Adding max weight doesn't seem to work, it glows green, weight is available, but it says "you can't carry that much"

This mod seems to have a big issue with maps that dont allow edgeleave.
One such example are the libaries from

My pawns cannot leave since the edge is disabled and the blue button
wants to send another caravan from my base.
Removing this mod allows reforming the caravan as normal.

Is that a modlist issue?
I never had this problem back in 1.4.

This is great for mini maps created with My little planet mod, you get the performance boost of less tiles but caravans become a little too easy when you can get to the nest town in half a day.

almost every caravan failure of mine is caused by starvation, i would love the addition of making it take more time for a colonist to starve in a caravan, but still it's an absolutely awesome mod.

I'd like to suggest/request an option to apply the caravan movement speed increase to vehicular caravans added by Vehicles Framework? As it is now, my foot caravans outpace automotive ones.

Also just quick question for the author - any chance this mod can make the caravan speed tooltip actually display the full calculation like it does when forming a caravan? For whatever reason it just simplifies down to the final speed of the caravan divided by the terrain move difficulty.. I want to see what EXACTLY is impacting the speed before terrain is considered.

Just letting them travel at night is amazing thank you so much for this mod.
I ragequit and googled for it right after my colony got destroyed with all my fighters high on combat stims napping 1 tile over.

Would it be possible to make it so pawns/animals/both if they all ignore terrain costs like flying types (I think it's from the pathing framework?), the terrain cost is negated? Maybe combined with the "pawn speed matters" option, wouldn't matter much if that one wasn't enabled either way I guess.
No idea if it would enable them to walk on impassable tiles but I don't mind those anyway, just for the normal caravan gameplay would be a great bonus :)

Strangest thing. I had to unsubscribe, and delete the mod folder in order for Steam to update the mod correctly, otherwise it kept saying it wasn't available for 1.5. Oh well. Problem solved.

Just to let everyone know, no this doesn't yet work with 1.5. I know that's assumed the obvious but there are a lot of other mods that aren't labeled as 1.5 compatible yet have no issues with 1.5.

In 1.5 with this mod's current version, caravan speed shows zero. I don't know what that means and nothing seems to change it, and I hadn't tried sending the caravan.

Can't wait for this to be updated. Sending caravans the normal way is atrocious.

The Global movement speed multiplier option is interesting.
I set a route with 8.5 days duration and speed 7.9 tiles per day.
I want speed up by x2. Went to the options and set to 2 (was 1).
Speed doubled yes, become 15.8 t/d.
But route duration decreased 4 times and become 2.1 days.
That is because we travel 16 hours and sleep 8 hours per day.
In first case caravan will sleep nearly 8*8 = 64 hours or 2 days and 16 hours while traveling.
In second case sleep nearly 2*8 = 16 hours.

My point is that X2 speed multiplier has too high influence on travel duration.
Please make possibility to enter multiplier between 1 and 2, by decimals. :AffinityPurity:

So it claims to be comparable with roads of the rim, but seems to reset the speed to vanilla. While I can change the sliders, it looks like the better roads getting rid of some biome penalties is gone. Is there a way to increase compatibility?

@ThottyNathaniel, I get your point, but I tend to respectfully disagree. A road going over a mountain is still going to be a stressful climb compared to a road going through a flower field. You still have to go up. Think of going up and down stairs, especially with a backpack full of goods and food. Ever have to take groceries up 3 flights of stairs several trips in a row. That'll take it out of ya.

Could the terrain type be ignored if there's a road, i think a flat land tile and a large hill tile shouldn't have a difference if there's a road on it.

I have a request. Can you put in a toggle that disables the automatic inventory dump when pawns land on a new map?

It's incredibly tedious fighting with them to keep everything packed just for the sake of dealing with a small raid or a brief stop off on the home map. It's usually faster to just spam drop from their inventory screen anyway rather than that weird back and forth dance they do.

There's a *really old* mod called Anti Auto Unload that used to do this, but it's like v0.18 and super abandoned. lol I feel it would tie in very nicely with this mod, so fingers crossed. :)

@PhrostDragon Sadly that's just how caravans work now. Pawn speed doesn't factor into caravan speed at all. Apparently this change was made in 1.3 as a response to people realizing that you could bring a bunch of rabbits (or some other fast animal) along with a caravan to raise its speed, because caravan speed was simply the average movespeed of all pawns/animals in the caravan. So, instead of solving the issue by making it a weighted average -- or even ignoring the problem entirely because the exploit is so incredibly minor -- caravan speed mechanics were entirely reworked to ignore pawn speed. The only thing that makes caravans move faster is mount animals like horses.

I'm still pissed about it.

hi i think the main game does does in vanilla, if you have 1 slow person, they slow down the whole caravan as far as i could tell

I have something to report. It doesn't come up as an error (so theres no log on it). But when starting a caravan and having the mass capacity set something higher than 1.0 (say 1.5) it wont let you actually EMBARK with an amount higher than the normal carrying capacity of the pawn. Any chance of seeing this fixed, or getting an option to allow this?
