And add Plasma Pistol (requires portable capacitators), a small but still powerful gun. Works well as a sidearm.

A screenshot using the WeaponStats mod would be useful so we can see how these stack up against vanilla weapons in the same weapon class.

Plasma granade laucher: fires burst of 3 plasma granades
Unstable plasma accelerator: plasma variant of flamethrower with incredible armor penetration
Plasma sphere launcher: equivalent of doomsday round but with flasma flame in explosion radius

Would also like to see Plasma Pistol: cheaper and lighter than plasma rifle, shorter ranged and lower rate of fire but compact. Cost: 30 Plasteel, 4 Components, 1 Advanced Component Research: Compact Capacitators (3000).

@Babo nice mod, one suggestion though I would like to see the plasma damage changed from Sharp to Heat/Burn damage as it would better fit with the description. Changing the DamageDef from Bullet to Burn could be all that is required, although I'm not so versed in modding Rimworld.

actually they are pretty balance damage wise its actually armor pen I was more worried about but anything over 90% armor pen is going to be really too strong, so long as that doesnt happen, this mod should be 100% vanilla friendly
(hint only the sniper or slow shooting guns should have high armor pen)
but a armor pen around 40-60% is really an ideal area for high end weapons as an average and snipers/similar weapons near the 80% or more.

If anyone is curious, I did a comparison here:

A good-quality Assault Rifle's max theoretical dps is 12.185.

A good-quality Plasma Rifle's max theoretical dps is 17.955.

Accuracy on my Shooting 14 colonist is exactly the same between the two guns.

Assault Rifle has a range of 31, but the Plasma Rifle has a range of 29.

TLDR: Plasma Rifle deals 47% more damage, at the cost of 2 tiles of range.

Hey Babo, this looks pretty interesting. Could you post some weapon stats so we can compare to vanilla variants? Want to see if they're more accurate, do more damage, etc.

Also, will raiders be carrying these weapons as well?

I really like Rimlaser because it feels very vanilla, but still has this "new and cool" vibe to it. How does this mod compare? Do they make awesome "pew" sounds? Some more information in the mod description would be nice. :Djoe:
