Yeah that was done party out of necessity, because the last chapter of SoU can give you anything from +3 to +5 equipment depending on the RNG, and also as a bit of joke because of what will happen when you start HotU. You should end up with equipment/gold of similar value and I tried to add abilities to equipment that will make it useful in HotU.

Only started the module and I gotta say it's pretty well done, sad to see my equipment disappear though but I guess there will be replacements

Well, I tried some other modules. They all worked just fine. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still didn't work. I'm pretty mystified.

I know some mods can cause problem later in the module since I use some of the same scripts they override. For the intro, I can't find anything that could be causing a crash. It's all pretty basic scripting and standard resources. Haks and mods that override standard resources could be causing the hang by preventing the Narrator (who runs the conversation) from spawning. At this point that's the only thing I can think of. Do you have any issues with other modules?

Oh, I am running CEP. Didn't realize that made a difference.

None of the introductory lines fire and I got the same result with another character.

I just ran through the introduction with two different characters and took a look in the toolset. It worked fine for me, and I didn't see anything that should cause a problem. Are you sure you aren't running any mods like the PrC or CEP?

Do any lines of the introductory conversation fire?

Can you try running the game with a new character and see what happens?

Alright, I downloaded the EE version from the vault, and it showed up but I still had the same problem. The opening cutscene just doesn't start.

Hmmm... you can try downloading it from the vault [neverwintervault.org] and see if it works.

The bug you're describing sounds like a missing or corrupted file. Granted, I haven't played through it myself in about a year and one of the more recent updates might have broken something. If the vault copy doesn't work, I'll take another look at it.

Hi, thanks for the response. The cutscene did not start, I was just frozen. And I unsubscribed and tried to subscribe again but now the module doesn't even show up.

Do you have any mods installed? Does the cutscene start, or are you just frozen in place? Did you try deleting the game files and reinstalling?

Hello, for some reason when I try to start this, it just shows my character on an island in a cutscene and nothing happens. The game doesn't start and everything is frozen. Is there a way around this?

Hi, I had a glitch with not being able to interact with the ship anchor on the first shadow realm map as well - also managed to fix it after uninstalling Neverwinter Nights Facelift by Zwerkules (installed on Steam workshop).Haven't played through the rest of the module yet, hope there's no more weird conflicts.

Originally they were chained, but, since most of the invincible monsters don't have ranged attacks, it made things too easy for ranged PCs.

Suggestion about those invincible monsters would be to chain them all to the altar (i.e. teleport back when they try to leave)
This would give a breather for PCs figuring out the riddle :)

The puzzle at the standing stones was tied to the items, not the creatures. IRL each of the humors is tied to one of the Greek elements: http://www.greekmedicine.net/b_p/Four_Humors.html

In retrospect it might have been a little too obscure.

A good, compact adventure that manages to blend stylistically with Shadows of Undrentide. I especially like how the plane of shadow was depicted visually. The final boss battle was satisfying too.

My biggest criticism is the puzzle at the standing stones. I like the idea of using the altars to make the invincble creatures vulnerable. The problem is, even after getting past the puzzle, I still don't get the logic behind each artifact. For example, the Frost Banshee. At first I think I need to put the bile on the Water altar, since that's the closest there is to an ice element. Then I try the Fire altar, since that seems like the opposing element to the Frost Banshee. It turns out the Earth altar is the right choice, but why? As it stands now, you can't be sure you have the item on the correct altar until you land a hit on the banshee, and her cold aura can kill you very quickly.

Well it's not on Earth...

The first disk is in the catacombs in the dead forest area. After you cleanse the catacombs, the disk is in the sarcophagus in the treasure room.
The second disk is in the catacombs in the dead village area. It's in the trapped sarcaphagus in the same room as the Shadovar Eldritch Knight.

Sorry to butt in here, but where on earth is the disk for the first door in the temple of Shar? I've been looking everywhere and am starting to get the feeling I'm overlooking something obvious...:nwnstealth:

LOL and while fighting the litch my henchman gets turned to stone and i left him there by mistake. can't leave him like that and he was happy no pidgens were around. thanks for the help since there isn't a guide for this mod. he even died a few times but kept coming back from the dead by himself so I didn't have to raise him from the dead.

