You can try one of these mods:

[WOTC] Locked and Loaded (by Hotl3looded). This adds a way to unlock ammo slot for all soldiers (I think including SPARKs and any custom classes but I might be wrong), but you need to have a GTS and meet the requirements to purchase it.

[WOTC] Mechatronic Warfare: Total SPARK Overhaul (by NotSoLoneWolf). Included in this overhaul for SPARKs is a free ammo slot for all your SPARKs.

I am using both of these mods together. They don't conflict.

The mod doesn't modify armors. It just modified the base utility slots per soldier class.

I just noticed these don't provide extra slots for the tactical legacy armors. Most probably don't care as they can just do the appearance for those armors, but for certain gear mods, like Covert Infiltration, it matters.

it worked right out of the box for me i don't think it's actually incompatible i think the user who reported an incompatibility had a different mod conflicting

@Laast - how did you get Dedicated Pistol Slot to play nice with dedicated vest slot?

@Aeternus late reply, but you would just set the number of slots you want each unit type to have in the configuration. I'm assuming you want everyone to have the same 1 slot (Reapers got 0 in the vanilla game, I believe) so you would just set everyone's number to 1. It's really quite simple to setup and mess with once you look at it.

How can I edit my files to add a utility slot to only the Reaper class? I feel like that's a better approach than trying to jury rig this mod to achieve the same thing. Either that or guaranteed tactical rigging perk being available from the training center would do the job.

Does it make it so armour that normally would add utility slots doesn’t add slots, or do you just get extra slots?

Hi, just installed this thankyou. Only issue is that, in game, it's not letting me remove items from the utility slot once added, although I can change the items in the slot. How do I configure it to be empty again please? Thankyou

Ok what im having is that I can only use 1 slot, when i put an item into the other utility slot and backoup of the character it auto deletes it and replaces the first slot with a random item. Anyone know whats going wrong or what i can do to fix this?

This mod is in my must-have section. Works great with everything I use. However...

could you Astral, or anyone reading this, tell me if i can split the vanilla classes out the way the hero classes are? I'd like to make my specs into gear mules but leave my sharpshooters extra lean, with everyone else in between. All I see is 'Soldier' in the ini. I was thinking I just need to add lines substituting some subclass for the 'soldier' class but I have no clue what that would be or if it will work.

If you want to add these slots to the alien races from RealityMachina's Allies Unknown then open up the XComGameData_CharacterStats INI (from More Base Utility Slots mod folder), and copy and paste the existing lines of the Soldier template and add the Alien Species in front of it (EX: QuarianSoldier, TurianSoldier, TwilekSoldier, ETC.)

There is "Infantry" Class on the screenshot, which makes me think its possible somehow, but line

hello, I have a problem, I put in the new slot a munition and it is not taken into account in the part after, it is not displayed in the weapon on the right, I tested with screen ammunition blue and I have no more damage on the robots, so it is not taken into account, how to solve the problem? please, does this seem to come from an incompatibility with The Remove Unique Restrictions mod apparently? is there no way to fix the problem? possibility to take a look?

The Remove Unique Restrictions mod - in the recommendation did use to do just that a year back but not anymore, im not sure what changed since then.

I would not be surprised if the game simply doesn't support multiple ammo items per soldier. I doubt it's something that can be changed in config

Did some testing tried a crazy build in which instead of researching new tier guns i add a new ammo type to the loadout. I changed the inis to have 10 utility slots and have multiple unique equipments (vests and ammo). However even if i place 1 of each ammo type on a soldier (old and new ammo) only the first ammo in the utilities is applied and the rest are ignored. They also dont stack ( so no +100Crit +5 Crit dmg with 5x talon rounds ) any tis on how to change the inis so that the effects stack / are applied from multiple ammo types?

Yeah, now it gives me the slots. For some reasons I have some random grenade / ammo slots on soldiers that shouldn't have them, so I probably still have some conflict. But I don't care, I simply don't equip anything in them, so this is fine for me. Thanks.

It seems to work fine for Faction sodliers, but not for my normal soldiers. And for some reason it designates the additional utility slots grenade and ammo slots specifically....

What could be the reason that I don't get the additional slots? I started a new game with this active, and it didn't apply. I tried changing armors, and I use the highlander, but it still shows in the armory that a soldier only has one slot. I also use robojumper squad select, and there I also don't see additional slots.
Maybe it is because I had vest slot / ammo and vest slot mods active previously? (although I did not make them active when starting this new game) I did clear the configs before starting the new game though...

It looks like this mod is not compatible with Dedicated Pistol Slot. Editing the default ini for number of utility slots doesn't add extras either.
