You would need a direct comparison in identical situations to really compare correctly. Where literally everything is the same.
It sure doesn't drop mine any. Plus there isn't even a reason why this tiny patch would drop a frame rate. It isn't even viable. Just a small change in JSON data. The interface itself isn't open most the time, and this mod isn't even scripted.
If you are simply loading 2 different characters to compare, there are countless things which could be different and make a difference.
I'd love to add features, but this interface cannot be scripted like some others can. I can add tabs and sorting rules for the tabs, but I can only do what the hard coding allows for.
I'm just a bit pissed that the mod got deleted and I lost my characters on witch I did a lot.
also thx for the help, ill try it
None of my inventory mods have been removed. You're thinking about Carlucci's Inventory. I was listed as a contributor because it was based off my inventory and I helped him with developing it when he got stuck etc. Since I was listed, it would show up when browsing the list of my mods - the same way TrueSpace is now - but it isn't my mod per say.
You can't find it because he deleted it from here and from the SB forums too. Sorry but the only remaining option for saving the character is manual conversion - https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/882900100/133259956011112917/#c2132869574268909855

But just to make sure first, follow this link and make sure you are subscribed to the base mod too.

It really will fail to load if you haven't, since the base mod is a prerequisite. Starbound self-terminates if you are missing a prerequisite.
If that isn't it, copy that log onto pastebin, and leave the link here. I'll look at it.
That has the 180 slot copy/paste data, plus the original link to the directions.
I have a pretty good idea why... you're installing these mods without reading descriptions (or so I guess). All action bar mods with non-vanilla sizes require new characters be it more slots per bar (like the ones you mentioned) or more bars to flip between(like Frackin Action Bars).
Likewise all inventory mods will require new characters. You probably even messed up your character attempting it - because of how Starbound's engine handles this with adding in new bags but not adjusting the bag size - so it doesn't work but removing it results in undefined bags.
If you are wanting to convert old characters, or fix ones that are broken, manual conversion is your only option. I'll give you that link.
I just added a discussion with the copy/paste data you need for the 180 slot version. It links to another discussion with the directions you need.
Well... you can see one in my screenshot. That being my 10 slot side action bar. Although you don't have to use mine. Any will work.
The same problem comes up with extra action bar slots as inventory slots - You need either a new character, or you need to manually edit character data to salvage an old character. Ditto with mods adding more bars to swap between (vanilla is 2).
You can make it as big as you want it til you run out of screen space LOL. However you'll have to move a number of UI elements around, and edit a few PNG files like the background, header, etc. The sorting system is handled by the main mod and you likely don't need to mess with that.
For what you'd need to do, unpack this mod to see what this patches changes from the base mod.
There you go - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1782208070
i usually avoid mods from the community forums for easier time when modding with multiplayer, but if this is client side i'll see how it works out.
i would very much appreciate a workshop mod if you ever get the chance; but there's no rush at all; thank you very much if you do !
hope you have a good & easy-going work-day !

If it doesn't work for you as-is, you can edit it. It is a pretty simple file.
I could put up something like that on the workshop, but for now I have to head to work.
please if you can, may you make a mod to shrink UI for more compatibility with 800x600 or 1280x720 resolution ? i am quite the hoarder in any game i play; so your mods are a must for me !
Maybe. The FU server last time I looked has the base mod but not this patch. And it seems like characters with too many slots (more than their inventory dictates) seem to be alright just so long as they don't have anything in the higher slots. Otherwise you might get an error from it.
It would be best to empty most your stuff into a container if in doubt, and hit the sort button so it all goes into the lower (0-127) numbered slots - before goiing on the server. But that's your call, and I guess erroring out once isn't a big deal.
My main inventory mod (but not this patch) is part of the collection used by FU's official server and probably others. But if you're talking servers which don't include it, then no.
Now your characters - if they use any inventory mod which adds more tabs - they won't be usable on any server that lacks the mod. Ditto with single player should you remove that inventory mod.
So do note that.
You can "probably" use a character with the 180 slots per on a server that only has my standard inventory mod (120 slots per) but for sure the higher slots won't be accessible at that time. And I can't guarantee this, but some minimal testing didn't show any problem with having too many slots. Too few slots will definitely create errors. And I don't play multiplayer at all myself.
