Отличный мод, добавляет удобства и немного разгружает процесс игры. Очень рекомендую.

does your mode modify the number of armies?
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] Dec 25, 2023 @ 7:32am
Certainly.

does this affect the ai?

I don't know about this value in other total war games. I think they were looking for a balance, so that the income would not be too much or too little.
Sheph Aug 7, 2022 @ 9:57pm
Why is it set at 25% of the value you chose by CA? What were they thinking? How does this value change in other total wars?
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] Aug 7, 2022 @ 9:44pm
This is the rate of income from trade agreements
Sheph Aug 7, 2022 @ 12:33pm
I like the campaign variable change. Can you explain what that trade_route_value_combined_gdp_proportion does?

Немного логики этой игре не помешает)

What is MP?
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] Oct 21, 2018 @ 12:45pm
I don't care if my mod will be compatible with others or not. Steam Workshop, this is a competition of ideas and I do what I find interesting and logical. I don't want to adapt to other people's ideas, I create an alternative. If you think that other mods are better than mine, don't subscribe to this.
Thank you.
Sheph Oct 21, 2018 @ 11:26am
This is novice modding. Would you like me to point out hundreds of attila mods that solve this without altering this key table? All overhaul mods -Radious, FOTE, Greq, etc -- extensively revise this table. Plus most old players have their own table.s Your mod will be incompatible with all of them. I won't rate this for now.
For some ideas go here.

@Sornorth
Tell me about Sumer, it is interesting that you mention it, i don´t know much about them, but i already heard that many inventions were already there when there were the Sumerians, maybe you can show some similiraties between ancient Sumer and nowaday, would appreciate that.
David Oct 21, 2018 @ 3:03am
You should know that Sumerian culture were many litlle city reigns like ancient greece, they didn´t really had a bigger empire area like later Persia or Egypt or Rome
David Oct 21, 2018 @ 2:57am
hmm ok, didn´t know they were baptized Christians and their capital was Rome, but ok
Sornorth Oct 20, 2018 @ 6:54pm
@david

A) I can barely understand what you are saying
B) By that logic everything is really the Sumerian Empire
David Oct 20, 2018 @ 5:06am
If you can see Italy with its political and religios capital in Rome itself having no single war with European or mediterranean area today but they can trade everywhere they want to and they are able to move free nearly everywhere in Europe, don´t you let that remember the RomanCatholicEmpire in 4th century?
David Oct 20, 2018 @ 4:59am
Well, Commonwealth still exists. And i am not saying that Roman Empire still exists, just that it didn´t really fall, it transformed into many different variaties. Your parabola doesn´t work. Empires (imperia) did mean the leadership of an imperator, someone who commands everything in a defined area. In fact the Britania was a Roman part of Imperium Romanum. You can see every Empire "falling" directly by persons: Alexander the Great, Augustus Iulius Caesar, Constantine, Theodosius, Xerxes, DariusIII., Echnaton. Never someone left exactly the same reign as he herited or took over. But especially to me it is simple in case of WRE, the state´s religion became RomanCatholicChristianity, so every nowadays state with that religion can claim to have a famous procedor in ancient times, my opinion, even the lightly changed forms of catholics, like Anglicians, Protestants and so on like ancient Rome had local Usurpators too but were seen by many as legitime followers.
sangrailarian Oct 20, 2018 @ 3:44am
@David That's like saying the British Empire still exists because English is the World's most widely-used language.
David Oct 20, 2018 @ 2:08am
Roman Empire didn´t really fall, today belong 1300000000 Roman Catholics to the Church of Rome and have integrated a huge percentage of Latin vocabulary in their language and ancient Roman elements into their nowadays culture.
Many followers like Vandals, Lombards and Franks did refer to the Roman Empire, so nearly 100 years ago we still had "Caesares" in Germany, Austria and Russia.
Sonoza Oct 19, 2018 @ 2:32pm
@nofreewill Gibbons thought Christianity led to the fall of the Empire so the fact you are recommending him leads me to belive you have no idea what you are talking about.
13th Earth Stabbing Sword Ritual Oct 18, 2018 @ 4:07pm
Read Gibbon, noob! But fair enough.
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] Oct 18, 2018 @ 1:54pm
Talking about the fall of the WRE can be very long. My mod does not remove all the troubles that led to the fall of the Roman Empire. I'm just trying to find a reasonable balance, in order that the game would not to cause disgust.
13th Earth Stabbing Sword Ritual Oct 18, 2018 @ 11:16am
And yes, the romans of late antiquity didn't have time for war. But they made war anyway, at the cost of sacrificing other things.
13th Earth Stabbing Sword Ritual Oct 18, 2018 @ 11:06am
Maybe the emprie of high antiquity (pre-3rd century crisis) would be incredibly fluid and well functioning. But in late antiquity, it should probably feel pretty cumbersome and corrupt due to too much bureacracy - and largely all the bureacracy was just to stymy the politicians and keep the emperor in control. Granted, the dictatorship made decision making quick, but numbers-wise, it was clumsy. So, effectively, being constantly poor in-game is a logical consequence of that.

That was long, but it's not among the many ahistorical and lazy things CA put in the game.
13th Earth Stabbing Sword Ritual Oct 18, 2018 @ 11:06am
That is why the romans had so much trouble was because of constant politics, disease, famine and uprisings. Though I think the famine was more economical when groups like the vandals took over north africa.

Basically, the roman state was corrupted beyond saving, despite what Diocletian tried to do. It was essentially a sick man of europe, that would probably have functioned better if provinces within it could safely secede from the empire - efforts to keep the empire together did more damage than good. Citizens were slaughtered by the thousands.

Playing as teh frank gotta be a nightmare the Soisson nighmare gonna be real, gotta convert to ctaholicism sooner than I want.
Andrew Boyarsky  [author] Oct 17, 2018 @ 10:41pm
Poverty, diseases, rebellion, the constant attacks of barbarians, this is the background of late antiquity and all this is present in the game. But there is a limit to everything. During the game, I have to constantly engage in politics, sanitation, agriculture and uprisings and I don't have time for war. I just corrected it a little.
13th Earth Stabbing Sword Ritual Oct 17, 2018 @ 7:51pm
The game is designed to reflect late antiquity, rather than high antiquity. The WRE is meant to be weak and poor and hard to play. Unfortunately, this means all the tributes and bribing and everything is background and invisible.

I was thinking CA could convey the intrigues through events (which would be very simple to include, since it's just procedural pop up menus), but this is CA we're talking about.

@PhanQuan, ERE must be strong, they existed till the 15th century :)
