Nice logic challenge.

I played this because of Mike's Butterfly version...needed the simpler version as a prep course--very elegant. Do you mind if I make a remake of Moth with some of my own tweaks to the solution? It is a very inspiring set-up

It's a lot faster when you play the advanced version first  Favorited !

I was thinking what the "beautiful" finishing was in this map until i realized, that i finished it in a not intended way. You need to fix the wall which is facing the laser source, so that the portal you shoot on it is always centered.
I finished it by shooting the portal on the very edge of the wall so that the laser would get interrupted.
Kinda sad now, cause i thought it wasnt the right way and watched a playthrough and now i gave myself a spoiler.

But still a very nice way and a very nice solution to the puzzle. At least the official way :)

This is insane lol. Good job!

That was an extremely pretty solution, not a word I use often for this game but I think this one deserves it. Time for Butterfly!

@NG Midd Can't wait. Because your maps are awesome and very challenging. Keep up the good work. :)

@Atom Got two maps almost done. Some friends are going to test before I make them public. One is based on an unintended solution for one of my old maps, which I think is cool. I would've never thought of it if noone had broken my map the way they did.
Psychological Atom  [author] Oct 31, 2018 @ 8:36pm
@NG Mead Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. By the way, I was playing your puzzles and they are really good and challenging. When are you going to make a new one? :)
Midd Oct 31, 2018 @ 1:44pm
I loved the layout and puzzle logic. Very clear, you can see everything from anywhere. No info is hidden, yet it is still a challenge. The only thing that could improve it is perfecting the design with something like beemod so that you can't cheat anymore. I first ended up finding the unintended solution mention by #reversethepolarity. Still thumbs up from me.

Great map Atom :) Here's my blind run - https://youtu.be/v3c6bSwJpMc
Psychological Atom  [author] Sep 30, 2018 @ 9:15pm
@Super Dirt Oh yeah, about the light bridges. I don't have a beemod installed for a portal placement helper. That's why I used light bridges.
Psychological Atom  [author] Sep 30, 2018 @ 8:12pm
Hey @Super Dirt, I'm glad you liked the map. I watch some of Nock's videos and I know you are a master of hammer maps. And I really enjoyed your hammer maps. Hopefully I would see more of yours pretty soon. :)

Hello Atom,
I have checked your map out. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDyp0ebJuOs&feature=youtu.be )
I think that it is really well made, definately can see Demon's principles used. I think that the puzzle is great, as the funnel is used multiple times. My only question is why did you use the light bridges on the white walls? They do not bump portals.
Great job overall, I am looking forward for more maps!

@Almisuifre Thanks buddy! Your "Orbit" map was really well made. It didn't take me an hour though to finish it. Great work. I think I need to have some more ideas along the way to make some test chambers.
Almisuifre Sep 23, 2018 @ 4:54am
I enjoyed the way to link the opposite areas ;)

cool puzzle. not hard than usually ur making now days. but sheer fun to play. :p2blue:favorite:p2cube::p2orange:
reversethepolarity Sep 8, 2018 @ 4:26am
fyi, it's still possible to solve with off-centered portals, if you place the portal next to the rising platform higher, it's gonna be too high wo reach the cube and the platform will rise.
bullfrog Sep 8, 2018 @ 1:38am
I've got a few of yours in my queue that I must get back to :)
Psychological Atom  [author] Sep 8, 2018 @ 1:14am
@bullfrog Thank you. How long have you never played my maps? I haven't seen u comment in a while. :)
bullfrog Sep 8, 2018 @ 12:39am
Excellent puzzle which took me a while to solve, but it was never frustrating or boring - big thumbs up.
Joric Sep 7, 2018 @ 10:18pm
@Atom you bet I did. I'd give it 6/10 considering the amount of time I spent on it. Even @Mikeastro doesn't find it simple :) And it almost doesn't matter if you passed it before, the sequence is so precise you have to start from scratch every time.
Psychological Atom  [author] Sep 7, 2018 @ 8:30pm
@tapmage Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it :)

@Joric Thank you for the video, I'll watch it later. But reading your comment, did you overcomplicate this very simple test chamber?
tapmage Sep 7, 2018 @ 2:16pm
Nice puzzle. Seemed simple at first but then got 6/10 in difficulty, probably, meaning I spend somewhere between 30 to 60 min thinking about it. Thx.
Joric Sep 7, 2018 @ 9:00am
My 1 minute: https://youtu.be/dL7SVQKuHiQ why I spent so much time finding a solution? It's so simple and so convuluted at the same time, no tricks, no precise aiming, no portal magnets. I don't care if it touched frontpage, it might be the best map so far.
Psychological Atom  [author] Sep 5, 2018 @ 8:14pm
@leomievs Yes! That is intended! Great work :)
Leo Sep 5, 2018 @ 4:19am
Turns out I didn't get the intended solution because I solved it as did Mikeastro the first time. Without any off-centered portals it sure wasn't so easy anymore, but it was also more interesting and very clever! So I suppose this is intended?
jandlml Sep 4, 2018 @ 8:59pm
looking forward to the challenge :steamhappy: most of them are for me anyways haha. thanks all for creating!
Psychological Atom  [author] Sep 4, 2018 @ 8:27pm
Thanks everyone for the feedbacks. I fixed the map with good old light bridge emitters. I've been making very easy maps, but I will be back making puzzles my way. All i need is some good ideas and inspirations :)
jandlml Sep 4, 2018 @ 6:28pm
think i got your intended this time. definitely took me a minute. nice map!!
jandlml Sep 4, 2018 @ 5:54pm
ok i will try again
Mikeastro Sep 4, 2018 @ 4:35pm
......aaaaaaaaaaaand just solved it in a few minutes fully intended. There's a lot of words I could use to describe this test, but ''very easy'' would not be a part of it. Brilliant in its simplicity, I just overcomplicated it. Big thumbs up!
Nobody No-One Sep 4, 2018 @ 4:19pm
@jgaultney @Mikeastro The entire map can be solved without off-center portals. I think Atom's going to have to add some good old light bridge emitters to the sides of the surfaces.
Mikeastro Sep 4, 2018 @ 3:44pm
Also unsure if what I did was intended - to make the piston go up off-centering both portals to make the laser miss the cube? First I tried to do it without but I couldn't get it to work for half an hour so I resorted to that
jgaultney Sep 4, 2018 @ 8:46am
An enjoyable puzzle but I strongly suspect this is unintended since
it depends on off-center portals. https://youtu.be/6wsaTOIZqyM
Leo Sep 4, 2018 @ 2:09am
Nice little map, very easy but enjoyable. I used everything so I think I solved it as intended.
Psychological Atom  [author] Sep 3, 2018 @ 10:11pm
@jandlml @Nobody No-One Hopefully that is fixed. :)
Nobody No-One Sep 3, 2018 @ 9:51pm
I believe I solved it as intended, but upon seeing @jandlml's comment, I went back and tried to do it his way. Indeed, it's very easy to do without the track platform, as you can just funnel yourself over to that area using the rightmost portal surface in the exit area. I think it could be easily fixed by just making one surface non-portalable. Anyway, I enjoyed it. The intended solution is nice. Thumbs up.
jandlml Sep 3, 2018 @ 9:44pm
i didnt need the moveable platform. nice simple little map.
