Really great map. I decided to design a fictional modern railway; here's the map if you're interested: http://www.danielgill.net/maps/ManchesterMap.pdf

There are no extra settings that come with the map. Are you running any other mods, such as GrandT's massive map settings? Mods like this will throttle or completely stop city crowth. Thanks!

anyone else have an issue where the towns dont seem to grow at all? this is my first experimental size map, not sure if ive missed a setting somewhere, other than that this map is ace!

Not at the moment

is there a map with industy???
alaidler Jul 19, 2018 @ 4:07am
You have an industry in the sea just west of Hightown. I'm currently playing on your Wales with industry and loving it, but will be using this map asap. Thanks for your excellent You Tube content also,
Kevlar  [author] Jul 18, 2018 @ 8:41pm
Cheers. This one is sort of an attempt at scale. For example, the in-game distance between liverpool and manchester is the same as the real life one.

Thanks for this map Bumbling Brit, if its as good as the other stuff you've done, I know I'll like it!
Minelogical1231 Jul 17, 2018 @ 1:24pm
Indeed @Bubmling Brit :P

Nothing better than a map that hits home :)
geoffersh Jul 17, 2018 @ 3:34am
Great map, this will become one of my favourites, as I grew up in this area and became a railway nut, over sixty years ago.

i must have caught your video early if i was able to do all the steps in it, try to fix some of the issues, and then get the map on here before the map you actually did in the video. :)
HexAyed Jul 16, 2018 @ 3:57pm
Yeah, I experianced that too... bummer really, but gave me an excuse to start again
Kevlar  [author] Jul 16, 2018 @ 3:47pm
I'll have to re-add that name. Had to do a quick rebuild a few week ago due to a problem wiht some mods!
HexAyed Jul 16, 2018 @ 3:02pm
Fell behind on your England and Wales series, I was the one who asked for a loco to be named 'Thunderchild' if you remember, Looking forward to catching up tho!, Keep up the good work man.

Kevlar  [author] Jul 16, 2018 @ 2:25pm
Haha, sure. I have all kinds of ideas :)
ccrzzydve1 Jul 16, 2018 @ 2:21pm
would you be tempted to cross to the "best" side of the pennines at some point ?
Kevlar  [author] Jul 16, 2018 @ 1:55pm
I do have a "with industry" copy, but I think I made a mistake somewhere as it refuses to load (crash to desktop) I do aim to get to the bottom of this and release it. At a guess, I cocked up the map lua script somewhere.
Steve Emfore Jul 16, 2018 @ 1:25pm
Shame about the lack of industry, guess I will add myself
Kevlar  [author] Jul 16, 2018 @ 10:47am
I find it easy to add towns to my maps, but there comes a time when I have to stop! I will consider some additions once people have had time to try the map.
johndai Jul 16, 2018 @ 10:01am
Very nice map indeed .... luv it

Thank you BB
cw_315 Jul 16, 2018 @ 9:33am
it is however, missing a few places: Oldham, Shaw, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Buxton, Miller's Dale, Leasowe, Newhey, Littleborough, just to name some, but great map anyway
