DuckGoosebear PrairieDogLover Jul 31 @ 12:38pm
Thank you!!!

This one takes about 30 seconds to test so I'm gonna go ahead an do that and mark it updated if it works. Glad people are still enjoying it :)
@Bananabob probably abandoned, but i will say it works in 1.6 as is.
Bananabob Jul 29 @ 4:58pm
any chance for an update?
still work?
Blackrussian Apr 13 @ 7:16pm
Just Want to say thank you so much for making this mod, I know it a very niche thing, but I appreciate it so much and love it.

No worries, if you have other issues just post a comment.
Ashardalon Jun 9, 2024 @ 12:02am
anyway, ty for your time and sorry for the inconvenience !
Ashardalon Jun 9, 2024 @ 12:01am
Ok, now it is working, very odd since i does'nt remove any mods, just restart the computer after the night ?!
Maybe it was mod that wasn't updated yesterday ? Oo
#6  [author] Jun 8, 2024 @ 3:20pm
Check your loaded mods, as you can see by the comments I just checked the mod and it's working just fine. I run with over 900 mods in my normal load order and have yet to find anything that conflicts but that doesn't mean its impossible. The rotten and fresh category filters in the bills ingredient menu is a base game thing so if that is missing then a mod is doing something very naughty on their end.
Ashardalon Jun 8, 2024 @ 2:11pm
allowing fresh/rotten toggle does"nt exist in my interface... Oo ?
WaKKO151 Jun 8, 2024 @ 12:23pm
First off the mod works. Second off make sure you do the bill right. Allow all. If you have any mod that changes how bills are typed make sure you disallow fresh corpses and if you are butchering regular corpses you disallow rotten corpses. Hope this helps. Love the mod.
#6  [author] Jun 8, 2024 @ 11:37am
Just checked and it's definitely still working with my 900+ mod list. If you find out what mod is causing issues I'll look into it further.
#6  [author] Jun 8, 2024 @ 11:20am
hmm, not sure. It's still working fine for me but I don't know of any mod that would interfere either since its a really simple mod. The only way I can suggest to solve it is to start a test save and remove half your mods and test, then remove another half and test etc, till you figure out which one conflicts. If you can figure out which one it is I can look into patching it for compatibility.
Ashardalon Jun 8, 2024 @ 9:08am
i use this mod with rim of madness, and i can't order any butch of rotten nor skeleton corpses... any idea why ?
turDucken Dec 25, 2022 @ 5:31pm
Thanks i'll have a look.
WaKKO151 Oct 24, 2022 @ 5:30am
TY 4 Update. Sometimers I use Winston Waves or just set raid chance really high and make a cave where my cave people live. Filled with traps. So I build alot of crap out of bone. The ability to destroy a rotten corpse is great too.
#6  [author] Oct 24, 2022 @ 2:26am
I think it isn't in base game because there are no bones there either. But yeah it'd be a nice feature to have and pretty easy to do as well. I also just realized that I forgot to update this to 1.4 so expect that today.
WaKKO151 Oct 23, 2022 @ 8:02am
Why sin't this in the base game yet?
Angel Aug 21, 2022 @ 5:35pm
Nice mod.
I can't imagine my pawns liking to butcher a rotten corpse. I suggest adding a negative mood for doing so, similar to butchered humankind.

Update:
Quick update to add more support for Medieval Overhaul. The Butcher Rotten bill will now be available at the butcher block.
#6  [author] Jul 22, 2022 @ 4:11pm
Update:
Rebuilt the patch to include support for "Outland - Core" and to not throw misleading errors if no optional mods are found.

I tried for this update to do mod options to allow the user to choose which texture they get but that stuff made my head explode so we just get simpler fallback support.
#6  [author] Jul 5, 2022 @ 11:10pm
Glad to hear it :)
Svela Jul 5, 2022 @ 8:40pm
After a reload I noticed that the issue wasn't prevalent anymore. Guess it was an odd initial installation of the mod that just needed a reload. I've had similar issues with other mods, like with hot springs and cold springs causing severe temperature on new maps when boxed into a room until I reload the game. Probably has something to do with the ridiculous number of mods that I have installed.

