Thank you for this!!!! I was just doing a solo run and every single break was catatonic! Was rather frustrating and boring just having to hit alt tab and do something else while waiting for the one pawn to hopefully wake up before dying.

No Nic. You are really lucky or just didn’t do a very good job keeping track.
In my 1000 hours of gameplay I’ve seen well over 40 catatonic breaks. And all of them have been equally terrible for their own reasons.
Whether they be colony ending or simply just downright annoying, catatonic break is by far the worst mental break in Rimworld.

If this mod ain't working in 1.5 people, just use Character Editor and REMOVE the "catatonic breakdown" hediff from whomever comes down with it. That's what I'm doing until it's updated again.

@alapma, it lowers frequency to 0. That means it works with mods unless those mods change the frequency of catatosis, at which point theyll override this if they're later in the order

So psychology should be fine.

ik u just said it just changes the catatosis chance to 0, but, it is compatible with mods that adds new breakdowns? for example phycology mod?

@Tkhakiro Ah, of course, this is actually a total conversion, it turns Rimworld into an FPS

@bearhiderug Not sure what each of those would mean, all this mod modifies is the breakdown Def for Catatosis, setting its frequency to 0

Ok so removing CCP Mental Breaks causes frame stuttering, so that's lovely.

I'm not getting any errors and I didn't get any catatonic breaks yesterday after removing CCP, but the frame stutters are just too annoying to tolerate.

I tried editing the XML of CCP and set catatonic chance to 0, but it didn't work. There must be another location overriding it. I also had dubs break mod installed. Going to try it without that.

I can't get this mod to work. 10% of all my breaks are now catatonic and it's ruining the game for me. Only this mod has offered a solution, but I can't get it to work.

@Greenbear the mod seems to have an operation that changes the commonality of breaks; you could probably just open up the XML of that mod and change the commonality of Catatonia to 0 and you won't even need this mod.

Is there any way to prioritise this mod over other mods featuring mental breaks? This one worked fine until I installed "More Mental Breaks" and "CCP's Mental Break Tweaks". Now catatonic breaks are back around once a week, no matter my load order.

I'm very tempted to download this considering I had serious issues with just how common catatonic breaks seem to be.

In one playthrough, a paricularly bloody battle took place and I lost more than half of my pawns. As I struggled helplessly trying to recover with the last 4 I had left, a series of 4 catatonic breaks in less than 2 (ingame) days completely brought everything to a halt. It was only by the arrival of a mysterious stranger in black was the colony able to live to fight another day.

I don't really want to completely remove them and thats why I'm not subscribing, but very glad theres a option out there for if I ever get extremely much more frustated.

After a tough raid, I had a single colonist still standing. After she rescued some downed colonists she went catatonic...

This was my first encounter with the Stranger in Black , who managed it to save all but two.

I am glad to never experience another catatonic breakdown ever again! :)

OH THANK GOD! I was sick of having to cheat just to make it so that my colonists would stop crying like babies in their rooms

Ah good, now I can feed my colonists without tables without worrying about them going into a coma
