Would it be possible to change this so it is tied to the month of the year?
KEEPER Dec 20, 2016 @ 10:00pm
i like the idea of this mod...is there a way of making the nights even shorter? and add some kind of lore to it like using areals bow with the sun arrows to make night time not as long or not exist for the duration that it's set at?
lupus_hegemonia Nov 23, 2016 @ 5:51am
It's great mod, but not realistic for SKYRIM, since Skyrim land is actually a NORD land, frozen land mostly, so... not so longer days (as it is in my country, Mediterranean one)...
...But is a good useful mod (not so realistic, but good).
Oldc0ol Jun 17, 2016 @ 9:46am
Thank you. Makes the game look better. :)
Kreamalicious  [author] Nov 7, 2015 @ 10:32am
Thanks everyone for all the kind words! It's nice to see this mod still has a place (:
Lhetre Nov 7, 2015 @ 5:50am
Much needed mod to appreciate the game if you don't want to be a vampire.:blocky:
gugnihr May 30, 2015 @ 5:13am
this mod makes Skyrim a lot better. Original day duration was just depressing
t dog the tree frog Oct 25, 2014 @ 9:01am
best mod 10 out of 10
paizuriprincess Jun 21, 2014 @ 3:18pm
*sighs* I love this mod
Lord Ɨnquisitor Jun 17, 2014 @ 7:26pm
its 20 by the way if u decrease it to anything at or below 10 i sugest u get a 3 day respawn mod change it to 200000 watch what happens its really cool
Lord Ɨnquisitor Jun 17, 2014 @ 1:32pm
i wanna make it reallife time
Lord Ɨnquisitor Jun 17, 2014 @ 12:42pm
what is the default timescale for skyrim so that if i want to change it back to default i can
Coolmannico May 3, 2014 @ 11:22pm
Awesome mod!
Allie Feb 11, 2014 @ 5:56am
*facepalms* wow some people really can't read......once again: , all this mod does is change at what time the sun rises and sets in skyrim. Making the minutes flow faster or slower betweet times is a CONSOLE COMMAND. Read the description people, sheesh.
Precurse Dec 25, 2013 @ 9:55am
how do i put the time back to normal after i set the timescale to 14?
Iriath Zhul Aug 11, 2013 @ 7:12pm
I'd say you should just call it a "Summer Time" mod but then people would think you made everything warmer.
Primus Pilus Jul 17, 2013 @ 9:12pm
can always use 'time scale' adjustment in the interface ("set timescale to #") 20 being default game time and 1 being real time.

I downloaded this after seeing that it was compatable with CoT, but for me this mod seems to change the Sun, i.e. theres no sun rays/ gleam anymore and it never seems to rain or anything other than sun in whiterun hold.

Are you sure this is compatable with CoT? this is a mod i would like if it works
Emerauld Feb 27, 2013 @ 8:44am
Just found a "Longer Days/Longer Nights" on nexus for those of you who want a choice.
Emerauld Feb 27, 2013 @ 8:38am
Maybe you should have named the mod "Longer Daylight" or "Summer Daylight" for those a little slow on the uptake ;-) I for one am greateful for such a mod. For those of you more into winter, darkness, or Alaska time, just move on and don't use this. Jeez!
whonoes Feb 27, 2013 @ 8:23am
I just added this mod a couple days back, I have all 3 expansions installed. I noticed when playing the dragonborn expansion I CDT often both outside and inside dungeons. I narrowed the CTD down to this mod. Interesting I think as the CTD always happens in the exact same spot in game or within seconds of entering a given area. Any plans to upgrade this so its compatable with the new expansions?

lol
Bonechatters Jan 4, 2013 @ 8:49am
I only clicked on this mod because of the font. Very nice!
dr46onfusion Dec 14, 2012 @ 11:32pm
Well at least this mod makes 6am actually bright enough to get around when using weather and lighting mods that makes it hard to see in the dark.
The Dark Ranger Dec 2, 2012 @ 6:07am
i ment secure as in It was not realistic enough for when I envision skyrim taking place
Kreamalicious  [author] Dec 1, 2012 @ 9:38pm
@ The Lonesome Ranger: What does security have to do with anything? Plus I never claimed this was a realism mod. It is what it is - nothing more.
The Dark Ranger Nov 29, 2012 @ 5:41pm
I have been to alaska. I feal that skyrim is in early spring or early fall and I know that in the summer 4 hours of night and in the winter 4 hours of sun so I do not feal secure downloading this mod

