Steam really, really, REALLY doesn't want to download this mod. Anyone experiencing a similar problem?

are achievments disabled with that mod?

Alright, a direct download to the specific map file has been added to the description. I'm really sorry that this is not easily setting for some of you dudes, this is pretty annoying for me too when this stuff doesn't always work out lol.

Regarding empty folders.

I've had a similar issue for eu4 where the steam workshop downloads empty folders. I reccomend adding a direct download just in case.

I got it working, but not the way you mentioned, i had to copy and paste the mod into the maps folder, delete it and then do it again a few times before civ started actually registering it.

A lot of people seem to not read the very top of the description; the mod itself won't appear in the mod folder until you actually go in game after subscribing and waiting for civ 5 to actually install the mod file from the workshop.

If there are still issues I will upload the map file somewhere else.

The map to a full extent is as large as the world builder would let me make it, a huge map in civ 5 map sizes I guess. I love playing with many civs too, man. You're not alone.

Also a new picture has been included with the mod that explains how to properly install this map and most workshop map mods in general.

How big is ths map. I like the design, but I like to play with 22 civs per game, so if it's big, I'm subscribing in a heartbeat, but otherwise, I'll probably pass. It looks cool though, so I hope it's big.

okay so i checked the issue and the .Civ5Map file is in the folder, however you guys might be slightly confused on how to install it because of how civ 5 handles installing map mods. I will try to include a simple tutorial picture within the slides easily when trying to get any civ 5 map mod in general.

The civ5map file isn't in the folder for me

@RELENT Thanks my man, doin us proud.

First launch Civ 5 and check in Mods if the map is there if not let it download. Enable it and start a game, if the map is not in the map lists close the game.
When it comes to maps (except map scripts) you need to go to the MODS folder \Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS, find the map in there and then move it to \Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Maps.
If the map won't appear in the mods list in civ 5, use the in-game steam browser to unsub and resub. If that doesn't work use a steam workshop downloader.
