Exaelus i don't know if its just me because i do have a lot of mods but suddenly I'm getting and issue regarding missing quest icon for the difficultly 2 for farmstead. [2025-05-28 14:44:39] [ERROR] [General] Error: No quest type icon defined for:cleanse_farm difficulty:2. I only bring it to your attention because you are the mod adding the 2nd difficulty. Id appreciate any help

@harry potter: Sadly you can't, because of random buffs the monsters can get a random max HP buff and if they do their health is set at the starting health and the max health just increases the health cap, so I need a heal event that happens after the buff event for the health to be maxed out.

Hey! Currently figuring out this mod and I had a question if it is possible to somehow disable the "health restoration" thingie animation&SFX that triggers on all monsters at the start of every battle (as if the monsters spawn with 0 hp and are restored to full)? I tested it with only this mod enabled so it's not a compatibility issue.

@Exaelus Regarding vanillia bug,latest version of DD and coming hot ones introduced old bug that makes farmstead reward blink and dissapear,it's not fault of yours mod.
And second one i managed fiddle with files of yours mod and made quest items and other unstackable items,stackable

I have come across a bug. When in the farmstead between the fights, there are sometimes things that give you items to take.

There's a ghost woman that disappears and gives you a trinket. There are also shards that you can get.

When I activated these, the items flashed briefly and then disappeared immediately as though I had spammed the "x" button on the box. I didn't have any characters with kleptomania or any other "steal the items you get" quirks and it happened with both instances. I didn't get the items in the post-mission either.

I only attempted this once but I'll let you know if it happens again after restart/reboot.

@Happy to Teach: Yes, the ethereal quirks need to level up, from level 1 to level 6 they are called: "Faint, Feeble, Appaling, Ghastly, Spectral, Ethereal and with each new level the buffs increase. On the topic of attunements, they cannot be replaced by a new quirk, so no need to lock them, I'm glad you are having a good time, yeah this mod overall took quite a while to get where it is and it's nice to see that people enjoy it. ^^

can the Attunements be overwritten by random perks?

It looks like the soul keeper can't be, but the reminiscences can be. I never wanted to risk them enough to find out so I've just been locking attunements when I got the chance.

This mod is a 10/10, fantastic everything. HUGE Depth. Deeply appreciate the massive amount of work that went into this and I absolutely love how the systems interact. Thank you so much.

I have a question:

For things requiring "Ethereal Soul Keeper", does my hero with "Appalling Soul Keeper" qualify?

Is "Ethereal" a level after "Appaling" that I just haven't gotten yet?

@Exalus. No, look your effort respectable but mod not so much good Mr. There is no sense for enemies also heroes. Your innovative thinking and enthusiasm are good. I think this game needs more maps not some kind of hardness for players and enemies. This unbalanced for two sides. Apology for shitty talk at first. My heroes have started to one hit after 3 or four round. Enemies dodge everything bla bla bla game's origianl hardness is enough, unchained heroes mods are so good for heroes. It is sensible with heroes. They are equipping armor but they have not protection in origin. This is nonesense and this sentence i wrote, only one example about original game.

I figured, the time limit would absolutist kill you not to mention the death limit.
right now my issue is learning what is new and how to deal with it, and getting used to having so few characters at the start with less modded classes but that one is my own fault.

I will also say, this has def-fidelity made me realize how good off healers can be

@solzhen: Yeah, there are some changes in the code for the heroes, to make things work better overall, if you have your own versions of existing characters you can put them above my mod and it should be okay, probably, but it also might cause some issues. ^^

@solzhen , it's for proper work of trinket sets from mod, if I understand and remember it right. I did not dive deep into this, but, for example, book sets will work wonky or won't work at all. Except for Musketeer. She's got a full rework in this mod.

Hello, I wanted to know why does you mod include info.darkest files for the base classes? Makes the mod overwrite changes from any mod that touches the same file if loaded above, and I wonder if those files are necessary for this mod to function. Thanks :steamhappy:

@A Sad Kitty: I agree that the beginning can be rough, on my four playthroughs I got obliterated only once, my testers agreed, well majority, that they think this is perfect as it is, so I agreed with the majority and left it as is, however I hope you are playing it on Darkest difficulty, it's meant to be played on Darkest difficulty, if you play anything higher, it's going to destroy you, that's only for masochists. ^^

@Exaelus: Thanks for the response! All of this happened way even before I got the buildings unlocked. I think the problem is there is a lack of player control at the start of the game. That you cant even start playing till u unlock the buildings. I love the challenge. But relying on rng when I dont have anything to gamble with yet feels like playing a casino even when Im broke. Depressed, Irritated and wants to exit out. Thanks!

Would love to get a version with the changes and additions without the extreme difficulty. The traits on starting characters from the stagecoach severely hampers the journey towards mid game. Such as the withered trait. Bro is already withering and chose to go to the hamlet still. Why? it doesn't make sense even from a hero's perspective.

really cool mod but sadly borderline masochistic, had a party wipe on my SECOND QUEST, damage doesn't seem to be balanced on low level quests
