My animal tamers are using Meat Blend to train animals and they constantly get sick because it's marked as a "rotten food". What can I do about this besides remove the mod? Is it possible to fix it so that it's not considered rotton food or can it be removed from what animal Handlers use to train animals?

@last I checked (Dec 2023) this mod added 2-3 receipes only, (basically just one doing more at a time then the other). All of them were basically the same, with only ingredients option to change between the meat types.
So how is it too many recipes?

Also does this have a compatibility issues???? with

Cool that you added "<li>Meat_Twisted</li>" in the available meats to blend but the lack of 1.4 and 1.5 folders creates an error in 1.4 since <li>Meat_Twisted</li> does NOT exist in 1.4... Please separate your folders !

So there may be a problem. My pawns no longer cook with meat blend. It says there's no protein available.

Umm, one suggestion for how you could do it is through compatibility with mlie's bad meats category maybe? where you remove that category if that mod is present

None that change the butcher table specifically. I have cleaned up my mods and gotten down to "Better Workbench Management" is the only mod I have that remotely changes workbenches.

I have a slight problem. I added this mod and it doesn't show up. There isn't a bill for it anywhere. I tried to butcher table first of course, and nope. Nothing.

@someonesneaky - I realize that. Basically i would want the same thing as this but different graphic and name. Then I could manually select only the "seafood" on that one and omit the "seafood" on the Meat Blend.

Same problem as with the veggie mix - it uses the default <li>MeatRaw</li> tag. There's no seafood in base game. Each fishing mod uses their own names for the fish they produce, and they also give MeatRaw as their end product. So the dependency mod would have to be for a specific fishing addition, and list each and every fish product by name.

animals can't eat it
nutrient paste dispenser can't use it
people can't eat it

love the concept though. wish it were more useful.

@someonesneaky hi! I cannot directly order the colonist to eat minced meat.
Minced meat is currently not a food product. It can only be used as a cooking ingredient.
When will you fix it?

Alright, I figured out what it is. The base for Minced Meat is from a much older version of RimWorld, and still had the NeverForNutrition preference flagged. I'll get both this and Veggie Mix fixed and uploaded, but it likely won't be til tonight / tomorrow, as I've got a long work shift.

@someonesneaky , yes, all types of meat are available to them in the diet settings. But they are ready to starve to death, despite having minced meat and access to it, until you manually force them to eat it.

@Slye_Fox Rimworld is basically a giant, super complex, many-many-tabbed spreadsheet with a decent amount of formulas (game logic/AI) turning that into a bowl of spaghetti under the graphics, lol. And mods tinker with the columns, the rows, and the values in them, so it's definitely not easy.

I had fixed it myself for my own use, but FrozenSnowFox had their mod fixed within an hour or so of me posting they needed to update their compatibility patch. This modding community is pretty awesome. Also, thanks for very much for your mods!!

Well, I understand Rimworld mods a little better now. [FSF] Complex Jobs changes the name of the requiredGiverWorkType and includes a patch for your mod. But it had not been updated to include the larger meat jobs. Also, the patch for Veggie Mix is wrong too. I commented on that mod that their patches for your mods need to be updated.

Not sure when I'd be able to hop on to discuss. I can say it's none of the things you suggested, as the 5 and 20 meat blend work. The veggie blend mod works for all recipes. And I've also tried out the Pack Meat mod and its 1, 10, and 40 size recipes (all it has) all work. Whatever the problem it is, it seems specific to the Meat Blend mod but only the 50, 75, and 100 sized recipes.

Alright, I had tested each one of the recipes to make sure they work, and you should be having no troubles. So either you have something added from a mod that doesn't register as 'meat', you're trying to use human or insect meat (which isn't allowed, as has been pointed out several times), or it could be one of literally dozens of issues. This isn't something that can be fixed with 'this isn't working'.

If you can get into the RimWorld discord server, I can help you there, otherwise there's not much I can do.

@Tobi yeah, even with the new update and the new 50 and 75 recipes don't work either. Still only the 20 and 5. And that's on a new game.
