@Mad Yes this still works in b41 but that version has not been updated since December 29, 2021.

@levesqa1 I just did some testing and I see the option on natural water sources, toilets, sinks, etc. The clothes can be almost anywhere in your inventory - worn or not, in your player inventory/backpack/carried container/etc. The option is under the object menu named "Sterilize". It might be a conflict with another mod.

@GerG0Gadget Nope, unfortunately PZ devs have not made them easily editable to modders and I did not want this mod to be dependent on any other mods.

in current build I don't see an option to sterilize defecated clothing. Is there something needed.

Stand next to sink with bleach in in inventory? wearing the clothes? not wearing the clothes?
Tried multiple configurations but not able to sterilize.

It could be the mod "Plumb Helper PLUS [B42]" that interferes with "Defecation" because it affects toilets etc. I can check next time I play. - "Bathroom functions is built on an old B41 version of my mod,.." - nater. That's probably what fucked it up for me.

@Mithridates Seems to work fine for me on a fresh install with only Defecation enabled. Any more details?

Bodily functions are disturbing enough without having to break in and barricade an apartment just to poop. Not to mention the fear of zombies catching you with your pants down... worse with the mod that makes them talk occasionally... Feels like they might be judgy.

@Fuyuno I don't use those, so I couldn't really give you any specifics. Defecation was released in 2018, excrementum released in 2022, and bathroom functions in 2024. My main design goals are to be minimal and fun without being too micro-managey, and also being integrated in the game in a vanilla friendly way without requiring other mods as dependencies.

Bathroom functions is built on an old B41 version of my mod, after I gave the author permission to create a 'urinate' mod.

Excrementum has not been updated for B42.

@whale hunter No, there's already a timer to simulate pulling them down partially. I don't know about you, but I don't take my pants all the way off when I go to the bathroom.

@Ringa Diarrhea is currently tied to the vanilla tainted water / rotten food system. I do not have plans to make this food specific.

i have the gas and the lighter, no burn option still. Yes, i can burn corpse.

@V1NCEN7 I just looked and I'm not seeing any issues. You only need 50ml of gasoline and matches/lighter/etc. I tested in a regular gas can and in a random container (milk bottle). If you have a backpack/etc those are all checked as well, same way as vanilla.

Can you verify you have the option to burn corpses? (You need 100ml to burn a corpse.)

I wasn't trying to blindly believe Discord but that's why I just added a disclaimer rather than going around complaining, I don't really know you and so I didn't really care + I considered that you'd maybe just delete / ignore my comments or ignore my friend request, in my mind what I did was a lot faster and easier.

I do feel kind of bad for removing the references to yours on mine (newer mod, didn't change the urination mod) so quickly, so I'll re-add that. Glad to have unity once again in the zombie game bodily functions community lol

@MonkeyShark I have never "unjustifiably DMCA'd" anything. The 3 (I think?) DMCA's I have filed have all been approved and the mods have been removed within a few days. I'm not going to deal with trying to contact someone who stole my work when Steam has a process (DMCA) in place to handle that exact issue. Discord is not a trustworthy source when you can literally just ask me lol.

I don't currently, and haven't ever had any issues with you or anyone who doesn't blatantly steal my work. The only reason I specifically removed the link to your urination mod from my page is because you now have the "Bathroom Functions" mod mentioned there too, which would replace my mod. I have no spite or vendetta against anyone.

@nater I saw you removed mention of the Urination mod and heard in the PZ discord that you were unjustifiably DMCA'ing things. Figured you'd go after me out of spite. This guy saw the disclaimer at the top of my mod and got mad.

I've also got no problems with you and I wasn't trying to stab you in the back. I put 4 mentions of you in the description of my new mod to try to redirect some traffic, and I wasn't going to backport to B41.

There are multiple mods for the same thing, but I didn't like Excrementum, didn't want to rewrite the Urination mod, and your mod has things I wanted to do differently in my own mod. Rather than spam you with "CHANGE THIS" I made a different one. If that did seem like a dick move I apologize, people still prefer yours and will continue to do so.

@V1NCEN7 The same way you burn corpses in vanilla - you need something that will start a fire (lighter, matches, etc) and a container with enough fuel.

@Captain Happy Not sure what you're on about? I have DMCA'd multiple copycat versions of this mod where they change a few things or upload it as a "fixed" version.