In any case, I'm good now. I'm hoping it stays that way. :D
#6  [author] Jul 3, 2022 @ 9:23pm
Ok in the meantime I checked on my end and everything is working as it should so it would have to be a mod conflict that is causing that to happen.
Svela Jul 3, 2022 @ 9:10pm
I don't have anything else that touches rotten as far as I'm aware, plus there isn't an "allow rotten" option in the basic butcher bill. I'll double check my mod list, but might be a while before I message back.
#6  [author] Jul 3, 2022 @ 8:45pm
That's a new one to me. I suppose you could untick the "Allow Rotten" option in the butcher bill, if it's there. Are you using any other mods that have to do with rotten things by chance?
Svela Jul 3, 2022 @ 7:30pm
Got a weird situation where my colonists can butcher rotten corpses with the regular butcher task without the need of the "butcher rotten" task even being enabled in the butcher bench. As a result, they'll give rotten corpses the same priority as regular corpses and I'd rather this not be the case. Is there a way to fix this or a workaround aside from just making rotten corpses forbidden?
#6  [author] Jun 18, 2022 @ 12:52pm
Nope
Pervy Sage Jun 18, 2022 @ 6:16am
Do you get leather from butchering the rotten corpses?
Latex Santa Apr 2, 2022 @ 4:09am
@SheiFoxy Thank you for your work, Grim Reality is a MUST HAVE for my every single mod list.
@#6 Thanks for the mod, this will make those rotting corpses I sometimes have lying around somewhat useful now.
#6  [author] Mar 29, 2022 @ 1:42am
@Holgast: It'll work with any corpse, even dessicated.
@Delta1138: i've made a patch for it, it'll be up shortly.
Holgast Mar 28, 2022 @ 7:47pm
Does this also work with desiccated corpses? if so 👀
Crazy Jan 23, 2022 @ 9:00pm
just what i was looking for
Delta1138 Dec 2, 2021 @ 5:41am
@Sixdd could you potentially patch this to work with the Medieval Overhaul so that butchered rotten gives some of the bone resource from that mod?
Lurmey Oct 1, 2021 @ 8:23am
I never understood why we couldn't skin rotten corpses, especially if they're just recently rotten or rotten due to scaria. It's only the flesh that rots at first, the skin takes a lot longer as it's not even alive.
#6  [author] Sep 3, 2021 @ 4:16am
You can see what versions a mod is compatible with by looking at the tags to the right of the image section.
LacertineForest Sep 2, 2021 @ 6:22pm
Is this compatible with 1.3 yet?
StarlightSovereign Aug 31, 2021 @ 1:27pm
Awesome ^^ Hehe!
#6  [author] Aug 31, 2021 @ 5:47am
Glad to be of service, I use Grim Reality too btw :D
StarlightSovereign Aug 31, 2021 @ 5:17am
Hehe ^^ I might patch it in Grim Reality. I don't want to remake your mod. I just thought it'd be nice for it to have a mood debuff.
Thanks again for your work.
#6  [author] Aug 31, 2021 @ 2:00am
lol, just realized who I was talking to. But yeah, it's open permissions as far as I'm concerned.
#6  [author] Aug 31, 2021 @ 1:57am
Honestly I have no interest in adding more to this mod, as far as I'm concerned it's finished. That being said you're more than welcome to use the mod as a base to make your own if you'd like, it's not very difficult if you know a bit about code.
StarlightSovereign Aug 31, 2021 @ 12:01am
Any plan to add that? I think having to butcher a rotten corpse would make you a little ick.
#6  [author] Aug 30, 2021 @ 11:58pm
Nope
StarlightSovereign Aug 30, 2021 @ 9:43pm
Do the animal corpses give you a mood negative for butchering rotting corpse? :)
