You can do that in dev mode by hot-reloading the defs. I wouldn't generally recommend that but for looking at the colours in game it could be a good option. I would still restart the game after picking all the colours that way. I also like taking a screenshot of my colour codes before I do any changes if they're not the defaults and I may want to return to them.
Please also note that I will be implementing XML extensions' colour feature soon, but I expect due to the underlying textures there will still be some trial and error.

I don't know if you're familiar with dev mode, but in case you're not:
- enable dev mode in options
- click third symbol of the dev menu at the top of the screen "open debug actions menu"
- search for hot reload defs in the window, optionally click the little pin symbol next to it
- if you pinned, you can open the dev palette (second symbol from the right) which will display all your pinned commands

while ingame, i mean, re-loading xml stuff and make those changes apply right away without
re-starting the game

Limestone Oopsie is fixed but the wee colour may be saved to the settings file so hit reset in the options or edit the colour individually and restart the game if you're affected. (The default should end in 202 instead of 20, someone did a little copy paste fail. It was me.)

Any chance the color tweaks/additional stone types could be made compatible with the floors from VFE - Architect and/or [WD] Expanded Floors?

I've been checking that all values are the same again for 1.5, this kind of thing doesn't throw log errors so I may have missed any sneaky changes before.

You can add it just fine, but pink/green marble and blue granite will only show up in new "things." They won't show up as terrain types since all tiles already have stone types assigned, but will show up as ruins on new maps, as stone items from traders etc.

I have tried to keep up with patching in the past, at this time I can't make any promises. I'm also seriously out of the loop on current mods, so I'd super appreciate the names of the mods so I don't have to search them if/when I find energy and brain power to do things.

Is there a plan to add these stone types to other common floor mods? Or are compatibility patches the communities deal?

This mod is beautiful btw. I love the color and pop the maps have now.

Floors don't technically have a material system like buildings so every one needs to be patched in individually.

So it seems like this mod's new stone types don't work alongside the floors added by the VE mods. They don't show up as options for the floor material.

I wanted to use your mod alongside the Diagonal Walls mod, but found that the Marble Textures do not mix well. Is there any chance you could add the mod option to disable specific retextures, so I can use both mods together?

so after doing some testing i have found out that the mod that was giving me problems was one named ImpassableFurniture (Continued)..................... But only on my main pc not my lap top. i have removed it and now everything works fine.

That's the way RimWorld derps sometimes. It makes no sense (like that bug with the LED lights that somehow replaced steel ore when added to an existing save).

OK, there's nothing I can find without major testing. For now I'd recommend putting stone tweaks towards the top of the mod list and unless that magically fixes it, I'll keep trying to figure it out. Btw, you have two damage indicator mods in there.

it is a new game i have started for ideology. when i saw the clipping i turned on dev mode and entombed all my pawns in different types of stone and they only clipped thru the now ones (i tried green marble and blue granite) and didn't clip thru the normal ones (i tried sandstone)

Hm, I don't see anything super obvious. Did you start a new game or add it to an existing save? If it's the latter, could you try making a quick new save to see if it happens there?

That's super weird and I have not seen that on my end! If you have a mod list or log (hugslib log works for both) that would be really helpful to try and figure out what's going on.

hi, i am having a bug where all my colonist are clipping through the new stone types add by the mod. not the normal stone just the new ones. any one her know what could be causing it?

I chose not to drastically change the colours from vanilla, but only shifted the shades to a palette that works together. So I went with a more pleasant (to my eye) shade of brown, rather than the more extreme change to red. If/When I get back into modding I guess I could make a realism edition of Stone Tweaks.
This particular mod will stay as it is, as people seem to enjoy the colours I picked. ^^

@cucumpear - Hey, hope you're enjoy life outside of modding so far :happy_creep: I'm about to retire from modding as well, but am doing one last update to my mod MoreFloors before then.

Somehow between us we've managed to get into a knot. I patch for Stone Tweaks on my side in RW 1.0, but you patch for MoreFloors on your side in 1.1 and 1.2, and in my recent update I made a slight base def naming change that breaks your patches.

Rather than have patches in both our mods depending on the RW version, could I trouble you to make a quick update and delete your patches for MoreFloors? I'll handle compatibility on my side then.

Is there any way to have a choice in which vanilla stones get changed? Have it so marble and limestone have changed, but not sandstone and granite, for example.
