be described as what you've run into were results of an overhaul I used to have that was extremely big, and for whatever reason unstable. The moment that I would get the campaign going, then after building an army and getting attacked at Kyoto my game would ALWAYS crash. be 100 % unable to run Kyoto map.
I dont know how. Why. Only that the grand mod overhaul was the culprit. Incredibly frustrating but I fixed it by isolating the mod as the cause.
Maybe you have an overhaul mod causing issues upon specific units being recruited.
If the issue is consistent around X turns, then its not a game problem. Gotta be a broken script. I've run into similar issues in the past myself. Ofc this isn't always easy to track down but I recommend you look at your greater mods that change campaign stuff. Recruitment info.
I doubt its anything texture related.
If your mods cause you to crash first of all isolate which one is causing it.
Determine if you've modded it further. made edits that may contain broken lines or unfinished code etc.
And then just go from there. I had to do that for so long whilst making my mods since sometimes I oversaw something prior to final release.
So dont bother with the dump file. Instead isolate which mod is causing issues and try to either remove it, or... if its a mod you've made edits to. try to double check your edits. Or... remove the mod and reinstall it, making edits again carefully.
I've run into many crashes whilst changing cavalry to 150 or so and forgetting to add 150 number to horses as well as soldiers. Insta crash right there. Stuff like that.
Or even a simply spacebar click too many on a filepath. Shogun 2 can be very case sensitive
I'm not sure why you'd run into issues otherwise.
It can be a number of reasons.
Nr 1: Steam being buggy.
Nr 2: Mod too big
Nr 3: Potential file name issues ( although not really. That only affects a mods ability to load in the launcher)
Nr 4: A buggy total war launcher.
I'd wager you're running into 1,2,4. Either or. try to check the size of your mod first. And if the mod is running into issues randomly. Bear in mind that its best to update 1 mod at a time.
Sometimes its also best to restart the modloader every single time you finish an update
Because...its a buggy piece of shit sometimes lol.
2 brand new helmets. Super unique and big. One of which is the rarest helmet in the entire game. The Shoguns Kabuto which is only earned via multiplayer rank 1 campaign ( I think its the one anyway)
1 new crest: Golden dragon crest. Very cool looking most units will have it.
Enjoy everyone. I think thats about all I can do here. The mod may be complete.
Kudos to my friend Erica. She was the one that showed me about the file containing edits I totally missed.
You can however change that by following my tutorial and playing around with stuff :)
database>unit_stats_land_tables>equipment theme you need to place a valid equipment from database>warscape_equipment_theme
Either way, the mod works. It tends to be a load-order problem for most people. Shogun 2 is very sensitive
happy modding, :)
Dont know if you can see the link but Im trying to continue someone else work hopefully completing it for my own use/taste. for now im going to look on twc again in a few days to see what can i do for this
Its done via the RBG color system which has a file for it using Packfilemanager. I for instance turned tokugawa pure gold / white color as you can see in the images as well as Takeda more Reddish / orange to match the trailer samurai.
I suggest you download a Shogun 2 Color mod and open it using Packfile manager because one of those mods has a very simple layout with a RBG color file ready to edit to your liking. Simple as.
And as for RBG color information. Its a very simple google search. TLDR: You got a total of 9 boxes that contain nunbers. Every 3 boxes contain a color field for a units armor. Outer armor, inner cloth, and minor armor features like sowing, etc.
Hope this helps :)