Using "Longer Days" and "Realistic Timescale 1:5" since yesterday. So far so good. Did not yet try fast travelling though.
DuoX Nov 28, 2012 @ 12:33am
LOL The first thing I thought was "did he extend the days?" The exchange about Timescale command was priceless
Kreamalicious  [author] Nov 27, 2012 @ 1:58pm
I'm actually going to try that mod out bitl. I'd like to have my 1:5 timescale work with Fast Traveling.
76561198065903874 Nov 26, 2012 @ 11:47pm
Thank you 3ncryptabl3.
Kreamalicious  [author] Nov 26, 2012 @ 11:30am
If that mod changes the sun object then no. If it's just a timescale adjuster then there should be no conflict. As you can see in the Questions / Confusions section above, the two are mutually exlusive and you can use this mod along with adjusting the timescale via the console.
76561198065903874 Nov 26, 2012 @ 7:43am
Will it work well with the "Realistic Timescale" mod {LINK REMOVED}
Thanks.
Possum Nov 3, 2012 @ 12:06am
Thanks 3cryptabl3 :D
amoebae Nov 2, 2012 @ 3:08pm
Thanks 3cryptabl3 - that makes sense. I didn't ever notice auroras in daytime before (I've been using your mod for a long time), but perhaps I wasn't ever really looking for them until now. I really don't like how they look in daylight, so for moment I'm going to disable this mod.

This is really a great mod though, so to anyone wanting to use it with RCRN, I'd suggest changing the load order so the Longer Days .esp comes below the (current) 2 RCRN .esp files, then there shouldn't be any conflicts :)
Kreamalicious  [author] Nov 2, 2012 @ 1:47pm
@catabuca - I can't speak to RCRN and Longer Days compatability. Regarding auroras when it's light: If Longer Days is loading properly then there will be instances when auroras will apear while it is still light out because Longer Days extends the daylight times of a day by making sunsets start later and sunrises start earlier. It stands to reason that there will be some overlap between the sun still being up and the auroras apearing - as have been noted by other users.

@INeverHead - You can't use both at the same time.
Possum Nov 2, 2012 @ 1:14am
Is it Compatible with "Longer Nights"?
amoebae Oct 31, 2012 @ 12:30pm
I've noticed a conflict appear with the most recent version of RCRN. If I have this esp load before theirs, sometimes the transitions from day to night will happen instantly (rather than naturally, with sunset, etc.) and I often miss out on aurora. Changing this esp to load after the RCRN esp's makes this one work properly, but I get aurora showing up while it's still light.

I'm going to leave a message on nexus for them to let them know, and to see if there are workarounds to change when the aurora come out (after 10/11pm would be preferable), and will leave any feedback here when I get it.
LordZarmack Sep 15, 2012 @ 11:58pm
i set mine to 10- i found it gave the game a really nice feel
LordZarmack Sep 15, 2012 @ 11:58pm
yeah cheers man i figured it out like 10 mins from when i asked tht question lol =) duh =p but yeah good mod man keep it up
Kreamalicious  [author] Sep 15, 2012 @ 4:48pm
I use a timescale of 5 > set timescale to 5 < this is equal to 5 minutes of game time passing for every 1 minute of real time.
LordZarmack Sep 7, 2012 @ 7:23am
i am considering making it real time u know its tempting but then itd never be night unless u were able to match game time to real time- still youd be stuck with eternal night at night lol =) - dont supose u have a recomdation to the ideal time so u know time passes ingame. abit slower but not enuf to stop day's and nights coming say at a tripple rate more so 1 day isnt 24 mins, but say a hour? what would be the timescale and how would i do it in the console. - cheers
LordZarmack Sep 7, 2012 @ 7:21am
hey how do i adjust the time setting to say half of real time? so say for evry 1 hour 7 houres pass ect- u know not too mutch but enuf to make it so day lasts about quater longer- u know?
Andi Sep 6, 2012 @ 10:59am
yeah i tried it the other day, seems to work without any problems! :D
Kreamalicious  [author] Sep 5, 2012 @ 4:33pm
MajorKoenig, I haven't tested this mod with Climates of tamriel. If you try it out please come back and share your results.
NoiT Aug 31, 2012 @ 7:36am
thanks homie this shit is good B. HOller !
Andi Aug 17, 2012 @ 12:01pm
Im playing with Dawnguard, still works fine to me
But what i want to know is, would this Mod work with the "Climates of tamriel" Mod?
Moosekin Aug 7, 2012 @ 12:52pm
@ Jardenon
You can't make both the day and the night longer, you would run out of hours...
Jardenon Aug 6, 2012 @ 7:29pm
Do you have a mod that does both longer days and night at the same time? if the days in skyrim were any shorter it would remind me of ocarina of time.
