Are these competing overhauls ?
this is the best mod for Rome&Attila including DEI,
Now, hopefully we can play as the republic, pompey or others as well.
I would suggest one thing, however: since we eventually want a grand Roman civil war with Caesar marching on Rome, perhaps have it that pompey, caesar, and crassus are just allied to rome and not each other (this way, when crassus declares war on egypt or something it's not the entire world but his little realm and the republic). A trigger later on with caesar marching on Rome would be nice (and declaring war on Pompey etc for this as well!)
Can't wait to re-enact my favorite TV series! :D
As you say, the Story goes being heavily outnumbered was the Norm for Caesar and his Legions, just look at the battle of Alesia. its said that 200K gauls attacked and tried to help Vercengetarix and Caesar won. Now I'm not saying make them god tier, but I mean the first Legionary unit has 14 melee attack and I think that one is their damage. The Gladius was one of the Finest weapons of Antiquity so they should probably get a buff, I mean Rome 2's Hastati has better attack than that, hell so do the Auxiliary Infantry, a Spear armed unit.
Roman separatists turn crashes the game
