I'm currently paying a 800+ day campaign in ACOK and find that once I start taking
castles in Westeros, the castles tagged as ones with siege towers do not have siege towers and the AI just stands outside the castle walls never attempting to come inside.
That is subjective. Also, go to Essos, look upon the Dothraki raiders ;)

I think this is by the lore - slavery is prohibited there.

Only when you press "attack" while also holding "block". But I agree, this is annoying. So I use a .txt tweak to disable shield bash https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/txt-tweak-compilation-for-floris-2-5-gameplay-or-expanded.219038/#post-5242387 .

Looks like no, Cozur (the author) posted on the Taleworlds forums about this.
There are almost no enemies in the field, so it is impossible to level up and earn money.
Slave traders are almost nonexistent in the 7 kingdoms area, so prisoners of war cannot be sold.
When attacking, the player does not swing his sword, but instead "pushes out his shield," a meaningless action that prevents the player from engaging in combat.
The ship's movement alone is a huge loss.
I have changed to the Native setting and there is no change.
I hope it's just my environment...
