I'm surprised you're able to use this mod at all with no issues, given that I haven't updated it since 1.0. Again, you should use https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2008138191 for better compatibility and regular updates. A quick search on the workshop also turns up this mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2008138191 which seems to allow for any number of colonists.

As for how you've got an eight way relationship going, I won't even ask.

1.1 seems to have added some new logic to sleeping spots for royalty, which would make updating this take some effort, so I won't be able to get to it for a while.

No, it's 1.0, I noticed it works for when 1 or 2 ppl are assigned to any bed, but when more are assigned, the thing breaks and it just says bedrooms... Might be something about the bedroom assignment mechanism itself... If you can't change that, no worries, thanks for the trouble tho :)

Not sure how I would fix that. Are you on version 1.1? It's possible something changed

Awesome mod! One thing tho, it doesn't take into account whom the room with the bed belongs to; this means that when the mouse is hovered over room, it simply says "Bedroom" (instead of something like Bedroom of XX, YY, and ZZ), and it also means that the jealousy trait is always triggered for the characters in the room, because the room doesn't "belong" to them...

I'm not sure that there's anything I can do then, sadly. Sorry

That is the first thing I tried, as well as re arranging the pawn order at the top of the screen, and building a new bed after rearranging order. Seems i can't change this arbitrary order, i can't even seem to find what assigns it.

Good question, try unassigning them then assigning them again in a specific order? It's never occurred to me.

Now that I think about this would be a good solution for keeping prisoners together

Did a simple update to 1.0. I still reccomend meltup's version ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1543694909 ), but if you'd prefer to use this one, you can again.

I guess I can look into updating. I don't think meltup's version has bedframes though, I'm not seeing anything about that in the mod files for it.

I like this mod better than Meltup's version. I don't like bed frames, it makes the building process a lot more annoying. Simpler implementation is the best. Love your work :)

While I agree that simpler implementation is better, Meltup still has a number of improvements that I essentially just forgot to include, a big one being graphics. If you just want to remove the research requirement from their mod, it's as simple as doing this:
1. Navigate to `...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1517352581\Defs` and open `PolyamoryDefs.xml`
2. Remove all instances of the following:
` <researchPrerequisites>
<li>ComplexFurniture</li>
</researchPrerequisites>`

You should note though that this research requirement for beds is also present in vanilla rimworld, but only tribal colonies need to research it. Without this requirement, tribal colonies will be able to get beds before they're supposed to be able to.

That being said, I likely won't update this mod unless several of you agree that you want it.

Meltup's mod has too many bells and whistles. Needing research for a larger bed is simply preposterous.

Hey guys, Meltup has made a much more polished version of this mod that's in line with the new bed graphics and has some fixes that this mod doesn't have, such as having the new beds rely on research to get the same way vanilla ones do for tribal colonies. I encourage you to check it out if you make a lot of use of this mod! Once it adds quad/penta beds, it will obsolete this mod in basically every way.

The beds mostly exist to support mods which make polyamorous pawns easier to come by, since you can end up with a group where at least one member is just stuck with the mood debuff for not being able to sleep with their lover because the game only considers a single bed object to count. Thus the need for 3+ person beds.

I mean no, I've had a three way relationship before as I said. It's just uncommon and may or may not be dependant on the psychology mod.

So the polyamory beds exist, but there's no real functionality to have the pawns use them for their intended purpose... not sure what the point is I guess? Or am I missing something? Not trying to be critical, it's useful, but it feels like what we really need is a polyamory mod.

I've had pawns get into affairs yet not break up with their old partners before. I thought this was vanilla, but I do almost always run the Psychology mod which might be affecting it.

You can get the pawns to use the beds by manually setting them as owners via the action button that appears when you select the bed, as you would with a regular bed. Pawns can automatically claim ownership of the bed if they don't have one, but won't share it unless they're in a relationship with the other owner(s) of said bed.

Is there some other mod you're using to allow multiple romantic partners and nontraditional relationships? How do you get the pawns to use these beds?

Sadly I don't think I'll be doing linkable beds. It's a good idea, but it wouldn't be very simple to implement (it would require changing how colonists recognize who they're sharing a bed with which is coded into the game at a deeper level).
If I do another update I may consider changing the name, though. That's a good suggestion.

Hey, I love this mod, I was wondering, can you make a linkable bed ? like other mod do for table and stool, that's can make things more easier and flexible than doing every bed version
(and add a royal linkable too in this case)
Also "polyamory" can be a better name than "polygamy" because polygamy is one man with multiple spouses and polamory multiple ppl in love, I think it will fit better
