The files need to be Copy (or Cut) & Pasted to the Maps Folder.

....! wait they are only in the MODS file not the Maps file. what should I do now?
kkeday  [author] Dec 11, 2019 @ 11:01am
Are they in you maps file. Sometime they do not appear in the maps folder & you have to find the map files and move them into the maps folder.

Although I subbed them and enabled in-game, maps are not shown to the game. should I restart my game?

Thank you! I didn't realize you also made Delta Huge... I have played that map a lot and love it. Thank you for sharing so much of your work! :)

These maps look amazing but I can't for the life of me find them. I subscribe to the mod but it never seems to download or install anywhere. I found Enoch's Ascent separately and am going to start playing that, but any advice you have on installing these maps would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Again Game Genie,
Also, if you get the Civ V SDK (which was free when i got it), you can edit any maps, including mine. There is a remove resources options & a randomize option. This will let you play the map privately.
kkeday  [author] May 1, 2019 @ 6:37pm
Hello Game Genie,
I made fixed resource maps to try and focus the starting locations. I like to regionalize resources on the fixed maps, which is what you have noticed & some resources are very abundant - especially in the tundra (to make it more usable). I did include randomized maps in my upload. If you see the suffix FR, it means fixed resources; if you see the Suffix RR, it means Random resources.

I tried these maps and i was SOO excited, but when i got in, there was an overabundance of resources. Like 5+ wine or sugar etc in one spot. Which doesnt seem right to me. Is this normal or should i unsubscribe and try again?

finndo-eewta do you have any other trouble shooting for the maps on windows that didn't work for me
kkeday  [author] Feb 6, 2019 @ 10:13am
Hello Finndo-eewta,
Thank You for your comments. I am not very good with the technical side of things, but I like making maps.

(it is called really advanced startup)

I love your maps, but have run into some compatibility issues (and resolved them) and just wanted to note it here for others, to be honest I did not look to see if anyone else had noted them already...

1st - when playing with the Advanced Startup Mod, your maps do not show up at all (#2 and #3 are only if you are trying to use this mod with that one)
2nd - to use the maps on Linux, you have to rename the files to all lowercase letters AND remove the spaces in them AND move them into the maps directory
3rd - to use the maps on Windows, you have to remove the spaces in them AND move them into the maps directory

the mod folder is located in your steam directory under userdata, NOT in the game's steam folder, maps are in the game directory under assets

I am loving the Greyhawk map at this time, thanks again for these great maps! I'm sorry the Adv Startup mod was not designed to work with map mods (apparently). I'll be putting a comment there as well.

I am test playing my next map. Ursula Leguin's Wizard of Earth Sea Map.
Clobby Dec 29, 2018 @ 10:50am
I appreciate the help but figured it out after some digging thank you for trying though nice to know you care so much love the maps by the way currently playing a game of one of them right now!
kkeday  [author] Dec 29, 2018 @ 9:05am
Hello Clobby,
As far as evangeleon, no. In Frank Herbert's Dune books, there is a prison planet where the only Iron is at the site of a meteor impact. My map started that way, but evolved into this map. I was also thinking of the Wormwood effect (Revelations) in placing the fallout over the glow dust. My daughter is a big Anime fan & also mentioned that this map reminded her of Evangeleon.

Clobby Dec 29, 2018 @ 4:39am
Is the map third impact a reference to evangeleon xD?
kkeday  [author] Dec 20, 2018 @ 1:44pm
Hello Squagio,
The map names are:
1) Greyhawk from Dungeons & Dragons edition one; is the large land mass without circumnavigation.
2) Triple Impact has the long impact crater from south to north & 2 smaller craters to the right.
3) Riverworld from Jose Farmers Novels has the continous waterway.
4) Enoch's Ascent has the two large contenents
5) Sploosh has the circular craters.
6) Splatter is the inverse of the Sploosh map

What are the map names?
kkeday  [author] Dec 8, 2018 @ 3:15pm
Hello 24535345...,
I remember the Yet another earth Mods, but never subscribed and never learned the acronym. Thanks for letting me know. I've never been able to get more than 22 Civs. I have seen mods with 40 Civs & 5 City States - but have not played them.
baggiest jeans in atlanta Dec 8, 2018 @ 6:49am
YNAEMP stands for yet another earth multiplayer p something , it was a big civ mod in which you could play with 22 - 40 - 63 civs etc, and its a big earth map essietnially with true start locations quite some fun its quite instensive it made Drewdurnil/Bastartgaming big from doing ai only battles on them back in 2016/2015
kkeday  [author] Dec 7, 2018 @ 10:05pm
Hello Shingo,
I like to play 3 games on each map before I publish. It helps balance it out. I am afraid I do not know what YNAEMP stands for? I am always happy to play new maps, but I have am not sure how I would test an unpublished map unless it was my own.
Shingo (vulc999) Dec 7, 2018 @ 9:13pm
Made my first map the other day; It is the approximate size of the YNAEMP Giant Earth map. I believe it's highly detailed and has good play value. However, I'm having issues making it into a working mod. Would you be interested in helping? many thanks
kkeday  [author] Dec 2, 2018 @ 11:11am
I am also working on a map of Ursula Leguin's "The Wizard of Earthsea" series.

Which of these maps is which name?
Zanoth Dec 2, 2018 @ 9:42am
Figured it out, to load maps, you have to copy them from MODS to Maps(the map files) in the Documents folder.
Zanoth Dec 2, 2018 @ 9:32am
I feel like i'm missing something simple. I can't find the maps in my selections. (Under mods, singleplayer, custom setup). I've played custom maps before (i even made a terrible one once), but it was awhile ago on a different PC.
Kanna Dec 1, 2018 @ 6:50pm
These maps Are amazing. And the Impact Maps are insanely similar to ones I had been working on in my own free time.

I was inspired because of just how uninspired the Crater Map is in base-game, yet you took the idea I had been thinking up and made it nearly perfect. Brilliantly done man :steamhappy:
kkeday  [author] Nov 14, 2018 @ 6:22pm
Hello Hastur, I really do not know. I have some mods from the Civ fanatics, which might be similar. Try one of these maps to see if it works & let me know. Thanks for you interest.
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon Nov 14, 2018 @ 12:34pm
I mean is it compatible with extra resource mods?
kkeday  [author] Nov 13, 2018 @ 4:47pm
Hello Hastur, I have not used Vox Populi, so I do not know. But I have about 100 mods & it works for me. These are just map files, so as long as the map is loaded in your map file, it should work.
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon Nov 13, 2018 @ 5:40am
Is this compatible with the extra resources from Vox Populi?
