1. In game make sure the toggle in the bottom right is selected.
2. Go into the interaction bubbles settings and reset them to default
3. Move Interaction bubbles further down your load order, it doesn't need to be last but lower is better (and you're probably using Speak Up so move that to below Interaction bubbles)
I also very quickly ran into certain texts that seem to be a weird length, because they get broken into two lines, but the bubble doesn't expand vertically, so the top and bottom of the text is just cut off. But then if you change the zoom it fits, so it only sometimes happens: there seems to be some weird bug with the formatting calculations.
It seems I have to take back my words slightly, as it seems it only seemingly randomly stops working for me rather rarely though. Next time I restart the game it works again, if it had stopped working. Maybe even just reloading save helps.
love the mod too! but for some reason the bubbles won´t show up anymore after some time playing.. after a reload there here with me a few minutes but thenthey won´t show up anymore again.. anyone had a similar issue?
Hey, I am also having this issue. The first time I installed it they where there, but now after second time I started the game with it they tend to disappear quite fast
Any help anyone???
I just released a new 1.5 mod that is compatible with Interaction Bubbles: RimLog . RimLog will save each chitchat messages (and other events/logs) to a time-stamped txt file on your desktop to look at offline later.
If you had any interest in pulling that capability into your mod, adding some settings to enable/disable it, and maintaining it just let me know. I just want the functionality haha... No pressure though if two separate mods seems better.
Cheers!
- Added support for single pawn interactions (such as ritual chanting)

My only suggestion would be to make interactions more relevant to whatever situation our pawns find themselves in...
Example being; chatting about weapons/ammo/wounds/etc during combat instead of muffalos and milk.
Now I have zero experience making mods so I have no idea how difficult it would be to do but I do think it would be some very tasty icing on the cake if it could be done! ^.^
I wanted to suggest something, but I'm not sure if possible... A "Do not show during combat" setting, do you think it can be done?
The reason is because I can see enemy chatting about completely random things as they fight my people, which is a bit weird, but I don't want to disable seeing messages for other factions, so It has to be specifically about combat, because:
- One might still like to see visitors, guests and caravaneers talking to each other
- Enemies do not count as "drafted" so the do not show while drafted does not work for that
- Finally, a simpler "do not show for hostile factions" wouldn't work either because I don't mind them talking while setting up siege camp/not in combat XD
BUT the options menu definitely has a rendering problem. I got it to show two times by messing around with the texture compression option, UI scsle, full screen toggle, etc. However, I could not exactly reproduce it a third time consistently. Currently the options menu does not show to me: Borderless window, 1440p, UI 1.5x, texture compression off. (I also tried disabling EVERY mod except this one and HubLibs, same issue). Hope this shed some light on the issue, an exact settings combination eludes me.
Still using it tho :) thx
I've tried adjusting the scaling, but that just changes the zoom levels where it happens.
It never used to be like this, but I'm not certain if it changed because of a mod update, or because I replaced my monitor. I hadn't played Rimworld in a while, so I don't know when either happened.
