any plans on an update? got this in my modpack for a while and its a buggy mess, its really your responsibility to get it fixed tbh, u cant be uplouding half finished mods to the workshop

I've essentially updated this for 1.1, but with a lot of improvements including Pick Up And Haul support. Actually from comparing the code, 1.0 integrated this rather completely. So my mod really just exposes and improves upon vanilla's opportunistic hauling. But I consider it a spiritual successor: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2034960453

@rasco I did intentionally decide not to as I was not confident in my ability to make it work right with both versions, and kevlou's version was already working for 1.0. Time is limited and I didn't have time to set up and test 1.0. This was an afternoon project to see if I could do it for a friend and figured others may want it as well.

With the Rimworld 1.1. update you can now support multiple mod versions within the same mod. Did you intentionally decide not to use this feature and release a 1.1 only version of this mod?

@ZzZombo, yes, but this mod is dead. As author isn't into RimWorld anymore as he didn't responded here for more since 2018, would be good if someone would take over and add new options to it, especially when it should not be used - doing doctoring job (or any which you would select in options), and to take into account hauling priority - e.g set up difference of priority levels between hauling and the job pawn is now up to - e.g. you set up difference 2 and the scenario is following: Our pawn Work priorities are Haul 4, Build 3, Train 1 - so if he goes building he would pick up stuff along the way, if he goes Training an Animal, he would do not. Just a suggestion for anybody who'd like to take over the mod :)

This mod should exclude in general all pawns who have bleeding, an untreated infection or a life-threating condition like heart attack, poor or worse movement capability, a VERY low need in rest or food, or is under the major mental break threshold, because those usually end up getting a mental break and don't finish hauling anyway while they could have finished whatever they wanted to do initially and avoid the mental break intirely. Also, an option to execute an order w/o the mod interfering, like to tend ASAP or flick that generator before batteries run low.

I dont know if its this mod or another or a known interaction with mods or whatever but do you maybe know why my pawns keep overloading there inventory with food messing up the total logistics of my colony?.

great mod idea, but causes way bigger problems in the long run

I did have something like that - the game severely slowed down. I did a few tweaks in the work preferences back and forth , saved and reloaded, no issues since then.

I've found a minor issue with While You're Up and either Prison Labour or the Call of Cthulu Mod.

I'll need to see if I can replicate it. I just built a Quarry and had prisoners working on it, and also just killed a Star Vampire corpse which I then cremated. A Moments after this happened, the game slowed to a crawl and all the colonists no longer found jobs. The debug log shows that WhileYourUp is throwing errors every tick for every colonist, with the only other reference I can see in there to be towards a Vampire. Sorry I didn't save the logs but I'll try re-adding the mod.

I've since tested removing Prison Labour (No Change) Call of Cthulu (No Change) and then removed While You're Up which has fixed the problem. Has anyone else had this?

@BladeofSharpness that's because with GiddyUp, mounting the animal is the current task for that colonist and the stockpile is considered a large detour to a colonist who's task is "mount that animal 3 metres away"
