@Antigram - This map is FULL of custom objects. Just about every one is a custom object. There is also an underground bunker as well.

It IS an unique map to say the least. Best suited for foot fighting (MOUT) as the east roads are pretty much useless. The west side can be used for combined ops.

And yes, a mission EXPORTED from the old version WILL work with the new version of this map once imported and saved.

It seems i found an answer, but since i havent found an answer anywhere else, is there an example on how to set up zeus or prefab one could add to a map in eden and save with little more trouble?

Thank you for your comment. My name is older than most people on Steam are in real life. I was using that name in SP/MP stuff for 35+ years. I was the first on Steam to use it.

Reason being, I try to always use a machine gun, thus the name. It was 'modeled' after the REAL Machine Gun Kelly, who was a gangster in the 30's, in the USA. Always used a machine gun (Thompson).

The 'load the mission' was me telling him to load the old mission into the editor and look around, so sadly, no missions here! ;)

The Editor has this thing called "Edit Objects" it's in the environment tab. Use it to hide anything you don't want. Since the apocalyptic stuff is there by default they'll be props (Baseline they're Local with Simulation Disabled and set as Simple Objects).

Thank you. The old Esseker map was throwing all kinds of errors after update, missing files of some sort or another.

@Extazz - TYPICALLY, no, old missions will fail. And this is true for ALL maps. SOMETIMES you can, very rarely will this be true. The way you 'fix this' is to open those mission and just re-save! Pretty simple fix!

I would suggest you look around and make sure that any 'stuff' is not in a building when it use to be a field. In those cases, a re-save might NOT work as there may be a script using that exact location, which no longer is there.

Just open mission in the editor, re-save, and try!

THIS dev just fixed some of the graphic issues within the map itself.

The map looks like it was inspired by Osijek(Hungarian name Eszék, German name Esseg) the name of the river(The river Drava) inspires me to belive that it is the place the map was inspired by. You can edit the mission file and MANUALLY remove that item or add it back in.

I have this happen ALL THE TIME when some mod I use updates and then the mission will not load. Same goes for maps too. IT IS A SIMPLE FIX!

Also - NEVER EVER BINARIZE THE MISSION FILE! By doing such, you can not edit the file easily to rectify your issue(s).

Also - ALWAYS BACK UP! If you have, then you can 'fix' the file as I mentioned above and be 'golden'.

As long as you have the mission file, YOU ARE NOT SCREWED!

You just need to learn ARMA better.... ;)

*** Part 3 of 4 ***

Over the years, I have noticed people having issues with mission files that give them the dreaded ‘Deleted Content’.

For those who know how to deal with it, it is fairly easy. But, if you do not know, then you’re stuck.

Not only that, but if your mission has 20, 30, 75+ items in the ‘AddOnsMetaData’ class section you could spend 30-60 minutes renumbering the items after you remove them. Heaven forbid if you delete a semi-colon or cause some other syntax error!

So for those that struggle with how to fix this error as well as help those the the ‘AddOnsMetaData’ renumbering, I have put together instructions as well as a program that will automate some of these procedures for you.

This program can be used for ANY ‘Mission.SQM’ file which gives you this error. It does not matter you get it when you try to play your mission or when you try to edit the mission. It does not matter if it is for Exile, KOTH, SP, or MP.

This program (64kb) is a Windows program that can run on any version of Windows, from Win95 –> Win10 with no issues.

This is a program that I have personally been using for over 2 years and it is a time saver!

Instructions on how to use the program as well as how to fix these errors are contained in the YouTube video which is in the ReadMe file as well as directly from within the program itself.

When you download this program, you will have a choice on a ‘Stand Alone’ version or an ‘Installed’ version. Try the ‘Stand Alone’ first. Both will be included in the RAR file.

If you have this map loaded, do take into account that it adds a dependency. I just lost hours of work on a scenario because of it. The dependency is something along the lines of CST_R_Tower. Be warned.
