I feel the “medieval coat of arms” completely out of place for native Americans, Japanese daimyos or even Muslim kingdoms.
I would like to get something like in CK2 where religion / culture defines the shape of the shield
- unsubscribe
- delete the mod in the workshop folder
- delete the mods_registry.json file
- restart Steam
- resubscribe and download
- run the game with *only* this mod active
if it still crashes send me your error.log file in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis IV\logs (I'll PM you my email)
if it works on its own but crashes with your usual modlist then there's an incompatibility that I can maybe fix or at least list in the description
Works perfectly on my side. I didn't had any issues in the last 30 hours of gameplay.
This mod simply doesn't work (game loads but none of the changes are applied). The bigger UI version crashes the game immediately after the initial loading finishes. I do have other mods installed. I don't think they should be interfering with this but I'll still mess around a bit to see.
Do you have the Emperor DLC and are you using any other mods?
It works fine here. Uploaded a screenshot.
Not for the Emperor, not for the Electors and not for the Princes.
Hail the new launcher! Hail the bugless experience!
let me know if you folks have any issues =)
.. I honestly cannot play without this one. The vanilla UI is just not the same...
archive="mod/ui_combi.zip"
in the .mod file as well as in descriptor file inside the steam folder, along with the actual path="..." directive. Once I dumped that line the mod works fine, thankfully.
I also tried the bigger_ui version but you haven't updated it yet, right? It still crashes EU4 on load.
I did what you said below, and now the mod is ok for the last version, I can launch the game with it, but the mod doesn't work : when I launch the game with this mod only, it's like I was playing without any mod.
What can I do to solve this ?
1. Unsubscribe
2. Exit Steam
3. Delete the files in your /mod and Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\236850\ folders
4. Start Steam
5. Subscribe again
6. If it says it's for 1.28 launch it anyways and see what happens
Here's the version that will run with Bigger UI:

I think it will run fine with the 10th Idea mod. You may have to add the Combipack as a dependency to the .mod file though.
This mod doesn't change the checksum (it only affects gfx and interface) so it should be ironman compatible.