Each monster that you kill drops an item that needs to be placed on the correct altar to make the next one vulnerable. The Frost Banshee dropped something as well.

well now how do you get Malaugrym to spawn in the Goblet to get that black viale she isn't the vampires. or the warewolf they won't drop any thing.

To kill the Frost Banshee you have to place the item that the Malaugrym drops on the correct altar. Once you do that it will be vulnerable. If you scroll down the comments, I posted the solution to the puzzle.

:steamsad: Can't kill the Frost Banshee in the The Isle of Standing Stones and can't get to the The Lich's Sanctum. Is she ment to be unkillable and that area off limits to every one? I'm going to do some editing of the mod to see just why she is unkillable (x2_def_ondamage so she is a plot creature so she ignores attacks and just kills you slowly and you have to respawn or exit the game) and the waypoint doesn't work properly to get to the other area. So I will try to fix these things because she should not be a plot creature/item and the litches area should be accesable at least that is my thoughts. :steamfacepalm: I really hate loosing my items I had from before permanantly but at least now you know more about the reaper item. :steamhappy: But since you don't have to go there to win or have to kill her to win. After my editing I forgot that I had to edit her again in the litch's sanctum because there she killed me lol :steamfacepalm:

Thanks for your help. What should happen is the enemies should auto-resurrect if they don't have the red light vfx and die if they do. I'll try and get the scripts bomb proof for the next version.

I think the one that wouldn't die had the lights, yes. I reloaded, and it worked out, although they resurrect themselves a few times before they go down.

Does he have the red swirly lights vfx on him? If he's the last one he should stay dead.

If you replay the fight with the three of them, does he still keep resurrecting? I'm trying to figure out if it's something that happens every time you fight them, or just a one off deal.

I'm really liking your module, but I'm having a problem with the last Risen Helmit in the catacombs. Basically everytime I kill him he always resurrects himself. This only happened with the last one. The other two went down just fine. Am I missing something?

I just checked all the anchors and the scripts are correct, I also ran the module through to first time you use the chain and it was okay. Do you have the seal hunting quest?

found a glitch, either that or a missing travel point, when i clicked on the anchor chain to move to the second island nothing happened so I wound up stuck on the first island forever

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I was a little worried about making a new module for NWN; I wasn't sure there would still be an audience, even with the renewed interest from the EE. It may come over sappy, but hearing that someone enjoys what you created really puts a smile on your face.

When I faced the lich, Hassan got turned to stone. Once I turned him back to flesh, he wasn't in my party and there is no option for him to join up again that I see.

The Malaugrym dropped something when it died, if you put it on the right altar the Frost Banshee will lose its damage immunity.

Each of the four humours is associated with an element:
-Black Bile is associated with Earth.
-Yellow Bile is associated with Fire.
-Phlegm is associated with Water.
-Blood is associated with all the elements (but by process of elimination, Air in this case)

I don't have a clue what to do against the frozen banshee. Can't do any damage. I activated a pillar which did nothing to weaken it. Hassan keeps dying.

I just uploaded a patch that should address the issues you found.

Here are a few tips if you are struggling as a wizard/sorcerer:
-Use expertise mode when casting, the AC boost really helps with your survival
-Put Hassan in aggressive mode, and use the marking powder to get him to target specific enemies. Consider casting Flame Weapon and Haste on him as well.
-Improved Invisibility works really well.
-The damage shield spells (Elemental Shield and Acid Sheath) coupled with a DR spell (to protect your HP) can do a ton of damage to enemies.
-If all else fails, Bigby spells and missile storms are as effective as always.

Thanks for the feedback krickerd. Outside the mine, where you fought the wolfwere, there's a lootbag that has a gem of seeing in it. If you buff yourself with True Seeing the enemies in the mine will be visible. Once they can't use hit and run tactics they're not that bad.

I'll add a jump command to Rennard for his cutscenes. He should be following. If he isn't there, that will cause the cutscene to hang.

As for the Risen Helmites, I'll look at the script again. Hopefully I can have something by tomorrow.
